Why would anyone buy a used Porsche from anywhere else? I hope your attention to detail continues as your business inevitably grows from all the graft you’re clearly putting in. Smashing it lads.
Gr8 video on the 991.1 common fixes...so wondering your trials to fix the engine fault are charged to the customer, no free dinners. Although not the issue you can say preventative like the, air filters, throttle body, labor it all adds up.
One of your best videos Luke! I love seeing these where you get down to the nitty gritty. I love the way Ollie shows off his skill and turns around and gives his great smile for the camera. My mercedes windscreen washer system is inside the hood like that one and it is a pain to keep functioning. The plastic tees and elbows fit over the inlet to the washer nozzles and loose their grip and seal so the water doesn't make it through the nozzle. Use a needle to clean out the nozzles. They get hard water deposits in them from people using tap water in them. They do not need to be replaced. Those headers could stand powdercoating or ceramic coating to keep them from rusting especially in your wet climate. Cheers and happy new year!
Excellent video. I have a 991.1 c4 GTS and previously a 991.1 c2s the videos are very interesting and full of good information and advice. Just wish you were in Scotland. Happy new year guys and keep up the top videos.
Thanks for your comment. It sounds as if you’ve had some lovely cars. If you ever find yourself down our way, we’d be happy to work on them for you! Happy New Year from FGP.
You mentioned a recall on changeover solenoids. And that there are 8 of them on the 991.1 2012. Can you confirm and should I be taking my car in to Porsche? Thanks Greg
@friends green Porsche Great video! What exactly did you do to free the stuck exhaust valve? Mine are seized and have had no luck trying to get them loose!
Hello BELLA STAFFY PEARMA Pearman. Removing the rear bumper to gain access to remove the air box is not part of our inspection. Nor is it part of any independent inspection that’s ever been carried out on our cars by third party companies for our clients. We of course inspect the service history, and if the major service interval is due, we complete it as part of our sales preparation process, which includes renewal of the air filters. The 991 in this video wasn’t due a major interval. This 991 Carrera S sold for £59,997. I hope this helps. BR Luke FGP
The washer jet issue is a silly design fault. They’ve used a brittle plastic which suffers stress each time you open the boot lid. My 2017 991.2 suffered this failure after 24 months and 12,000 miles.
A future common fault coming your way. Coolant pipes were a major problem on the 997/987, steel locking collar on the rubber coolant pipes from the radiator reacts to the central aluminium crossover pipes which feed the 2 radiators and recently caused a substantial leak on mine. Do you know what Porsche did to sort out the problem on the 991/981? - nothing! There's nothing you can do except replace them. Front subframe needs to be removed and it's mad not to replace all the pipes while there. Afterwards an alignment is required, looking at £1500 (plus trailer recovery due to lack of coolant) just for a known problem causing a leaking pipe, this will start to occur when the car is around 10 years old. In four years of ownership, my car has only needed the washer pipe replacing plus the sports exhaust solenoid and a perished aircon O ring causing a leak - so not bad.

Happy New Year gents - Ollie is a legend! Great work all around and the website looks spot on.
Great videos lads - only thing spoiling them are the endless adverts but that's out of your hands.
Great video guys . Thanks for explaining stuffs as well, I love more on the tech side & you were pretty good at it...
Another great video Luke 👍🏻
Simple and informative 😏

Cheers Luke. I may be after a 996 c4s so I will definitely keep you in mind. Keep churning the content. Happy new year to you and the guys. 👍
Agree with you Luke the exhaust sound on the gen 1 superior, although I would say that!
Nice video thx & regards from Spain...
Happy new year guys keep the vlogs coming luv them and learn a bit about my car
I had the same issue and resolution for the AC in my 991 recently. Was expecting the worst but a refill had sorted it all
Lucky customer .That would be a good fleecing at an OPC.....Happy New year to your whole team.
Thank you John - Happy New Year to you too!
Top content 👊
Changeover valves and dynamic engine mounts are a very common failure point in 991.1’s. Also the air oil separator.
That part where the 991 was being backed up made me so nervous lol
Great content as always 👍
Nice video. Wondered if you had a secret for the dreaded exhaust bolts and how to deal with them?
Please please do a vid and drive of the 997.1 turbo
How do you guys cope with that weather. Greetings from sunny Oz. Great show.
Great video!

I had that split washer pipe on my 981 Cayman - took it to porsche to fix under warranty and they just put some tape on it!
Love the look of the 991, I own a 997 S and the question will always be 997.1 turbo or a 991 S. great video👍🏼
Nice! Any plans to do a video guide on the 986 Boxster? Seems prices are skyrocketing and wondered your guys take on this car? Cheers
Hi, we don’t deal with many Boxsters so unfortunately we probably won’t be doing this video
Recently bought an 8 year old 991.1 and also had non functioning front and rear lid struts. Normal wear and tear I think.
New website is cool - a suggestion for site 2.1 is to reinstate the most recently added option to the sort on the stock pages
Hi Daniel, thanks for the feedback. The default "sort by" on the Online Showroom page is actually by most recently added.
@friends green Porsche Great video! What exactly did you do to free the stuck exhaust valve? Mine are seized and have had no luck trying to get them loose!
hi, have you ever come across a passenger side window not going back up when unlocking the car? tiny bit. but creates a crazy wind noise on mine.
Awesome
My next whip👌🏾
Great content as usual guys
Where do you source all service items and parts
Can a 991.2 PCM be installed on a 991.1?
It’s some well used 911. Sum up to the team and the owner.
How do I get to do this job but in my area 😂
What brand of 2 post hoists do you use Luke?
so you were going to send out a car worth 50k plus with dirty air filters and throttle body. After your inspection??

@@friendsgreenporsche5234 fair comment. I didn't know this.

The first issue I see is someone put the bloody steering wheel on the wrong side! 😂
Wow, the endless noise in the background. Ugh! Can't watch anymore. Gave up at 9:36.
Is pronounced “Porsch” or “Porsché”?
Good share albeit more car commentary less tuneage would be brilliant.
I guess mine is a rare car, having a manual gearbox.

Why do you call it a PORSCH ???? It's called a PORSCHE !!
If you deal with these cars then you should know how to say the name PorsCHE
