Thanks for the comments guys, appreciate the feedback on the mods weather it’s positive of negative. My current feeling since making this video is that I might switch back to the Carrera classics and put some summer tyres on, and remove the vinyl lettering on the side of the car. Cheers. Yep, good move! Perhaps it's because I'm an old scroat, but I prefer the car as it comes, standard. The front spoiler might be something I might consider though. Good video, as usual.
I would of kept the original alloys, and definitely remove the decal stripes. You mentioned a few times trying to avoid tacky and the those decal Porsche stripes screams tacky. You got a very nice black Porsche and it looks very classy, elegant and classic
Only because you asked. Normally I'd keep my opinions to myself. Not a fan of the stripe, the springs, and the shake can painting. I like the mats and the splitter. Not a big fan of the GT3 buckets though, They're not very comfortable outside of the track. And I absolutely hate Alcantara. It's a miserable material IMHO. And last but not least, I'm kind of ambivalent on all the wheels shown.
Side decals maybe in red would of tied it in nice with the callipers. Not a fan on the wheels but personal choice. Nice to see a fellow Porsche owner modifying his car 👍
Interesting that you spray the very small chrome spray port black, then put a huge vinyl stripe with yellow lettering on the side. I am a big fan of Porsche’s and have owned and modded several over the years. Enjoy your car.
Very nice! So far on mine: 1. Clear front side marker lights (North American cars come with orange ones) 2. Soul Performance street headers (sounds awesome!) 3. Softronics engine tune (the difference is noticeable) 4. Radiator grill covers to protect the radiators 5. Raised height centre section leather armrest with embossed Porsche crest (looks great and makes the armrest a bit taller) 6. 20" phone dial wheels (a bit controversial, but I like them and it gives a cool retro look) 7. Full PPF covering followed by a ceramic coating. Keeps that black paint swirl and scratch free. 8. AntiGravity lithium battery. Over 40lbs lighter, and has a built in reserve capacity that you access with a push of a button on a fob that lets you unlock your car and drive away, should your main battery go flat. 9. Carbon fibre exhaust tips. Next up is Eibach springs as well. Just need to lower it a little bit, like you said.
I like the Techno wheels, interesting that you have so much $$ tied up in wheels / tires, good to know for those of us with limited budgets. I like the dual-season floor mats, nice choice.
Keep the original wheels (or maybe check out the Sport Classic wheels, best 991 wheel IMO) and lose the stripes, or at least the script in a contrasting color. No stripes would look best but if you want to keep them make the script the same color.
I like the 2nd set of wheels and the spoiler lip. They simply look good on this vehicle. In addition, I would include those same stripes, only they would be entirely silver. Otherwise, I would leave them off. Good video...keep up the good work.
Agree on the stripes. They are tacky and 1970s. I’m also concerned with your apparent addiction to buying wheels and tyres. They all look pretty good to me although the originals are fine. Nice car though.
Everyone hates the stripes and I thought I would too, but I have to admit, they make the car look awesome. Even better with the Carrera Classic wheels. Gorgeous gorgeous car!
Sorry but I’ll only give you a pass for 3 of the mods. The front bumper mod, the light washer colour change to black and the lowering of the suspension. The original wheels that came with the car are best. All the other changes look tacky. The side decal looks horrible and the grey logo looks off as well. The new mats look cheap. Sorry that’s just my opinion.
Rims look good, unique choice. I also surprisingly like the side decals, would probably match better with yellow brakes but overall very clean and tastefully modded car.
I like your current wheels and the original wheels the same. As for the other mods, I think the lowering of the car is something I would never do, but it is one of the nicest Porsches I have ever seen, so is it the wheels? The side stripe is fine. I could see myself getting one, but some people prefer the less shouty approach I guess? I love your number plate. Nice car man.
I like the techno wheels but also the classics like great too, I do like the side strip, however if are to keep the yellow lettering, the brake calipers need to be yellow as well, just my thoughts, sweet looking car anyway, cheers for Australia 👍 keep the content coming Satch
I have a 981C but it has the standard sport wheel with multi function, I want to swap it to the sport wheel with alcantara and paddles instead of the 2 way switches. Its for looks only, the wheel I have now is more practical and with the 2 way button I don't even have to lift my fingers which mean I can grip the wheel better and focus more on driving. I just don't like the look of it, that's all. That's what Id do if I were you. The decal.. I don't know, I've never been a fan personally. Too subtle for flare, too noticeable to blend in.
good video, I have a 2013 991, not the S though, my mods were I put on the same front spoiler, added, the dual exhaust tips, had a back up cam installed, added a usb connection in the center console, went with the clear side marker, put 20s instead of the 19s, had the calipers painted red and added the Porsche decal on the calipers. I also brought the reset tool, and did my own oil change, and the biggest job was i replaced the two air filters where you had to remove the entire rear bumper. Thinking of changing out the exhaust for more HP, but how fast do I really want to go. Lowering it seems a nice change, I will consider that. Love the car...love the manual feel , plus if prevents people from asking you to drive auto version.
Those floor mats are fantastic. Great video, been watching a lot of your videos, great stuff. I like how you are an owner, not jus some auto journalist who gets to drive every new car then make some video about how every 911 isn’t as good as the GT3, as if we don’t know that already (i hate the GT3 wing). One question, do you still have this 991 or did you sell it to buy the GT3 Targa? Also, since I’m buying my first 911, do you recommend the 991.1 over a 991.2 since pricing is getting close to the same since the .2’s seem to be depreciating more? I know this isn’t an easy question, but my 911 won’t be my daily driver, so i don’t care so much about the tech being a little older…..must admit, it’s a tough decision since the .2’s make more power and torque down low….
The wheels that came standard are my favorite and what came on my 17 .2 base. Mine is also the base black! So hard to keep clean but it is my DD after all. The sport techno wheels are a close second, and I do like the stripes. An exhaust would be a great mod to look at, Soul PP has a few options!
Awesome mods bud, well done! I love customising my Cayennes. Now I want to add a 991 to the collection! Subtle and nice … keeps the car updated. Love the graphic decals. If was shit, Porsche wouldn’t be offering this and the 911 versions on their cars as options in 2022.
Techno's look the best...personally I would remove the Yellow Porsche lettering and just have the current theme solid grey stripe if anything...but I like "plain" sleepers. Like those mats, and the bucket seats are great - but I would likely drive the car daily and I wouldn't want the hassle (even as a young guy) of damaging the bolsters. Tune is cool.
Looks sharp. I have the same wheels on mine. I just installed the ducktail and sports design front bumper too. Will you be doing this swap as well? I know you did the gt3 front bumper on your last 991.
I would put the winter tires on the original Classic wheels and then use the Techno wheels in the summer. Best of both worlds. If I were to stripe it, it would only be in red to match the brake calipers. The de-badging of the rear is nice, but I would leave Porsche in chrome, not sure how long that grey would last. Can take or leave the front spoiler, not that big of a change. The floor mats were pretty cool. ECU for sure.
Congratulations on your simplicity of exposure and for the beautiful machine. I also own a 2013 991 4S with a Cartier red interior. Could you send me the specifications you placed the order with for your front and rear mats? Thank you Michele Marullo
Love the Car, just not a fan of the decals. If you still have the decal would you consider changing the "PORSCHE" to Red as it will accent the calipers. Love what you did with the "PORSCHE" in gray on the rear bumper, but in spraying the letters it seemed as you painted the bumper as well How did you clean up the gray plastidip overspray? One other question, have you considered adding spacers to the wheels? (I have 7mm up front and 15mm in the rear of my 991 4S)
Lovely 911. Definitely keep the original alloys, maybe change colour of alloys to gunmetal grey. If you want to keep the side stripes do them in matt black. Whatever anyone says, do what you want as it’s your motor 😎
Sport Techno are the better wheel as they are .5 in wider front and rear than the other 991.1 oem wheels and have most aggressive offset.. They also look great on the rolling shots. The stripe is a bit mehh..
Thanks for sharing your ideas and progress on your car. Personally I wouldn’t be concerned with what anyone else has to say. It’s your car and that’s all part of owning a “passion” car like a Porsche. If it was supposed to be sensible you would have bought a Toyota and this channel wouldn’t be nearly as entertaining
Hi mate, just wondering what you did where the side decal overlaps the paint protection film on the back arches? Did you just go over the top of the PPF with the decal? Would you do the same if you did it again? Thanks in advance for your help.
I am going against the majority of comments and against my usual stance but I like the decals. Maybe it is the 2 colour thing but I think it works. Mine it black.......will have to brush up my photoshop skills and see how it looks lol!
Less is more. Original wheels and no stripes [the fact you are not sure about the color is telling you that the stripe was a bad idea]. The lip is good. Lovely car

I prefer the original Carrerra wheels myself.
They are the only forged wheels out of all
I would of kept the original alloys, and definitely remove the decal stripes. You mentioned a few times trying to avoid tacky and the those decal Porsche stripes screams tacky. You got a very nice black Porsche and it looks very classy, elegant and classic
Interesting. I thought the decal stripes were the best upgrade
Prefer the original wheels vs the others.
The Yellow on the stripe should be red to match the brake calipers.
Nice car! Standard Carrera wheels are best. No yellow decals.
Kill the stripes as everyone knows it’s a Porsche.
I always feel it's a downgrade when adding stripes on sides!
It looks cheap to me.. personal opinion.
Original Carrera wheels look a lot better than the others, maybe that’s why Porsche chose them, however it’s your car your choice! 👍🏽Red decals too.
The rears need the spring perches adjusted to reduce the rake which will give your front lip more clearance.
Sport Technos are definitely the best. Not a fan of side decals, but as you say, it's a matter of personal taste.
Side decals maybe in red would of tied it in nice with the callipers. Not a fan on the wheels but personal choice. Nice to see a fellow Porsche owner modifying his car 👍
Is that your car for sale at dove house? Looks very similar?
The original wheels looked the best!
Ive got to be honest mate, those mates just look cheap and tacky really not in fitting with what is a classy looking and tastefully modified car
I agree entirely
Interesting that you spray the very small chrome spray port black, then put a huge vinyl stripe with yellow lettering on the side. I am a big fan of Porsche’s and have owned and modded several over the years.
Enjoy your car.
I agree, the sport techno II wheels look the best.
Very nice! So far on mine:
1. Clear front side marker lights (North American cars come with orange ones)

3. Softronics engine tune (the difference is noticeable)
4. Radiator grill covers to protect the radiators

I like the Techno wheels, interesting that you have so much $$ tied up in wheels / tires, good to know for those of us with limited budgets. I like the dual-season floor mats, nice choice.
I have the Carrera S Wheels in Platinum, but always love the Sport Techno Wheels. Great choice. My favorite. Also, love the floor mats. Great look.
Keep the original wheels (or maybe check out the Sport Classic wheels, best 991 wheel IMO) and lose the stripes, or at least the script in a contrasting color. No stripes would look best but if you want to keep them make the script the same color.
Wheels look good, side decals no, we know it's a Porsche
I like the 2nd set of wheels and the spoiler lip. They simply look good on this vehicle. In addition, I would include those same stripes, only they would be entirely silver. Otherwise, I would leave them off. Good video...keep up the good work.
Need to get a sports design steering wheel
Agree on the stripes. They are tacky and 1970s. I’m also concerned with your apparent addiction to buying wheels and tyres. They all look pretty good to me although the originals are fine. Nice car though.
Lol you are not the first person to say that. My plan would be to keep the ones I love and sell the rest.
Everyone hates the stripes and I thought I would too, but I have to admit, they make the car look awesome. Even better with the Carrera Classic wheels. Gorgeous gorgeous car!
100% my favourite are the Carrera Classics. Such a gorgeous shape and colour to them.
Porsches Looks awesome in black. 🙌🏼
I have the same scanner. And I will be doing the lowering springs. I am in the states, so I did do the clear side marker.
Just saw your car for sale???
Dove House Motor Company: perhaps!!
The front lip is a must imo, I install them on every car I've had
Also big fan of the Sport Technos, just wish they were more concave
I Wish we could upgrade the PCM system in the 991. I have a 2013 911 Carrera and could not believe it didn't have a back up camera.
Rims look good, unique choice. I also surprisingly like the side decals, would probably match better with yellow brakes but overall very clean and tastefully modded car.
Your right about the calipers, after you pointed that out the striping would look better, I generally don’t like stripes but that may look good
I like your current wheels and the original wheels the same. As for the other mods, I think the lowering of the car is something I would never do, but it is one of the nicest Porsches I have ever seen, so is it the wheels? The side stripe is fine. All looking very smart. Love those wheels!

Very good video. Your idea painting the rear emblem is something I will do to my chrome too! Thanks
Floormats nice and the decals are cool too
Sports and super sports mode alter the transmission change time and not the throttle response. Same on the 997
Love the Sport Techno wheels!
Porsche classic wheels look great on your 911.
good video, I have a 2013 991, not the S though, my mods were I put on the same front spoiler, added, the dual exhaust tips, had a back up cam installed, added a usb connection in the center console, went with the clear side marker, put 20s instead of the 19s, had the calipers painted red and added the Porsche decal on the calipers. *_Perfectly curated mods_*
Remove the stripes the car is fine without them, Carrera wheels and no to the carpets.
I like the vinyl decals !
Carrera classic wheels look great!
Looks good mate, nice subtle upgrade.
+1 for the Carrera Classics
You thinking of putting a mesh on the front to avoid rocks and leaves entering the condenser?
Those floor mats are fantastic. Great video, been watching a lot of your videos, great stuff. my 991 has the classic wheels but with the grey blacked. also its silver and I have black wrap on roof. also spacers 10mm F and 15mm R
Satch I would paint the calipers yellow to match your side banner.
Stripe looks great. I want the same but in the US so hope to find them. Mats look great too!
The wheels that came standard are my favorite and what came on my 17 .2 base. Mine is also the base black! So hard to keep clean but it is my DD after all. The sport techno wheels are a close second, and I do like the stripes. An exhaust would be a great mod to look at, Soul PP has a few options!

I’m not a fan of the yellow lettering either.
Looks sharp. I have the same wheels on mine. I just installed the ducktail and sports design front bumper too. Will you be doing this swap as well? I know you did the gt3 front bumper on your last 991.
I’m thinking eventually I will put the sport design front bumper on yes. 👍
Can you swap the headlights to the full LED ones ? - think they look much cooler and modern
Not entirely sure as I’ve never looked into it, but would look great I agree.
Gorgeous! Ever think about switching in clear brake lights? I always thought those looked good on darker color 991s.
love the wheel love the side strips yellow -gray is cool. thumbs up from newport beach california USA
I would put the winter tires on the original Classic wheels and then use the Techno wheels in the summer. Best of both worlds. 991.1 or 991.2 and what year is your 911? Thanks!
It’s a 2012 991.1
@@alsatch_ Nice upgrades. Is a ducktail spoiler next on the list?
Love the Car, just not a fan of the decals. If you still have the decal would you consider changing the "PORSCHE" to Red as it will accent the calipers.
Love what you did with the "PORSCHE" in gray on the rear bumper, but in spraying the letters it seemed as you painted the bumper as well How did you clean up the gray plastidip overspray?
One other question, have you considered adding spacers to the wheels? (I have 7mm up front and 15mm in the rear of my 991 4S)
All modifications made it worse - looking best original 👍🏻
Lovely 911. Definitely keep the original alloys, maybe change colour of alloys to gunmetal grey. If you want to keep the side stripes do them in matt black. Whatever anyone says, do what you want as it’s your motor 😎
Wheel spacers to give it an aggressive stance. 15mm all around.
Side vinyl yellow switch to white or color PORSCHE to match calipers (option color).
I would go for mat black stripes or dark gray
Nice idea on the plastidip on the chrome - question, does it simply peel off the bodywork, and how did you not pull it off the badges?
What remap are you considering? That’s something I would like to do as well.
nice upgrades, go for mirrors upgrade too
Must mods: 1) lowering springs 2) tinted windows 3) stage 1 tune 4) forged wheels (example: BBS FI-R) 5) Aerokit 6) carbon diffusor 7) sport cat 8) PCM delete 9) rear seat delete
Why use a diamond cut wheel with winter tyre? Winter salt will seriously corrode them if there is the slightest stone chop in the laquer.
Yellow calipers to match Porsche side decals!
Think I'd have got the porsche decal in red to match your calipers - you're right, those first audi wheels were horrid
My 991 Turbo S is 100% stock and I am keeping it that way, I see no reason to change anything.
Thats great to know. Thx.
Sport Techno are the better wheel as they are .5 in wider front and rear than the other 991.1 oem wheels and have most aggressive offset.. They also look great on the rolling shots. The stripe is a bit mehh..
I love the floor mats but found website hard to understand as far as getting ciorrct mats
Thanks for sharing your ideas and progress on your car. Personally I wouldn’t be concerned with what anyone else has to say. Is there an updated link for the floor mats?
Your Winter wheels look best... classic
😂😂 How did you spray the letters 😂😂.You are crazy man .
what year is your porsche
To match the side decal, paint the calipers yellow, not red!
Less is more. Original wheels and no stripes [the fact you are not sure about the color is telling you that the stripe was a bad idea]. The lip is good. Lovely car
Says chrome is tacky but has a bright yellow Porsche logo on the side. The yellow matches nothing on the car ?
I have a 991.1 but I would not change anything on it
Hi, where do you buy the carpeta for 991? Regards
Carpets, sorry
Classic Wheels. No sticker
- but that’s just me 😉
have a 9114s 2013.... some noise inside of car I can't figure out how to fix ! seat belts case maybe ? help!!!1
me too .... exactly seatbelt case... going to dig and figure out
U need colored crests in the wheels
The washer caps pop out.
Chrome badge matches chrome wheels.
Fuchs alloys would be better IMO
Tasteful
