Was on a subway in Boston this past weekend, very little has changed.
진짜 지지직 거리넼ㅋㅋㅋ
I remember the night this came on. I couldn't stop laughing.
Same 😂
Ditto!!
Hilarious...and absolutely SPOT-ON!!! Anyone who rode the subway in the 80’s and 90’s know these “voices” all too well!! 😂😂😂
Not just the 80s and 90s... it's like this to this day on much of the Philly subway and I'm guessing NYC as well.
Yes sir I concurr 100%
Brings back memories
God bless
Same for in 2021
@@tealmer3528 it was like that in Boston back in the day
Not much changed in 2023 unfortunately lmao
Hahahaha! I've been waiting for this clip for a long time! That's the NYC I remember!
I worked there from 1978 until 2015. I understood every word that was said! Scary!!!
Mfrg grrfth plrth frrthler?
Lol, im canadian and i went to nyc quite a few times in the 90s and this was so true, i couldn't understand a word of anything.. even the guy at the booth was impossible to decode. I haven't been to nyc in 8 years, i hope they fixed that.
This is bullet on point the way the Speaker would sound in the MTA system in NY All Throughout the 80's and The 90's
Yep, my aunt lived there in the 80s and we both moved to Los Angeles in the 90s. We were both watching this skit the night it came on and lost it.
Still one of my all-time faves. 🤣
This is hilarious. I watched it when it first aired. I just watched it again and it still has me in tears laughing. I remember these days on the subway lol
It's STILL like this....
You mean yesterday?
Anyone who rode the subway in NY In the 80's and the 90's knows this sound all too well
It STILL sounds like this today in 2024 lol
They show this tonight I never laughed so hard 😂😂😂😂
I saw this last night! They sound like Kenny from South Park.
I love the subway fold on the times.., and the R10 in ta paint inside the international brotherhood of transit workers shield.
Well Toronto’s subways are still like this nowadays
This is a true gem of comedy 👍🏼
30 years later and it hasn't changed at all
This has too few views/comments. I could not stop laughing when I first saw this.
Harvey Keitel almost loses it, LOL!
the most accurate and hilarious SNL skits ever
You could see him trying to hold his laugh at 0:47😂
One of my favorites.
That's exactly how it used to sound in the 80's and 90's In NY
Holy crap, I just realized all three of the transit workers were in Little Nicky 7 years later
They should’ve did a skit with the passengers asking the New York City transit workers stupid questions...... over and over and over again.
This shows how great actors like Keitel, Nealon, and Cleghorne didn’t need to read cue cards, they memorized all their lines.
Excellent !
I looked for this skit so hard a few years ago and couldnt find it anywhere. So damn funny!!
How in the hell I've never heard of this sketch? 😂😂😂😂😂
This is what my new smart watch makes me sound like 👍
Who's watching after this just aired again on NBC
Harvey Keitel hit it dead on
Here cuz of Bill Hader talking about how great this whole episode was on Dana and Spades podcast
One of the best SNL skits every. Too bad the show stopped being funny years ago.
I personally love the one where it’s Keitel and Nelon on a radio talking about NYC and they start giving out flyers saying “so you’ve been stabbed”
One of my fav episodes from 1991 with Joe Mantegna
And this is why we have automated announcements now.
No, it's not. Subway communications equipment was terrible, specifically the speakers in stations. That equipment has all been replaced and that is why announcements are clear and understandable.
This skit was prescribed and hand written by a doctor.
Thanks, Bernie Wagenblast, for providing the link.
In 2023 still the same😢
I work 31 years within the MTA system and there are times I don’t understand what they are announcing as well!! Lol!!
This was amazing.
This, “This Wal-Mart is So Big!” and “This is How I Talk” are some of my all-time top “SNL” sketches! Peace.
Harvey Keitel has to be one of the best actors of all time
Tim Meadows face.
0:47 the actor laughs :D
What I find particularly funny about this skit, is the “real unintelligibility” of many people who speak through an intercom. I know people whose ordinary speech is difficult to understand. On a megaphone or an intercom, their words are even more muffled and incoherent. 😆
My boyfriend and I were watching this sketch back when SNL was funny. Glad I found it!
Still funny. @me
This what America sounds like to me
Excellent!!
I love New York
ahhh so thats why i couldnt understand any announcement, its not the PA system
real New Yorkers know what they'll be saying lol
10년후인 2024년에도 달라진게 없어ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
i never imagined that michael p was a MTA employee
It's 2023 and they STILL talk like this lol
This can’t be good that I understood every word 🤦🏻♂️
You did?
Now I understand what the problem is....
Dead on accurate!
😂
Brilliant
This recreation of the Elon Musk/Donald Trump Twitter interview is spot on! 😂🎉
Big fail
Thufferin' 'thuccatash #Denturegate
🤣🤣🤣
Well, now we're certain of where Charlie Brown's parents came from.
😂😂😂
LOL XD
Only real New Yorkers understand this😂
When SNL was funny…
This was funny but is why Vines/shorts were invented, it would've been just as funny as a much shorter video
And then Kris Kattan stole this premise for his entire stay at SNL
Too silly
