Great review Chris, and can I say again how much I appreciate ypur audio and video quality, my old eyes and ears are eternally grateful. Beautiful tablet, and while I was a bit miffed by no charger in the box, the fact that it comes with SD card storage more than makes up for that deficit, if only Apple was so considerate to it's users. I can't say I'd ever buy/use a table this big, I've found anything for 11 inches is too unweildy, and even then I use a cover with a stand. Having said that, kudos to Samsung for kicking the iPad in the crotch with this beauty.
I pre-ordered mine, can't put it down, my first tablet and hasn't skipped a beat. Love it for media consumption and some editing. Love the pen, its a breeze to use and it picks up my chicken scratch handwriting. I got the smart book cover, so easy to use and fold away.
@norbertsusztek1316 I have no issue with facey or insta, you need to view them in portrait mode for that, insta is actually really good due to the bigger screen. The ultra is a beast at note taking and watching entertainment, you won't find other tab that is made for that. I would highly recommend you get the ultra, best tab I have ever bought, you won't regret it.
As far as Photoshop/Photo Editing goes, one of the GREATEST features of my Tab S8 Ultra that no one talks about is the 'Second Screen' feature. SuperDisplay a $10 app works really great. The Tab S8 Ultra has basically replaced my Wacom Cintiq as my main Photoshop editing device. It's higher resolution, wireless, lighter, portable, and the S-Pen might be even better... Samsung's built-in 'Second Screen' works OK, but it used to work much better than it does now, I don't know what happened, but hopefully they will update it to work as good as SuperDisplay does. Plus, your files stay resident on your workstation and you don't have to copy files back and forth. I find that SuperDisplay works exactly the same wired or over WiFi. If there's a difference, I don't see any. As you mentioned, it's SO much better than Samsung's Second Screen. It's pretty crazy to me that Samsung definitely knows how much of a superior product SuperDisplay is and they could easily license the technology (like they do Wacom's EMR) or even purchase the company without even batting an eye, instead they ship a vastly inferior piece of software... Plus, the device is awesome all on its own... Literally blown away by how great it is! The S-Pen is fantastic and FREE in the box. You don't need to add a paper-like screen protector ($40) in addition to the $130 you'll pay extra for the Apple Pencil... I'm a 30+ year Professional Graphic Artist. When some say that there aren't Professional Visual Arts apps on android it's just really incorrect, because I use them everyday. Autodesk Sketchbook, Infinite Painter, Concepts, Krita are just a few of the apps available on the Google Play store... There are many more... Are there a few apps available on iPad that aren't on the Play store? Yes, of course, but a good carpenter never blames his tools, and with expertise and talent you can do anything and everything on android apps that you can do on iOS apps - NO DOUBT. If you're already entrenched in the Apple 'eco-system'... Then pay the extra $500 to $1500... Unfortunately, Samsung's trade-in's aren't great this year... Two years ago I got the 8GB RAM/256GB SSD Tab S7 Plus in Mystic Navy it was $356 from Samsung with a Tab S4 Trade-In I got off ebay for $175, they gave me $400 trade-in credit, so my total cost from Samsung for the Tab S7 Plus was $531. I had zero intention of upgrading. Samsung then offered me more than I paid for the S7+ in trade, for a 16GB/512GB Ultra. They also gave me $200 credit towards accesories. It was kinda of a no-brainer, plus the 4-year OS updates and 5-years of security updates for $517.59. I absolutely love the Ultra, and have no intention of upgrading, especially since Samsung will only give me $650 for the trade-in of my Ultra and the total cost will be $750 for the 16GB/1TB version... Maybe next time, Sammy...
I own the s8 ultra since day 1, and now the s9u, i probably use it in portrait mode, maybe 0.0001% of the time. Seeing reviews holding it and using it in portrait is so weird. There are settings to "hide" the camera cutout. It's being oled screen, I have never been bothered by the cutout, unlike the macbookpro cutout or the stupid iPhone dynamic island.
Hey I don't have either but you having had both would you suggest I try to score an S8U for a good bit less on ebay or pony up and go for the S9U for several hundred more?
@@teddydavid2816if you care for the battery and processing, go with the S9U, which has the SD 8 gen 2 chip, compared to the 8 gen 1 chip in the S8U, which is known for higher battery consumption, tends to get warmer.
That's why the Lenovo 13 inch Yoga tablet is so awesome. It has a flip out foot so you don't have to hold it all the time. I got the 10 inch version too. The little fold out foot is stable but small enough to fit on a window sill. Plus it has a hole so you can hang it on the wall.
@@phookit2 do you take it to bed to watch your favourite shows? do you put it at the dining table to watch some UA-cam? do you take it to the airplane to pass time? that's not a tablet anymore if you can't do this stuff.
I picked up one of these on the last day for pre-order discounts and offers. They were still running the free keyboard case offer in the afternoon when I first tried to place the order, but it didn't go through because of an error. Of course the offer had then been pulled by the time I was able to get back later in the day to try again. Still, I've been fine enough so far using the Smart Book Cover as a stand, along with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse that I already had. Aside from that, I'm conscious of not wanting to go overboard when writing about it, but this is easily the best tablet I've ever used, and I think it'll effectively be a laptop replacement for me for a good few years.
I have an S7+ at the moment, but this is probably too big/expensive for me to upgrade to if/when this breaks. It would have to be the S9+ (because I wouldn't go smaller either!).
The Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is a very interesting tablet... It may be overkill for the average user who just wants to consume media and / or play games. But for Creatives and Content Creators, I think the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is a viable alternative to a laptop. Sure, there aren't as many pro applications as it is with the iPad, but there's quite a bit to be getting on with. There's the Canva platform, which is really great for all kinds of Content Creation. I don't know why Samsung hasn't created a portable stand as the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is a computer built into a monitor. I can envision using it with such a stand and Bluetooth keyboard & mouse. I'll have to look if Samsung has such a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I would have the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra for when I am doing heavy duty productivity such as video editing, and the Galaxy Tab S9 Plus for everyday multi use case scenarios, e.g. media consumption, music composition, smaller video editing tasks, and less demanding photo editing / compositions.
It should work with all Bluetooth keyboards and mice, no need to get a specific Samsung one. And I agree, for creatives the 14.6 is exactly almost exactly the size/proportions as a sheet of printer paper. I like the dex/5g combo, cause I have a couple huge Google docs that I'd want to have a web browser and yt open for research while I edit. And I'm already in the ecosystem, with the buds and ultra phone.
@@Pistolita221 Thanks for your response. I do realize that the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra works with all Bluetooth keyboards and mice. The NEW apple silicone chips m1 and m2 put it to shame, also support Dolby vision better than hdr 10 plus. It is attractive but rather an iPad because the chip

As weird as it might seem, I have seen a reason to use the cameras on a tablet outdoors. I was hanging with a real estate assessor a while ago, and the dude was wandering around a property with an iPad tablet, carefully framing his shots and inspecting them on the big screen for their quality and detail and sending the pics back to the real estate agents on the fly , when detail matters , it’s much easier to assess an image on a big tablet screen than on a pissy smartphone screen . And from what I saw , all the pics where keepers because the guy could frame up and get a very good image because he had that big screen and could get the nice images framed in one go. Maybe not for everyone , but in some circumstances you could see the tablet cameras being useful.
As a delivery driver, I had a tablet that I used to take pictures "8" inch size- it took very good pictures and was much more detailed than the phone camera.
Sir, I am very curious about the device's used wallpapers which you showed in every review. Please will you tell me about the website .. every wallpaper looks super High Quality....
I went to order the Galaxy Tab s9 with all the promotions and deals. Cheaper than Amazon with more ram. When I went to buy it, it said out of stock and there was no way to pre-order it. Only a link to get notified when in stock. The time limit is over and I missed out. This is ridiculous on Samsung's part. At least they could have let you ordered it and wait.
To answer the question Tech UA-camrs always fall into regarding the cameras... Not everyone wants to be married to their phones. If you're working with the Tab S9 Ultra let's say, it's good to be able to snap pics of a document or grab something while you're on a call real quick rather than using two screens. In my case, I use a very old, simple phone and at least for now, haven't been able to afford an expensive camera phone. I'm also debating if I should even bother with such period since I do everything mobile wise on my tablet anyway.
I would have appreciated if you showed us how apps look like on this big screen. As we all know, biggest issue of Android tablets are apps not being optimized. I truly wonder how Twitter, Instagram, Netflix..etc look like
@@insolus2307 I had an S8 and sold it last year. For Twitter, unless they update it recently otherwise the experience was terrible. The tweets and images were expanded to fit the screen in ugly way.
As much as I love massive tablets, I don't see the point. - As a laptop, they are not ideal. - As a tablet, they are clunky. - As a secondary monitor, they are heavy and small (you can get a 1.2 lb 16" portable monitor) Pro tip: Hook up your Galaxy S phone to a portable USB-C touchscreen monitor and you a cheaper high-end Android tablet. When you include the keyboard cover, this tablet weighs the same as a 16" LG Gram. Which is better for productivity?
Is anyone actually using long term these monster-sized tablets? I've got the 15 inch Surface Book since launch and while it's super-light as tablet only, I have used it probably upto 10 times over the years. And that's not because of it running Windows as I use rather often the Surface PRO as tablet only. So is there any use? Won't it just crack of thrown in a backpack just like any other tablet? Isn't a foldable phone a more all-round compromise? Genuine questions to those who own one of these monster slabs.
Opinion I’m deep in the apple ecosystem with all movies bought on my Apple TV, but do fancy this new tablet for screen. Just a consumption device the usually suspect and will be upgrading from my gen 1 iPad Pro 2015. Samsung offers a good deal inc keyboard and 130 for my very old iPad. But who does iOS vs Android compare these days.
What I wanted to know Display check Battery check Most important Can we use it to edit videos … compare video editing in this whopper compare to iPad 12 pro Coz if I can’t edit videos on this then what are we to do with a expensive cumbersome led panels

about 2.2🙃😉 inches
Had to drop a like just for the tasteful thumbnail!
How are speakers compared to the giant lenovo tablet?
What gear and camera do you use to make videos? Looks great.
Great review 👍
The S9 Ultra is definitely a powerhouse BUT i'd have expected a much higher level of its display brightness!
Even on my Galaxy Tab S7+ the maximum brightness seems to be higher!
Are there any tools to test the display quality & brightness on tablets?
Thx from Munich 😉
Bruh u need to make a wallpaper folder 😢😢
Fantastic video 😎👍
Pre ordered mine. Still waiting for it to arrive. I think this is a huge upgrade from my old 9.7 inch iPad pro.
Definitely mate, minutes coming in a few days humm yeaahhj
The NEW apple silicone chips m1 and m2 put it to shame, also support Dolby vision better than hdr 10 plus. It is attractive but rather an iPad because the chip
@RinzSach who cares for those chips that's put on a mediocre ipad and couldn't use its full potential 😂
@@johnsecret1318 You’d be surprised, genshin impact has about a 20 fps advantage on the m1 and about 30-35 on the m2. Snapdragon 8 gen 2 gets 55-60 m1 gets 78 m2 gets 90! Final Cut Pro Logic Pro would take advantage of it.
@@RinzSachThe argument of faster Chip is no more enough to buy a apple product because other products are good enough.
Please will you tell me about the website
.. every wallpaper looks super High Quality....
i actually ordered mine on Samsung with a free keyboard included lol
I went to order the Galaxy Tab s9 with all the promotions and deals. Cheaper than Amazon with more ram. When I went to buy it, it said out of stock and there was no way to pre-order it. Only a link to get notified when in stock. The time limit is over and I missed out. This is ridiculous on Samsung's part. At least they could have let you ordered it and wait.
Recommend for graphic designer?
And I now have the latest update. 6.1.1. on Android 14.. but, hmmm. Not on my S24 ultra yet?
I was looking at the wallpaper 😂😂😂
I got a S7 plus. Is it worth the upgrade?
Seriously though, where do u get your wallpapers from? I need all of them, and i need them now
To answer the question Tech UA-camrs always fall into regarding the cameras...
Yes but is it controller 🎮mountable? Gaming (by streaming) is a dream on the Samsung fold 4 🖥️🎮I bet on this it's awesome too!!
if price is not a factor, which one is best ? Tab S9 Ultra ? Or Lenovo Tab Extreme ?
I would have appreciated if you showed us how apps look like on this big screen. As we all know, biggest issue of Android tablets are apps not being optimized. I truly wonder how Twitter, Instagram, Netflix..etc look like
I recommend using a PWA, as the display is too large for a blown-up or stretched Android app.
all the above mentioned apps are optimized for the tablet, in fact these apps are usually optimized for android tablets and not ipads.
@@insolus2307 I had an S8 and sold it last year. For Twitter, unless they update it recently otherwise the experience was terrible. The tweets and images were expanded to fit the screen in ugly way.
Is the thickness of the tablet comfortable for long time hold or like the galaxy s22,23 they dig in to your hands?
I love your videos💗
Great review. Nobody cares about outward facing cameras on a tablet. They should focus on a better face-facing camera.
So for people like me who like to work with wired earphones on phones and tablets, can this tablet do that?
with a usb to aux port adapter, yes it can
What's the difference between the S9+ vs the ultra
So. How many Apps at the same time?
Прикольні відео , переглядаю кожен день , це як бальзам для душі😃
As much as I love massive tablets, I don't see the point.
- As a laptop, they are not ideal.
- As a tablet, they are clunky.
- As a secondary monitor, they are heavy and small (you can get a 1.2 lb 16" portable monitor)
Pro tip: Hook up your Galaxy S phone to a portable USB-C touchscreen monitor and you a cheaper high-end Android tablet.
When you include the keyboard cover, this tablet weighs the same as a 16" LG Gram. Which is better for productivity?
I've just ordered the Plus. The Ultra is just a little excessive for what I want/need a tablet for.
It's a great tablet. It doesn't even excite me now. We're so spoiled...
I have a case also which helps to protect the S pen. Otherwise it can get lost. Hmmm
I'm still using the tab s7. Is it worth upgrading to this model?
Is anyone actually using long term these monster-sized tablets? I've got the 15 inch Surface Book since launch and while it's super-light as tablet only, I have used it probably upto 10 times over the years. And that's not because of it running Windows as I use rather often the Surface PRO as tablet only. So is there any use? Won't it just crack of thrown in a backpack just like any other tablet? Isn't a foldable phone a more all-round compromise? Genuine questions to those who own one of these monster slabs.
Watching this from my iPad. Love it!
The rounded edges of the OnePlus Pad are way more comfortable to hold than the flat edges like here and iPads
i am planning to buy a tab. is it a good idea to buy samsung S7/S8 now?
Opinion I’m deep in the apple ecosystem with all movies bought on my Apple TV, but do fancy this new tablet for screen. Just a consumption device the usually suspect and will be upgrading from my gen 1 iPad Pro 2015. Samsung offers a good deal inc keyboard and 130 for my very old iPad. But who does iOS vs Android compare these days.
What I wanted to know
Display check
Battery check
Most important
Can we use it to edit videos … compare video editing in this whopper compare to iPad 12 pro
Coz if I can’t edit videos on this then what are we to do with a expensive cumbersome led panels
Can you do review of Alldocube iplay 50 mini pro when the product came out? I want to compare the miniature tab to this 😂
How did you get that coloured anime books?
that small island that extends into the screen bothers me a lot
Shenanigans, beltin', slap it on, shenanigans, slap it on, shenanigans
