Lovely house and lovely ideas. I bought (as new) white linen sheets for curtains in a second hand shop around 25 years ago. Linen is so strong.These curtains still are beautiful. Easy to wash! I also made curtains out of huge colorful cashmere scarfs for some smaller windows. I used cotton satin sheets as curtains for my bedroom.
I prefer the smell of real bee wax. You can buy it in natural honey color, in white and even in natural black (from Australia) . No additional scent needed. But when you wish you can add fragrances. We always dip our candles. It is such fun making them! Children love it as well! The smell in Christmas time of the real bee wax...mmmmmmm
Love her other upcycling show too- my whole house is "found" basically so it speaks my language. You did fall into an Agatha Christie novel - Evil Under the Sun ( Suchet's )

Christmas, not knowing what to purchase their friends people seem to always buy expensive crystal decanters, our (USA) charity shops are filled with them. I purchase decanters for mouthwash, astringent, ect. and leave them out for everyone to see. Of course I did have one friend ask me if I did all my drinking in the bathroom? LOL I don’t drink.
Haha I would end up having a swig of carpet cleaner
What an absolutely lovely presentation & the hostess Kristie is awesome! She comes across as such an approachable, kind, & sincere person! Now, I’m going to look for & watch all her other shows!!
She's has done so many now, "Love it or List It", Location Location" Kirsty and Phil are a bit of a duo, then she does a Homemade Christmas, Crafts series which comes out before Christmas and I always feel that it isn't Christmas until this comes on. Just love her stuff and love the ones she does with Phil, he's a bit like her older annoying brother, lol.
Watching the sheer delight on Kirstie's face as she accomplishes her own stained glass and other crafts, is really lovely to see, and always puts a smile on my face.
It's also wonderful to go along on the bargain shopping and the inspirational sightseeing tours!
Interesting note, my pioneer family members used wallpaper many years ago to keep out the drafts in their old farmhouse. They applied newspaper and glue!
Your finished spaces are fabulous with lots of interesting and unique touches. My favourites are the lounge chair and furry mat in the main bath.

Every time I watch a show about the decor in th UK, I am struck ab9uthpw different the homes, colors and decor is different between the UK and the US. I study the design and decor in the US nad we are all about white walls and neutral overall design. Kristie you have the most BEAUTIFUL coats but could I make a suggestion for choosing solid colored dresses?
I love your leaded artwork ('lite' ?). Simply beautiful! and So much fun to make it seems. Now I want to try this my self! I wonder, is Kirstie a sister of Sophie Allsopp (Unsellables) ? A part from a physical resemblance, they have a very similar Energy.
What great fun the candle making was. As a Kid my aunt made Candles with 'us' in a 'toiletpaperroll' ; ))

Love that Art Deco bath but Art Deco doesn't equal decadence and clutter. The bath needs to be show cased by having only things in the bathroom that are necessary

Kirstie I love this wallpaper for th bathroom, I wanted to do the same and the different Gus who came to give me quotes said " oh no wall paper in a bathroom" ;;do you have the quality /name of wallpaper for bathroom please?
Does anyone else wonder what her ring is? It's massive.
I’ve noticed she and her sister wear massive rings. Not sure if it’s real precious stone jewelry or well made costume jewelry. But stone in this series look like blue topaz… in previous series huge ruby (I believe it was just red glass)
Kristie, why don’t you know about painting the pink - cheaper - bathtub? Surely, if the pink tub is cheap enough, you could hire someone to spray it, which would be a nicer finish than I could do and a decent savings! Maybe they don’t paint tubs in Britain. I have a friend who painted the outside of his claw foot tub a striking medium blue, suitable to his ascetic and completely unique.
Great show, but the amount of ads makes it impossible to watch 😐 I had to skip ads 4 times in 10 minutes.
Don't tell anyone, but if you fast forward to the end, then click replay...hey presto! No ads!
Yes the ads can be a bit of a pain but by watching , I get to also watch these programs( but won't endure ads longer than 15-s)
I've not been able to get to her web sites.
I enjoy watching these programmes but there is nowhere near me where I could make candles, stained glass etc. No second hand shops that sell the sort of items Kirstie seems to get.
It’s not her fault you live in an area where none of this is available. You can either travel further out or watch UA-cam tutorials and start doing things slowly at your own pace.
Love the programme, but cleaning the shelves on the main bathroom a nightmare. Hope Kirsty has a domestic

Well, at least she admitted that her "luxury" bathroom is crazy ("a little bit barmy"). It must be a nightmare to clean all those cluttered shelves. The high humidity of a bathroom means that every surface grabs dust and turns that dust gummy. And in the downstairs bath, she didn't line up the wallpaper - why? It looks terrible.
I’ve had an impression she’s just house flipper. Just like her parents. This house she’s decorating is rather for selling, not for her personal living. As far as I know, she lives in Notting hill, London

Purchased an art deco bath tub but the bathroom is NOT art deco Kirstie! As usual its too fussy
I agree with you. I love Art Deco and the bath Kirstie bought is beautiful so its a shame that Kirstie had to surround it with clutter - I pity whoever does her cleaning for her as its for sure it isn't her

Stained glass only occurred in two places churches, medieval Windows and Victorian doors which used naturalist symmetric forms. Using stained glass windows in modern home looks so rinks dink and typical of new rich who have prententions. So middle of the road.
Kirstie's ideas for interior design are 180 degrees opposite from her sister's!
Perhaps you mean her cousin? Designer and businesswoman Cath Kidston is her cousin.
She must know her kids but, in general, I would not choose to make the kids' bathroom a shower room
Kirstie is great in entertaining. However as I can see she’s not DIY-ing anything by herself. She’s rather hiring artisans. And giving advices on second hand purchases.

You have to wear gloves when cutting stained glass..
Glass bottles in a bathroom probably is not a great idea.........
I love using Old Glass Bottles and Jars in my bathroom ...much better than ugly plastic in my opinion

So bothered by the overuse of the Same Song on multiple programs. You play these same songs on Escape to the Country. Come on! You can do better than this. And I am not talking to Kirsti here, I’m talking to the television channel
i love candles but kids and candles dont mix like Kristie the kids want to touch the hot wax
