    I have had my Misano blue Alfa Romeo giulia since 2019 and outside of the normal maintenance and service the only problem that I have had is a faulty resevoir hose that cost me $70 bucks and took 10 minutes to install. I can honestly attest that these cars are very very reliable and I will not only be keeping my Giulia but I can't wait to get my hands on the new one❤

    I have a 2022 Giulia Veloce with the same infotainment and it is completely liveable. I sorta set it and forget it. I am more focused on driving.

    I've owned my Quadrifoglio Race Edition 2 (no.8 of 20) for a year now and have had no problems at all. It's a dream to own and drive and pinch myself everytime I look into the garage

    I’ve had my 2018 Guilia Quad for years now and I absolutely love it. I have over 50k miles on it and drive it primarily for long trip (4hr or more) and I simply would not want to drive any other car. It has all the simple comforts I need and Apple CarPlay does make up for the infotainment. I’ve once driven my car 24hr to Detroit and back. It was simply exquisite. Great gas mileage on long highway runs and absolutely phenomenal on the “detours”. Going forward I’m sad to see such an icon leave but the good times must always come to an end to truly appreciate them. PS: I will be buying an ass ton of regular maintenance items to keep her running for years to come and hopefully decades. My goal is to have the highest mileage QV possible 😎.

    Great review. And feel your pain on the front plate, I’m in Ontario. 2024 QV Carbonio Edition in Rosso Etna (GTA).
    I’ve got about 2500 km on it thus far and zero issues. It’s very early of course but similar to you no overheating issues despite driving in Race Mode for extended periods of time in 30 C+ weather.
    Agree on the infotainment system, but I find rarely interact with it while driving anyways. I think PS4s would be a better stock tire than the Pirellis. The back comes out very easily when it’s under 20 C, when the sun goes down, or if it’s wet. Personally I only feel confident using Race Mode when it’s warm sunny and dry. That’s fine, but Race is the only way to access the full power of the engine immediately so it would be nice to be able to do that with some nannies in place.
    I’m unsure if Alfa is going to reconsider their plans around EVs and hybrid. I suspect whatever happens with the new M5 might influence that. The C63 has been a disaster so hopefully Alfa is paying attention.
    That said, if we get a new pure ICE Giulia QV, it would likely be with a Hurricane High Output engine, which wouldn’t be the same as the current 2.9L V6 in terms of emotion and feel. I plan on keeping this car forever.

    • @nessuno5403
      @nessuno5403 Місяць тому

      What the M5 does, was and is irrelevant, since it is a larger car and Alfa Romeo has been working on EV and Hybrid versions already. They will launch with the new generation.

    • @AP-cc1uw
      @AP-cc1uw Місяць тому

      @@nessuno5403 it’s not irrelevant at all. If it doesn’t sell, Alfa might emphasize its ICE options. It’s already unclear that they are truly going over to just EV and hybrid. They’ve seen demand slump for enthusiast cars that have taken this route. The new Giulia will be built on the STLA large platform and Dodge will have ICE only variants of the Charger. So it’s clearly possible for the Giulia to go in the same direction with the Hurricane engines.

    • @nessuno5403
      @nessuno5403 Місяць тому

      @@AP-cc1uw again, the M5 is irrelevant. Alfa Romeo is planning a saloon that large, which won't be the Giulia. The new Giulia product planning is locked in: it's coming as an hybrid and EV. Only parrots like you believe car companies leave things to the last minute. Even the Cassino plant was already modified from last year.

    • @AP-cc1uw
      @AP-cc1uw Місяць тому

      @@nessuno5403 I don’t believe these are last second decisions. The STLA large platform can support ICE only. The Giulia will be based on a shortened STLA large platform, which is itself very closely related to the Digeorgio platform.

    2017-18 owner. Flawless car. Never an issue except the torque vectoring diff sometimes getting in hot in certain « conditions » lol. But the mechanical diff sorts all that out. Either way a dream to own as long as you keep it over 3k rpm. Have a feeling this car will cause you issues if you don’t push it

    This Giulia is still available outside of North America until the new generation arrives in 2026. A new infotainment required costly crash testing and homologation so they gave up. Via the knob it's fast. Rear seat heating was available once. Unless you option the Sparco carbon seats, this has an inferior grade leather from the 4 cylinder range. Also missing is the carbon roof here, which is available in exposed carbon as an option.

    I take my Giulia QV on 500 to 1000 mile road trips a lot. It loves highway miles as much as it likes to be rev’d out and as much as it loves twisty roads 💯 I love driving it and I just went over 95k miles 💪🏼

    Infosystem absolute not important in this car. Its all about the driving. Nothing more. Trunk legroom info system...forget it. The seating position. The wheel. It's all about that.

    Thanks for the review.
    I have just bought a MY21 in Verde Montreal (green) 16,500kms. Absolutely love driving it. Having come from a MY19 Audi S5 I do miss on board tech (reverse camera & virtual location, park assist, etc.) and lower idle speed. Giulia feels reluctant to bring to a smooth stop at the lights. However it’s an absolute hoot to drive!!!
    Fortunately the previous owner had already installed Michelin PS4’s.
    Feels like a real sense of occasion just driving up to the local shops 😊🏎️👍

    • @MGReviewsBlog

      For the amount of power this car produces, the fuel economy is really not bad at all. The M3 (RWD) gets worse fuel economy than this.
