Levellers are more than a band, they're an institution, a major part of so many people's lives. There is a gritty realism in their work BUT in a hugely positive, life affirming way. The latest studio album Peace is quite simply OUTSTANDING, I believe it's their finest album while the previous two Static On The Airwaves and Letters From The Underground are also right up there amongst their finest albums. I hope they continue for many years.
I still remember when I first heard them. It was the time of Grunge and I listened to Nirvana and Soundgarden. Everybody tried to copy those bands and suddenly the Levellers burst into the scene. They completely took me by surprise and something just resonated with me. And here we are today, 30 years later. And they are still amazing. Sure, they all have aged but they didn't get old. They are as powerful as ever. One of the few bands I never got tired of. Timeless classics.
I've loved them since I was 19 & i'm now almost 52. I'm not well at the moment & watching this video has really cheered me up, especially Jez feeding the hedgehogs. Thank you boys ✌
i loved them when i was 3 years old and my dad always played them on the radio and at home, im 28 now and my dad is nearly 60, i gave him a fathersday gift last year to see them live (he has never seen them live) and we did in 2022 it was amazing. Im not someone that "fan girls" but jeez these guys have a special place in my heart.
Aw, I’ve only just discovered this channel. I used to listen to the levellers when I was 19 & now I’m 51 & can’t stop listening to the songs from all those years ago. They bring me good memories & make me feel all nostalgic. I love the levellers…you are a brilliant band & your lyrics are fantastic.🙏❤️🌹.

Thank you guys, for being one of the few bands that didn't sell out, and remained true to yourselves. Thankfully people are finally starting to wake up to how we have been lied to and manipulated all this time. Clarity is on the horizon. Nothing can stop what is coming. All the best. xxx
Words can't express just how much I appreciate you uploading this. And such perfect timing for me. This may come across as cheesy - but I don't care because it's the truth - you guys have helped pull me out of serious states of depression more than any other band over the years. Since the early 90's, you've been one of very few positive contents in my life. And for that I'll be forever thankful. And I'll be buying the cd/dvd set when I can (my crappy old laptop wont let me play disks anymore, but I'll buy the set anyway & find a way to play it)
Been listening to the Levellers since the early 90s and they just keep getting better. What an amazing view of them creating their unique sounds. Great stuff gents. Cheers from the Arizona desert. 🌵
Peace is in my opinion THE best album the band have ever done but that's not to say the other albums aren't good because they are all quality pieces of work.... saw Mark live last week and he was superb as always
Classic Love to see the Guys like soon Live as well Throwing out classics like Belaruse as well ... OMG They are So under rated I grew up with them I am now 42 And well We all should go back to the days Of free Festivals And that n kick ass From 1994 Onwards With THE CJA Law It killed Culture But Those were the days
The fiddle sounds great! Gets better every time I see you play, love the new songs, the vocals are as powerful as ever and really sharp lyrics, stay political boys 😭 this country needs bands like you just now, the enemy's powerful at the moment you guys get the message across so well ❤️
They should practice what they preach. They are asking for vaccine passes to get into there concerts this year. You know anyone with half a brain would agree that is very wrong and against human rights. But hey revellers are all about freedom.aren't they lol. 💰💰💰💰
Thank you for this makes life worthwhile things like this, and let’s face it not much nowadays that can make you feel happy even like myself out of my mental health issues for a while!music is the best medication!amazing work thank you so much!ian &Suki the Hawkdog
I can't believe last time I saw the band live on stage in France was 10 YEARS AGO !!!! pffff... i miss your gig guys really :( like your music since your first album and not seeing you Live is aweful...
Great stuff not caught you live for many a year, remember you playing storming gig in my hometown of Abertifi back in the day, nice to hear the political edge still coming through strong. Bless and cheers.
Do you guys ever do covers of other folk's tunes? For some reason I think a version of "Wish you were here" by Floyd would be amazing Keep it up lads :)
Ever since I became a fan during the early 90's, I've thought it would be interesting to hear them cover "Norwegian Wood" and "Hide your Love Away" by The Beatles. Those songs would be brilliant with mark's vocals, Simon on Mandolin (whilst doing vocal harmonies with Matt), and Jon's fiddle giving the finishing Levellers touch.
Folks ! Chill :) It was not the point to make trolling. What I meant by my original comment was in the style of the Levellers folk sound. And yes I know there are bands doing this sort of thing, but that was not the point I was trying to make...
Jeremy mate. I used to smoke and jam music at Portland Road Villa's squat. Why wern't you guys shouting from the roof tops about the injustice over the last 3 years. People have been injured and died. You had a massive platform to speak the truth. But you didn't. Your band is now as pantomime as the Rebellion Festival

One of the greatest bands ever, live and studio, down to earth blokes.
Oh the memories... the smoke filled bothy ... the weekends on the wild west coast of Scotland chilling to this great band..

I love this comment. I think we must be the same age, I got into them when I was around 19 too, and I'm also 52!! 😂

Sounding better then ever at the moment. Hope they carry on touring and releasing new material for years to come. The world needs this band right now.
Watching this and the sad thing is it hits home that we might not see Simon in the lineup again. 😢

Next you'll be asking for Kylie Minogue covers 🙄
Wtf are you serious??
There's enough bands doing that, actually love that they keep doing their own thing!
Ever since I became a fan during the early 90's, I've thought it would be interesting to hear them cover "Norwegian Wood" and "Hide your Love Away" by The Beatles. The irony of an "anti establishment" band being locked down😂
