So now they take responsibility for their actions, it's a heartwarming story, but at the same time, when they don't take responsibility for their actions, it is because of "systemic racism". Pick a lane already.
it's a bit more complex than that. i think, that when systemic racism is talked about, it's not giving the whole story, it's only one half of the story. systemic racism isnt just about the ones who have been victimized by racism, there's a missing story of the ones who have been the perpetrators. it affects everyone. this story of systemic racism most likely goes back hundreds of years. And that's something that is out of our control, those things already happened, and has shaped our society to what it is today. Should someone be using systemic racism as an explanation or excuse or their actions or behaviours, no i dont think so. But it leads me to think of this. that we cannot control the actions or emotions of others, but what we can control is ourselves (our actions and emotions and thoughts, etc.). And ultimately, what these guys have chosen to do--in their past--was not a good choice. But, they also chose to leave that lifestyle, they chose to be for something, for life, and not against life or against hate or agasnt the system or whatever it may be, they chose to do things for life.
@Biipiikiiwisens "systemic racism" is a racist idea in itself, birthed from Marxist ideologues, to spark division amongst the general populace, so the entities in power can remain in control of the same policies they claim is "systemic racism" in the first place. When it comes to gangs, specifically native gangs, they never tell the racist ideas of why they are formed and exist in the first place. Something I have first-hand experience dealing with myself from a past life. I'm glad these people are coming out of said lifestyle and warning others of the consequences of it, but they are taking responsibility for their actions, which defeats the idea that their actions were a product of "systemic racism." This I applaud. My comment was directed at the media, not the people specifically in said video, rather than the idea being portrayed in said video and other videos combined that are produced by this specific media outlet. I applaud your attempt at a peaceful dialogue, but I have to draw the line at believing Marxist ideology that is built on lies to be a matter of fact when it comes to portraying reality properly and accurately. Everything else you said, I agree with. You are right, it is more complex than just a few lines that I can type in a restrictive dialogue box with limited characters to portray the entire story properly, let alone bypass the censorship that also restricts even deeper, and better proper dialogue between online parties interested in resolution of our many differences.
Think about the message he delivered: I can join the gang and then quit when I think the path doesn’t fit me…….and still I can give speech to those young kids. 😂😂😂😂
Excellent idea, I support this 100% to help our young today.
Valuable influence that can save a life.
