The girls keep a showcase place. It's a good thing you listen to them because I don't see the doghouse. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ella and Eva. You girls are awesome with the video cameras.
Awesome video - your girls did a great job! Very cool to show us 20 years ago and the “first tree”. The lawn and landscaping is very nicely manicured. Love it!
Thanks so much Heath! I'm glad someone likes the old footage thrown in there once in awhile. Always wondered what I could do with all that stuff and now I'm finding my outlets on here once in awhile. Appreciate you watching till the end!
Cinematic excellence! The camera crew captured some awesome shots. Their commentary and outro gave it a family feel you couldn’t capture if you tried. Neil, those girls are becoming young ladies. Growing up right before your eyes. Kara and you have to be bursting with pride. Keep engaging them… they’ll thank you some day. And, the memories you have will comfort you when they spread their wings and leave the nest! No doubt, I’ll see you in the next one!
Thank you so much my friend. To say we're proud of them is an understatement! I'm grateful to be their Dad and just hope we can equip them with the right tools to take on life on their own someday, I just hope they stick around as long as they can! Thanks so much for the kind words and support. They really enjoyed reading the comments today on their iPads. Have a great week!
Great fun for them and an excellent job they did! Love your channel, Neil! Just the right balance of things going on and a little family touch! Thanks for sharing your life with us! Happy Birthday to your young ladies!
I couldn't be prouder of you right now son! You discovered the two greatest rewards of adulthood. You will never do better than Amish mulch and children are essentially, guilt free labor. Now Kara mentioned a "pond" but what she was really insinuating was "fireplace." Couldn't help but notice you lifted with your back and not your legs on the "first tree." Happy cake day to the minions, Ella and Eva. Just wait till the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG) shows up on the girls behalf and wants to negotiate a contract dad! Love home and hug the girls for me.
You couldn't be more on point by putting "Amish" and "children are guilt free labor" in the same sentence! lol :) The Amish are masters of family projects, and they've got the high quality hardwood mulch to prove it. Kara says she'll forgo the fireplace indoors if we put a big fancy stone fireplace thingy next to the pond. I counter offered by suggesting we change from a burn barrel to an old truck tire fire ring and we could call it a day. I'm not sure she'll bite though. Now, to keep these girls on the clock and not aspire to achieve anything more than just shooting videos for dear 'ole Dad...
I love that you got the twins involved. "Overflow a few bathtubs" That had me rolling! I still love the drone shots best, though. The edging and mulching looks great girls 🥰🥰 HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLA AND EVA!!! 🎂🍨🥳🥳🎉🎉🎊🎊 Great Video, Neil! The twins did a fantastic job filming and editing. See y'all next time 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Heya Neil! Love watching your videos, your life and you family and you community is so different yet so much the same as mine out in California. I have nowhere near the heating needs you do though :) Last night, I watched Superman - the Henry Cavill version, which I love and after watching it again for the 50th time, but not since seeing your channel, I realized one of the reason why I like watching your stuff is because you are so much like Kevin Costner's version of Superman's father in this movie. Straight forward, kind, intelligent. Thanks man. I appreciate you.
So very nice of you to say Steve. I've heard that I sound like Kevin Costner numerous times but never heard the comparison to his role in that movie. I'll have to check it out! Really appreciate you watching the videos!
Oh wow that looks amazing!!!🤯🤯🤯 Great stone work and placement. Just enough mulch? Good too the last drop. 😂 Girls did a great job on video. Happy birthday. God bless. Wow UA-cam is that old?😂
This is the first time ever that we've bought just enough mulch. Not seen here is the extra bit we put around 3 pine trees to use up a wee bit of left over! I knew that I would put all that old footage to use some day. Never guessed it would be for UA-cam however! Thanks for watching!
My dad had a yard like that when me and my younger brother were in school. When I moved out so did the flower beds and the garden because my brother couldn't do it alone.
Great video Neil, I was wondering why you would use a trailer to get mulch when you own 2 dump trucks but then hooking it to the tractor cleared it all up for me lol
I've used the dump before when I'm able to dump on my concrete slab. Truth be told this is more efficient though. We used to mulch around every tree in the yard! Thanks Doug!
Bleach water solution works great for the outdoor rocks anything painted etc cleans and keeps the mold/algae down. Poooond tiiime but its almost fall.... lol.
Now we are ready for the bushes. Huh? Legit laughed out loud!! So you bought a big dump truck for a mysterious future project. In this video, a pond is mentioned. Wonder if those are connected in any way. Guess I'll just have to continue to tune in to find out!
Here's someone that is paying attention 😂 I wondered if anyone would hear Kara say that at the end...I thought it was funny. That pond talk is probably just coincidence ☺️
When I was little I remember getting rides around the yard on a Cub Cadet 147. Got that tractor still today. Had to do a rebore to the engine. My mother friend husband used it at there river house. It's amazing that tractor went under water more then once if I remember. It got cleaned very good and flushed out and always started back up. Can't do that with something today. I remember when I was younger seeing a 140 H3 with a Johnson loader, mower deck and read weight box, and I think tire chains. I asked my Uncle for a loan but I was denied. Do this day still no John Deere. But Cub Cadets, Wheel Horse, and a couple of Simplicity Yeoman and Broadmoor
You should dig those girls a pond or a pool for the birthday gift that could be your next video and if you do a pool you can do like we have and heat it with your outside wood burner...just saying
4:52 :D "we do not have a pond" - NOT YET THAT TIME :D "backj to the future" :D but now you got :D dreams come true ! another documentary master piece. Watching your videos I did yesterday founds for my tool shed :D Documenting on my instagram :) Greetings from Poland !
I'm uneducated about why you put down the fresh mulch. Was it just for looks? I mean, I guess it's nutrient-rich and is good for the shrubs, too. But, I mean, is that all? It looks great, by the way 😁
I found your channel a little while ago and have been trying to catch up. I've been so impressed with how much pride you take on the appearance of your home and landscaping. My extended family are all farmers and live in rural Nebraska and they are the exact same way. Well done, sir. You and your family have been a great watch...
It is amazing to watch the entire family have buy in and ownership with they way the landscaping is done! Another great video I have watched on your channel!
OMG, that was so cute! "And it's all going to be recorded by my two daughters...": (sorry, I couldn't make out their names, but they sure look like two awesome girls.). And then the cat came rushing in, attacking and hissing at the other one.... completely opposite of how the girls behaved when they both voted to be the one handling the microphone. Like well raised kids, they handled that "tie vote" between themselves diplomatically... with no whining or complaining at the result (unlike that brat cat, lol) I saw what you did there Neil and I laughed pretty hard at it. You're doing a heck of a great job dad. I was a great dad too, but now I'm closer to your dad's age and still blessed with awesome health. Lotsa love from western Canada. 👊
👍👌👏 2) Now all you need is a good quality wood chipper to make your own wood chips and mulch. 😁 ;-) Best regards luck and health to all involved people.
Those girls did a fantastic job helping, and filming. and they look better than you, also. Your lovely wife is included with the girls, of course. TEE-HEE.
I need some of the DIY ( or in my case DBM - do by myself!) power and the cute video creators (good job, girls!) to work on my landscaping. Just watching all the work involved made me tired. ;-)
Wow!!!!! Love the black mulch!! I will be using that instead of the red!!! Looks real nice, and awesome job from the birthday girls!!! They did great! Have a good day Neil & Family!!!! Hello from Wisco
Hands down thee BEST VIDEO YET!!!!! Girl's killed it! Mulch looks fantastic!!
Wow! Thanks a million FC!
The girls keep a showcase place. It's a good thing you listen to them because I don't see the doghouse.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ella and Eva. You girls are awesome with the video cameras.
You know that you made the big time when you have a film crew. Happy birthday to them.
Now if I could just keep them coming back to work for every video!!! 😁
It is the greatest when a family works together on a project and relaxes together when all the work is done.
So nice to see a family work together. Not as common as it should be.
Thanks Tim.
Awesome video - your girls did a great job! Very cool to show us 20 years ago and the “first tree”. The lawn and landscaping is very nicely manicured. Love it!

Happy Birthday Ella and Eva!!! Good job spreading mulch and videoing! That looks nice!
Wonderful video as always Koch family! Happy Birthday Ella and Eva! 😁👨🚒

Love the throwback. You guys have put so much work in!
Perfection, and such a wonderful film crew. I'm looking forward to the blooper reel 🤣
Y'all have a beautiful home and it has great curb appeal. The girls did a great job too. Nice job by all.
Girls nailed it again. Great family.
Great family. You’re definitely blessed. Happy Birthday Girls!
Great to see the whole family working together! You should be proud!
Thanks Rick. We certainly are proud of them.
🎂 Happy Birthday Girls 🥳 Another Koch Fam. Project a success. Keep up the good work, your farm / home / yard is 2 thumbs up beautiful...👍👍
Great job and Happy Birthday to the girls.
Awesome video and some quality time with the family also. Thanks for sharing.
I love that you got the twins involved. "Overflow a few bathtubs" That had me rolling!

The edging and mulching looks great girls 🥰🥰 HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLA AND EVA!!! 🎂🍨🥳🥳🎉🎉🎊🎊
Great Video, Neil! The twins did a fantastic job filming and editing.
See y'all next time 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks so much Susan! They are pumped about the body this week:)
Great job girl’s!! Neil I think you could learn a thing or two from them. 😂😂 And the mulched beds look great! Every body did a great job!!
Thanks so much Matt!
Well done, happy birthday ladies. Nice family project. Looks good
Wow great Video you have 2 great camera people on your hands so cool when the kids get involved in what ever your doing
Awesome video and beautiful job on mulch.
Your girls did a great job.
Great video Neil
Thanks 👍
Beautiful, good job girls

Nice job. You keep your property very very nice.😁
It looks great. You had some good help!
nice job girls.Happy Birthday.it looks great
Looks very nice 👍 and happy birthday to the twins

Great job Neil and family, loved the video!
Appreciate it Chris.
Good job ladies!
Thanks Tony!!
HBD girls! 🥳🎉
Happy birthday Eva and Ella! Love the video, and that semi-circle wall around the little tree is genius and adds extra pop to the landscape.
Thanks Mason! That's my wife's idea :)
Great video Neil, I was wondering why you would use a trailer to get mulch when you own 2 dump trucks but then hooking it to the tractor cleared it all up for me lol

Great job girls!
Thanks Troy!
That looks amazing
Looking good ! Just reminded me I need to do mine . My black is looking more like gray 😂
At least yours is still there! We waited so long that most of the mulch had blown away or started decomposing! Thanks Steve!
@@digdrivediy great job . I love your property. No close neighbors 👍👍
Happy b day. Congrats. Looks great
Thanks so much!
Sweet. Happy birthday. Now go dig a pond, dad.
Getting closer... ;)
How does it look? I think you have a beautiful family........
Thanks for that Jon!
Bleach water solution works great for the outdoor rocks anything painted etc cleans and keeps the mold/algae down. Poooond tiiime but its almost fall.... lol.
Yeah, that pond may not even be ready in time for hockey this winter???
Thanks for the tip on the bleach water. That makes good sense!
I googled videographer pay rates $30/hr, looks like you may owe the girls a couple of bucks !! Great video, great result
Oh, they've been well compensated 😂
Now we are ready for the bushes.
Huh? Legit laughed out loud!!

That pond talk is probably just coincidence ☺️
Looks really nice. How many times did girls complain
They didn't do too bad. By the end of it they were ready to hang it up though! They were troopers. (Running the cameras helped)
Cool video!
Thanks Caleb!
Handtools??? I would have for sure needed the big dump truck a backhoe a compact tractor and a mini excavator on that job lol.
Oh I've thought about it!
They make a dye to spray on to make the old mulch look new. Might rescue old mulch for 1 more season...
That's cool! May need to look into that but this time there wasn't enough mulch left to even spray! :)
I thought you would of had the Cub Cadet back then or was that when you just got your first Johnny?
I had already given up the Cub by then. That 300 was my first Johnny.
I remember in the one video I think your collection video. It talked about the Cub Cadet. Wasn't a 127 or 147?
@@matthewpage9617 That's right! It was a 127. I had the Cub before Kara was even around :)

I wondered how much longer you'd leave us PONDering.......
Well, haven't started digging just yet, so.... :) (Love the pun though!)
youre girls are talented! Now if the only know how to edit a video...
They're working on it!

It looks great, by the way 😁
Mainly for looks. Like putting on your Sunday best... but for a house :)
I see by the aerial views that you have the baby pond in the area. Some of those are very impressive, as is yours.
I found your channel a little while ago and have been trying to catch up. I've been so impressed with how much pride you take on the appearance of your home and landscaping. This is one incredible family these kids should make everyone with kids want to raise their kids in the country
Looking back at this video now, you definitely were adding some foreshadowing!
Eva & Ella were both my grandmother's names. They lived in Wisconsin. I'm an identical twin. There is nothing better than always having a friend.
We named them after our great-great grandmothers. Eva was mine and Ella my wife's.
I use the same place for mulch. Good prices and selections
The gardening never ends my friend lol
I don't feel so bad about not having my place all done... I have 13 years to catch up:)
I don’t like to post negative stuff but fenders r so I don’t get a chipped windshield. Please get a set they don’t cost much
OMG, that was so cute! "And it's all going to be recorded by my two daughters...": (sorry, I couldn't make out their names, but they sure look like two awesome girls.). Great job love it nice looking great love your videos thank you
Pitch forks work better on mulch. I've spread 10's of thousands of yards of it.
👍👌👏 2) Now all you need is a good quality wood chipper to make your own wood chips and mulch. 😁 ;-)
Best regards luck and health to all involved people.

Well... the beginning of the video came up a little....short... ah?? AHHHHH.... alright, I'll see myself out after the show!
😁
Looks great!!
You guys made me smile 😃
Those girls did a fantastic job helping, and filming. and they look better than you, also. Your lovely wife is included with the girls, of course. TEE-HEE.
Happy birthday girls!!! Can’t wait for the next video! How’s the new mini splits working in the new barn at work Neil?
Thanks Tyler! The mini split has been working awesome. My brother loves it and they used it recently to host a party and said it has been great.
Nice job filming, girls! The mulch looks great.
Thanks Chad!
What is the name and location of the mulch supplier?
Graber Lumber. Spencerville, Indiana.
Look's great .....Awesome job girls!!
Why don’t you have any 317s? I’ve been eyeing one up by me in good shape with a snow blade.
I’m assuming because of the rear setup and most have the 1 series kohler
That's right. And mainly the lack of power steering makes them very hard to steer after you're used to a 318.
I need some of the DIY ( or in my case DBM - do by myself!) power and the cute video creators (good job, girls!) to work on my landscaping. Just watching all the work involved made me tired. ;-)
Ha! They're not for hire yet! Gotta keep training them first 😉
The girls did a great job! Best camera crew
Beautiful Family ya got there💝💝💝
Thanks!
Black mulch really brings out the colors.
Best video to date Neil! Wishing you all the best!
Wow, thanks!
Awesome!
What a gr8t family. May God Continue to Bless you guys.
Wow!!!!!
Love the black mulch!! I will be using that instead of the red!!!
Looks real nice, and awesome job from the birthday girls!!! They did great!
Have a good day Neil & Family!!!!
Hello from Wisco
We've always loved the look of the black. Makes everything pop!
@@digdrivediy it sure does
Have a great week
Looks great. Nothing better than fresh mulch. The girls did a great job. Happy early birthday to them.
It is a great feeling. I love the smell of that stuff too!
Yes. do around the trees too 😁 It looks great, and it's always nice to have some good help.
Nice job girls!! Niel you better get working on that club! The one that you will need to use to keep the boys away 😂. Take care my friend
Yeah, no joke! :) It's all happening too fast!
Just so you know: I appreciate all the work and care you put into your videos, I look forward to watching them.
Thanks so much. That's nice to hear.
