We were thrilled to work with the community on this build! The volunteers did a fantastic job, it's great to see everyone come together to create a safe and exhilarating play experience for the kids.

The playground has been a tremendous hit for the kids, parents and grandparents of Harlan! We felt fortunate to work with a company that was willing to provide a "Community Build" option and provided such an excellent Project Supervisor. Thanks for the great equipment and thanks for checking out the video!

Its really nice to see a company that has an option to hire a project manager to work with a crew of volunteers instead of having to hire an entire crew to install their equipment. Speaks volumes about their commitment to community and not just the bottom line.

Absolutely! We chose Miracle Playgrounds from the other bids on this project because they offered this option.

This is nice to watch! I volunteered and donated $15,000 from our family to build one of our newer parks. Absolutely loved working with the city engineers, and contractors.
We didn't have the luxury of redirecting funds or the option to "hire" out volunteer work forces. But anything that wasnt machinery, 100 volunteers did.
ADA also worked close with us to be ADA compliant, even had the ADA brach director shoveling stone.
What a community can do for itself is up to the community. Proper permits, and money, municipalities wont usually fight. Everyone should raise a voice in their community! Theres funds dedicated in each municipality for these jobs, but it goes in another account until voices speak. If not, the money disappears.
    Great job crew!

Such a great investment in your community, by investing in your youth. If more communities and towns took the time to do similar projects for their kids, the country would have a much richer environment. The sprit of volunteers doesn't ask "What's in it for me?" but rather they know how big a smile it puts on their own faces when they see their kids enjoying the fruits of their labor.

You are correct having a seasoned project manager like Juan is invaluable for projects like this. From the way to lay things out, to using packaging for garbage bags, but it all comes back to the skills of the men and women that assemble it. Pretty rare for suburbanites and city folks to have the work ethic, tools and equipment to get a job like this done themselves. Over my years of spreading hundreds and hundreds of yards of mulch... I've learned that the first load of mulch you put down degrades quickly (its like the soil is hungry initially). I recommend getting a good local arborist (look for the guy with the best chipper / smallest woodchips) to dump you free piles next to the playground (during the winter) so next spring you can spread it out and keep it looking fresh and keep the ground soft. Stay away from the toxic rubber mulches (unless that is your only option).

All of our mulch came from a lumber mill that is 5 miles from the park. Hopefully they can keep us stocked up too! Thanks Paul

Hello Neil, you guys made a really nice playground for the kids in the community. Let's hope they really appreciate everyone's hard work . It was definitely a big install, nice to see you could do the install yourself and get some better equipment . The concrete mixer is a really handy truck , never have seen these here in belgium or Europe. Congratulations to all the workers involved in the build , and specifically to your dad . He keeps going strong at his age. Respect Wish you guys all the best. Greetings from belgium 🇧🇪

Thanks so much Johan! Yes, it was a rewarding project with a great result. Those front discharge mixers are absolutely the best for an assortment of concrete jobs. Thanks so much for checking out the video!

That's awesome! I had no idea your family did so much for the park and community. It was cool to see my childhood home in that initial drone shot. Keep up the great work!
