Thanks, David. I will beat this horrible constant pain, I'm determined to. It's either that or sit here and sulk for the rest of my life and I'm not prepared to do that.
Good to see you again, I've been watching you for a long time with all the bike builds etc. Hope to see you getting better and doing what you like to do. Well, when you've run out of all ideas on what is possible to build with a useless leg, what else is there to inspire people with? I could build an iron curtain, shut out the rest of the world and, with the leftovers, build myself a bionic leg but where's the fun in that? 😬

Bulging disc - You need to strengthen your inner core with exercise like Yoga or Pilates and not eat too much to be overweight. His is what I've found and also when your body says i'm hurting after exercise, long walk or standing too long all day; Take Rest... Do take anti-inflammatory drugs a few days or 1-2 weeks max as to reduce the swelling on your back as this will help you to be a bit mobile. Protect your back and your back will keep you mobile and not risk the future of going under the knife at hospital.
Stay strong buddy, I look forward to your journey back to health! Maybe you could offer your services (for a nominal fee) as an advisor or consultant to folks who are building their own crazy projects? I’d honestly pay you to help me with mine!
Hi Tony good to see you're back and have a more optimistic view on things. Best of luck with treating your back issues :-) whatever you do with it....make sure surgery is your last option coz science is not that great on it.
I'm not really a risk taker but this does involve a lot of risk, no matter which avenue I decide to go down. Surgery scares me to death and just the thought of it makes me cringe. I'm an indecisive person too so I don't know which way to run at the moment. I'll get there eventually, I always do 😁
Cheers Dave, you haven't seen me at my worst. I hit rock bottom a few months ago and I made some videos which I might release one day, it even shocks me to see how bad I was.
We all want to see you back out on your bikes and scooters, we like your sense of humour and find your voice relaxing and pleasant 👍. As for me i have somthing going on with my back, my arms and legs ache like hell at night, especialy when i run out of dihydracodene and get zero sleep
I'll get there eventually mate and the happy voice will return. With all this support, I'm determined to do it even more now but in a bigger way than I could ever think of. I never do things by half so what am I waiting for? 🤣🤣 DHC withdrawal is a bitch...... ask me how I know. That reminds me, that's another story for another day.
Sorry mate, I meant Istanbul. I've been corrected a few times now and I do apologise. Thanks for letting me know, I'm old and my brain tells me things that really don't make sense.
good luck tony...i think therefore i have a bad back, this time last year i was in more pain than ever, like getting electricuted constantly, ended up in A&E in a wheelchair, when your back goes, you cant even sit down, stand up or get comfy, the pain is so intense that sweat pours out of you, like being stabbed with a red hot knife... you are disabled..... sign up all over social media and share your vids like crazy matey
I'm going to tell the full story mate, I've got to now it's out there. The pain, the depression, the anxiety attacks, the lack of support and doctors who keep dishing out pills because they only think of their pockets. Some people think I'm sponging off the state now and claiming PIP or some other benefits but I'm not, I have no income. Out of all the risks I've taken in my life, this is millions of times bigger and I need all the help and support I can get. Please keep on leaving comments like this mate, you don't know how much it helps. This time next year.......... I've decided on my future now and it's gonna shock the shit out of people 😂👍
Sorry to hear this mate. I had to pack my business in 2018 as I was homeless and bad health. as the guy we was renting from put the rent up so high we had to get out. Then made us homeless from then on. My health got worse. Had to give up work. My own business I worked hard at for 15years. Then Covid hit. 🤷🏼♂️ 2018 winter was not at all kind here in the uk. Many other things I could tell you. But I’m not hear to boar you. I’m hear to say. Stay strong brother. You can get through this. 👊🏼🤖
You keep going mate, it's your place to say what you want! It seems to me that everyone in business in the UK is struggling mate and they have been for many years now. It also seems to me that the majority of small businesses have gone now and there's only large, corporate places left. "The rich get richer" springs to mind. I know you'll remember the days of the family business and the superb friendly service they used to offer but sadly, not anymore. I'll keep strong as long as you do 😁👍
The only relief I ever got for sciatica was to get on my knees and put my butt on my heals then try to put my chin to my knees. The stretching opens up the muscles that have the nerve pinched and the bulhe generally goes away. If it is bad enough that you can't pop it out on your own you can ask someone to massage the sides of your vertibrea just where your hips attatched. Good luck, I understand how bad back pain is when you have nerves damaged or pinched and anyone judging you or mouthing off is a total dimwit.
Mr Mark.... train them in what? I'm a dedicated and full time professional idiot with zero consideration for my own life. What could I possibly train them in (apart from being a dedicated and full time professional idiot with zero consideration for their own life)? I'll happily train anyone in anything I'm capable of, I don't charge for it, it's only an email away.
I hope everything goes well Tony. Been a subscriber from the beginning. Probably your fault why I have built more e-bikes than I need. The changes coming are going to be interesting. I can see it now at the doctors "This is my sciatica nerve, not your sciatica nerve, it's my sciatica nerve"🤣 (Sorry, but it sounded funny in my head). But seriously, I wish you all the best👍
🤣🤣🤣 "This is my sciatica nerve, not your sciatica nerve, it's my sciatica nerve" I did go to the doctor's recently, I looked at him square in the face and said "stop giving me more f****** tablets". I was suffering with severe depression at the time (which I will talk about soon) and I'm glad I said it. Not because of anything he did, just because it got it off my chest 😁 FYI it made no difference.
So you have a bulging disc , they can operate , and shave off the bulging bit , or remove the disc and replace it with a titanium one , more complicated and very expensive That disc wouldn't have bulged like that for no reason , unless you have severe spinal disease , there must have been injury , you lifted something wrong , moved In the wrong way somehow . . One thing I would try , is using magnesium spray , you can get it fron health food shops or online , spray that on your back before bed , use a hot water bottle , the heat will help the back absorbe the magnesium , and if any of your back muscles have locked up , stopped working in order words , which is our bodies way of defending after an injury , that magnesium should cause them to relax , using that method can work miracles in some cases , it's worth a try
@Vortecks Can't you get a government pension for your disability because you're unable to work? I'm on a Disability Support Pension in Australia which pays for my bills, food, some travel but nothing else it's about 610 Pounds per fortnight or 305 Pounds per week in your money.
Tony i'm happy to donate towards your operation. I normally never donate to anyone but in your case you deserve a little good luck . Sciatica is one of most painful things i've ever had to endure and it went on for 6 months . Mine was cured eventually with the correct massaging but yours sounds more serious and I wish you good luck with the operation. I loved your inventive electric bike building it was pioneer stuff and I miss it and hope at some point you will revisit that. It was so much fun watching your reaction to the scary acceleration. It's a pity you can't bring that same inventiveness to curing your back problem ..imagine the royalties from such an invention ! Stay strong my friend.
It certainly is. I find it tough because I keep thinking of the NHS as a business. If you keep paying a business for decades like I have, how long do you wait for them to do the job they've promised you all these years?
The NHS is an absolute disgrace. Many doctors simply are not qualified. Many others are “too scared” to offer treatment, leaving you to suffer in pain until the pain either goes away, or you die.
This is intentional. Tories run it down so they can say it isn't working, then replace it with a private insurance based system like in America and cream off the obscene profits. Add Brexit and make the country so toxic that desperately needed foreign professionals leave, and new ones won't come. Sad that it took so long for people to realise what was really happening to your country.
Yes, I have been corrected. I do apologise, it's Istanbul and not Bulgaria. I'm old, my memory ranges from bad to really bad and I should have had a script but I forgot.

No mate, that's not my job. I shouldn't really have said it, if I'm honest. I didn't mean I was going to take them on, I was only relaying what I was told. I'm just bitter about not getting what I should have got and having to live with a plainly evident problem which should have been rectified by now. The healthcare system is nothing but a business which I have to pay every month for. If you had paid money to another business for decades, how long would you think is reasonable to get the service you've paid for?
@@Vortecks If you pay for a service then you should get everything the service provides. I live in Sweden and it's almost the same here. All of the doctors I have met have been hesitant to do anything. Although, they would taken a look at your problem but it would have taken ages until you get some actual help. I have a bad back but I can walk fine and even work out if I'm careful. What kind of journey are you gonna be doing?

I have been a subscriber for years, thanks for inviting us all on your journey, I do hope everything turns out OK for.you and your family.
I am not religious, but God does love a tryer.
David in Thailand.
We are here not just because of the electronic builds etc but because we like your personality and your attitude to life. Life can only get better so let's start this journey now together we are all here. I'm sure what ever videos you bring out we will watch. If your new here, where have you been go and check some earlier videos you will be amazed at some of the projects that's been made here.
Cheers mate, I appreciate that!
Only one thing... I don't have a personality (I like to be know as a mononality and I just made that word up 😁) but I definitely do have an attitude towards life. I wouldn't be me if I wasn't so unique (WOW, I just made up another motto 😁).
TOP MAN ...inspiring us all again to overcome those obstacles that affects so many of us suffering from a faulty BMS to a sciatic nerve,Truly amazing chap
Well, when you've run out of all ideas on what is possible to build with a useless leg, what else is there to inspire people with? I could build an iron curtain, shut out the rest of the world and, with the leftovers, build myself a bionic leg but where's the fun in that? 😬
@@Vortecks Morning from Ireland the weather is crap,My leg is killing me arthritis, just had a knee replacement after waiting 8 years need to get the other done now.A man cave full of projects inspired by you but don't have the energy to Finnish. But all is great when i watch your new journey, adventures and that amazing positivity we all love, Just wish i could wake up to a new video every day and maybe rob a bank and jump on a plane lol
I'll get there eventually, I always do 😁
I'm right here, at the tip of my seat. Let's go
Good to see you back Tony you are looking a lot better in your self 👍👏👏👏
DHC withdrawal is a bitch...... ask me how I know. That reminds me, that's another story for another day.
Wishing you all the best mate and good luck. Hope the future goes well for you
Cheers matey. It scares me stupid being in this position but it's the only way I can live without pain. This time next year....... 😁👍
Good luck T thanks.
You're still here? 👍👍
Bulgaria has nothing to do with Asia. You must be thinking about Turkey. Anyways, I hope you feel better soon!
Sorry mate, I meant Istanbul. I've been corrected a few times now and I do apologise. Thanks for letting me know, I'm old and my brain tells me things that really don't make sense.
Same. Its really not fair when people get all sorts of unnecessary crap done with NHS.
I know where you're coming from but I can't comment mate. We're both on the same page though.
good luck tony...i think therefore i have a bad back, this time last year i was in more pain than ever, like getting electricuted constantly, ended up in A&E in a wheelchair, when your back goes, you cant even sit down, stand up or get comfy, the pain is so intense that sweat pours out of you, like being stabbed with a red hot knife... you are disabled..... sign up all over social media and share your vids like crazy matey
I've decided on my future now and it's gonna shock the shit out of people 😂👍
Erm...okay. Along for the ride in Brum. Good luck
It'll probably be a bumpy ride mate, my life usually is!
Hi Tony ,why don't you train people ,you have skills
Mr Mark.... train them in what? I'm a dedicated and full time professional idiot with zero consideration for my own life. What could I possibly train them in (apart from being a dedicated and full time professional idiot with zero consideration for their own life)?
I'll happily train anyone in anything I'm capable of, I don't charge for it, it's only an email away.
If you had taken up my job offer many months ago, we would both have the ca-ching for us both to get the medical treatment we both desperately need……
Yup, I'm stupid mate. I always miss the good opportunities but I think this is enough of a risk for one lifetime 😬
@@Vortecks It wasn’t any risk to you. Just some 3D drawing and RC electronic stuff. Things that you can easily do, that I cannot.
Legend
I hope everything goes well Tony. Been a subscriber from the beginning. Probably your fault why I have built more e-bikes than I need. The changes coming are going to be interesting. I can see it now at the doctors "This is my sciatica nerve, not your sciatica nerve, it's my sciatica nerve"🤣 (Sorry, but it sounded funny in my head). But seriously, I wish you all the best👍
🤣🤣🤣 "This is my sciatica nerve, not your sciatica nerve, it's my sciatica nerve"
I did go to the doctor's recently, I looked at him square in the face and said "stop giving me more f****** tablets". I was suffering with severe depression at the time (which I will talk about soon) and I'm glad I said it. Not because of anything he did, just because it got it off my chest 😁
FYI it made no difference.
So you have a bulging disc , they can operate , and shave off the bulging bit , or remove the disc and replace it with a titanium one , more complicated and very expensive
That disc wouldn't have bulged like that for no reason , unless you have severe spinal disease , there must have been injury , you lifted something wrong , moved In the wrong way somehow .
@Vortecks
Can't you get a government pension for your disability because you're unable to work?
Chris (or Christopher) can you drop me an email please mate? I'd like to thank you properly.

Tony
It's a disgrace in this country when you pay for health care through national insurance and then have to go to another country and pay for treatment.
It certainly is. I find it tough because I keep thinking of the NHS as a business. If you keep paying a business for decades like I have, how long do you wait for them to do the job they've promised you all these years?
Good morning, sent you a little something. To help you start your journey.
I can't thank you enough mate. It's people like you who really make me smile 😁👍👍👍
@@Vortecks if only you were in Sheffield would be enough for at least 4 special massages.
@davidwebb4904 100% my feelings too.
Its Turkey thats part Asia, part Europe.
Yes, I have been corrected. I do apologise, it's Istanbul and not Bulgaria. I'm old, my memory ranges from bad to really bad and I should have had a script but I forgot.
@@Vortecks The City of Cats. Been there twice.
@@davidwebb4904 Is it a nice place mate?
@@Vortecks Im a cat person, so yeah. Theres a lot of hills in the city. It was quite exhausting walking around. People are nice. Except the carpet sellers. Annoying as fk. Prices for many things are “negotiable” which I don’t like doing at all. Though I don’t have money or desire to buy things anyway. On a budget, fly Pegasus. If you think inflation here is bad. In 2020 I got 7 lira to the pound. Todays its more like 35 lira. They love our western money.
Have you tried getting a customer service job you’ll be able to work from home at least you’ll have some sort of income
I haven't, purely because I'm not a customer service person. I did it once and it didn't end well, I have no time for timewasters mate.
I cant donate but i can whatch every vid and like and comment that helps a bit .good luck with the op .DONT do it in gemany they only want your mone they dont give a
shit how you feel or what happens to you after trust me i live here .I hope bulgerea is honest with you
I didn't know you were in Germany? I thought you were in Hungary or am I wrong again?
Just like I'm wrong with Bulgaria, I meant to say ISTANBUL. Old brains don't like names of places.
So are you gonna try to expose the healthcare system in the UK and maybe the rest of the western world?
I know you could have fixed yourself if the problem would have been in the front of your body. Money sent get better and get us brilliant vidoes. All best mate ;)))) We love you very hard ;))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
You are a gentleman, Sir. Thank you 😁👍
Oh yeah, if it was at the front of my body, I'd have done DIY surgery before now... I've done it before and I'll probably do it again like the skin tag I had on my eyelid (side cutters have never been so handy and I'm not lying either).

If you have a back problem, don't go to your GP, useless....Pain killers is all they dole out. Dont need an overpaid GP to do that. I had to beg for a GP referral so I could get Physiotherapy which immediately started fixing my back problem. This was PRE Covid cobblers....I hope your luck turns around Tony mate...🤔😳😏😀🇬🇧
I can tell you now the video is out...... I've been kicked from pillar to post mate. The GP prescribed codeine which was a fatal mistake but I'm off them now (that's another story). I initially had physio but, like you, it was pre-covid times but now, I'm on the 'waiting list' for physio, an exploratory injection into my spine (for the second time) and I'm also waiting for another appointment with pain management. Every time I call them, I get the same reply of "we'll contact you in due course".
I've had enough now and I'm going to do it the Tony way...... very much overkill 😁😁😁
