To be honest a lot of people who buy them for daily drinking is they are from an area that has really bad water quality, either domestically or internationally.
You only drink 32 12 oz bottles of water per month? Like...how? What are you drinking them for? If you only take one with you every once in a while, just get a metal bottle and eschew the crap plastic altogether.
And the math on cost on bottled water is off too. In his math if I heard right he’s calculating based on one bottle of water per day. I know experts don’t agree on how much water the average person needs but I haven’t heard anyone say the 16oz that one bottle usually has. I drink 3-4 bottles and per day and if you have more than one person in your home multiple that out.
I get my paper towels from Costco too. I stopped buying toilet paper cause that gets expensive. I use paper towels as toilet paper. I obviously can't put it in the toilet but it saves money
With the under the counter filtration, which is less than a $1000 and you can get them at Lowes/Homedepot, you didn't factor the use of that water for cooking at home (unless you use tap water to make your mac and cheese, potatoes, etc), and if your freezer doesn't have an ice maker you now have pure water ice.
I can go to the dirt track for $10-$15 on a Sat. night during the summer and see several hours' worth of exciting racing. It's one of the best deals going.

Amazon have them between 50- 250 if i get the 50 dollars one i get 2 5 gallon that 20 bucks for 2 months so 6×20 is 120 plus filter need to be changed every 6-12 months depending how hard your water is it 78 bucks a year(i dont have hard water in my apartment luckily) right now i get my filtered water for free at work but its only 32 oz

Good RO systems cost like $300 and given most water systems are not far behind Flint, Michigan. It’s a good investment for your health plus the money you save and other health benefits by drinking more water and avoiding purchasing of bottled water or sodas. I keep a nice insulated water bottle near me at all times and insulated Tumblr at my desk. It saved me tons of money, especially because I have a family of five. I installed it myself. George is simply wrong here and didn’t fully do his research. I will agree that it is kind of a luxury item but I do believe a well used one earns back its return on investment if you’re not drinking tons of regular tap water instead. I’ve read the water test results for my county, and prefer the RO. I agree on the concert tickets, especially because most of them are lip synced over a recording.

Now I'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling!
I dont know how it is for you guys in US, but here in Italy once thing that FOR SURE it's better NOT buying at this time (and Dave would agree on this) are CARS . In general, wether new or second hand, both have seeen an increase in price well over 30% in the last 6 to 12 months and that is one the biggest reasons why car sales are down in Europe now .
Canada was insane for a while. We had to buy a new (to us) car (needed where we live because the transit is not efficient) and almost cried at the price. The prices are still higher, but have come down a bit now.
@@lk1869 in 2024 i was supposed to renew my leasing after 3 years and should have (according to Mercedes Benz) signed for a new lEasing contract for most probably the same car model (at a higher price) or upgrading to a higher model getting even more expensive . After thinking about i decided to "buyout" my leased car with 21.000k cash and found out my car is now worth 30.000k due to crazy market rise in prices . And as long as the market will stay like this, i will stick to my current car just making sure it gets the right amount of TLC .
Concert tickets... Well... Please do not stop going to concerts. It is the only way for smaller artists and bands to make any money. Spotify only works for the upper 1%. As someone who is playing in a band, I urge you: Go to the smaller bands and venues.
We are a tiny band with the hope of being a small band one time 😅
George you are one of the most frugal guys I watch and you are passing so many things! You need to make a list of your frugal things you do!! 😊 one of my favorite channels btw!
Has ... has George never cleaned a toilet?
Add that to the boujee-boi checklist!
I use a scrubber with detachable heads. Not getting my hands all up in there 🤣
@@GeorgeKamel You use the paper towel to wipe the seat, tank, cover, and outside of the toilet.

2+ liters of water per day would add up pretty quickly if buying bottled water. We are lucky to have good drinking water so we just refill a couple pitchers from the tap every night and put them in the fridge for the next day.
always keep a pack of plastic water bottles somewhere in case a storm or emergency cuts off your tap water
Was going bald anyway. I bought a $25 Wahl hair clipper set a year ago and the clippers have paid for themselves numerous times. Still go to the barber if I've got an event I need to look sharp for.
John Mark fan here, he was the pastor of the church I went to for a while. Love his teachings!
3:50, depending on the brand and whatever deals they have, it’s roughly 1-2 packs a day.
He won’t pay for marked up soda, but he will pay for marked up bottled water? 🧐
It's his choice
Better than buying tons of bottled water and tons of plastic, buy a couple 3 gallon water jugs and fill them for 30-40 CENTS a gallon.
This
Ive seen cheap RO systems for as low as $100. They can be thousands but thats like a whole home system
Plus, people don't snag glass storage containers in communal fridges and so forth. It's like they know it is more valuable. Kind of a psychological thing.
I pick up my pizzas. It’s cheaper, faster, and they’re hotter when I get home.
we used one of the food delivery service at beginning of pandemic since we had a baby, then we heard the delivery guy coughing loudly from his lung all the way to our front door. After that we never used any food delivery service anymore, not worth the risk, sorry if I sound too chicken but I don't like to be sick simply because I'm too lazy to drive out to get my food, I don't live an hour away from civilization, I can afford the drive time
also totally agree on th food being much warmer when doing my own pickup. We used food delivery service couple times when having gathering with friend, it took almost 2 hrs to get the food, I was starving and dizzy, and food was cold and mushy by the time we got it, and we had to spent 50% more of the food cost for that delivery. I still didn't understand the logic behind that
Same! I’m not paying a delivery fee to get my pizza sometimes 1-2 hours later and then I’m expected to tip the driver for giving me cold food that’s late. HARD PASS! I’ll pick it up myself it’s ready in 10-20 minutes and I’m 5 minutes away.
Basically this video taught me that we're doing pretty good with money because we do almost all of these.

George, have you ever cleaned a toliet?? Why do you think using paper towels in the bowl is gross? They are called gloves and you use those to protect your hands if you are scared of getting dirty. The toilet bowl cleaner wands can only reach so far.
Also, cats can have a firmer puke that's easy to lift and clean. Really big would be when they get some distance and/or liquidy pukes.
An undersink RO system the remineralizes is 350 dollars…. A tank RO system is only about 150.
I have never subscribed to any cable service. I stopped any newspaper subscription too- That includes both the paper and electronic versions. I use a Brita filtered water pitcher and have no water softener either. I never water the lawn but instead plugs of drought resistant slow growing grass. That means I mow less too.
I rarely dine out and tend to eat at home. I use rewards or coupons for to go orders sometimes.
Frankly I hate to travel anyway so that’s a big savings by having a stay-cation. I can always virtual -travel the world via the internet. It costs less and it’s a whole lot more convenient!

RO system to cover all drinking water at the sink is only $200. More than enough for my family of 7. Missed it on the RO. Sorry.
I feel like plastic water bottles are so far removed from my life that I’m shocked to hear anyone still uses them for their day to day drinking
Same! I keep 1 package of them for disasteral event storage but that's it
@@meve531right??? I feel like if I’m at the airport or something maybe I’ll grab one but I’m shocked to hear people are just buying cases of these for their drinking water!

>> Soda at restaurants is marked up.
>>*buys bottled water*
An under sink Reverse Osmosis system is a couple hundred dollars... Not $5K.
yes, and they are worth it if you have hard (mineral-rich) tap water
This. Sorry George y'all didn't do your HW on this one and you got a rare thumbs down from me for spreading misinformation.
Yeah, plus there's no way a 30 pack of water lasts a month if that's all you're drinking. That's less than a half litre a day
Yes ours also.
I love getting the Daily Kamel haha. Every day on my break I watch the videos
Real tree has always been a waste of money. My dad still has the same tree he bought for about $250 40+ years ago.
been using the same glass food containers from ikea for the last 7 years. those things hold UP
My RO system cost less than $200. Thousands?
Stopped buying expensive expensive disposal razor cartridges and started using a DE razor. Can’t believe that didn’t make the list.
I get my paper towels from Costco too. I stopped buying toilet paper cause that gets expensive. I use paper towels as toilet paper. I obviously can't put it in the toilet but it saves money
Things would have to get BAAADDDD. for me to do this....
Go to smaller concerts in 2025 🗣️
I can go to the dirt track for $10-$15 on a Sat. night during the summer and see several hours' worth of exciting racing. It's one of the best deals going.
Producers laughter in the background made this vid.
I used to buy the 5 gallon jug water for 3 bucks now they went up to 10 dollars. Stopped buying them now saving up to get a counter top water filter.
If you can't go through bulk spices in a year, then it's a waste. After about a year, they don't taste like much of anything. Better option is the Mexican isle at the grocery store. They sell all kinds of herbs and spices in little plastic bags that are half the price of the same ones a few isles over in the spice isle.
I bought my reverse osmosis system as an open box from amazon for I think $150. Way more convenient than filling a brita pitcher up all the time!
I have a Brita filter pitcher, and I plan to purchase a whole house filter from Home Depot for $175.99.
In canada 14$ buys you one pack. Many many people smoke a pack a day including people who think they don't but aren't counting the number of packs per week or month
2:22 a 32 pack of water ain't lasting a month...
It would last me less than a week.
If you laugh, you lose!!!!!
The editors are great 😂
It really depends on how much money you have to work with to decide what you eliminate.
Yes paper towels to clean the outside of toilet bowl.. the sides, below by the crotch of toilet bowl where doo doo n pee sits forever . I know because I clean houses as part time job 😂
maybe gettin bounty when theyre on sale gettin little crazy is so funny
I always just get water at restaurants and stuff
I do that 90% of the time myself.
My father cut my hair with a Flowbee all the way until 2012, when I started making enough money cutting lawns to buy my own haircuts at great clips 😂😂 the haircuts weren’t horrible, it just HURT to use and wasn’t worth the $20 saved

Laurel Road is some sweet bait and switch. I signed up for an account at 4.5% and by the time I was able to transfer in my emergency fund they dropped the rate to 4.15%!
(transfers take a full week, so, one week for the test $1 transfer, and a second week to transfer the full fund.)
At least with Marcus they kept the higher rate for a few months before dropping it to 3.9%!
George, I'm taking your future sponsors with a grain of salt.
All hysa do this. At least they are still close to 4%. My local bank dropped my account all the way down to 2%
@@thedude5040 Yeah, but a promotional rate that goes away right when you transfer money into the account is bait and switch. I literally had the 4.5% for one day before they dropped it!
It wasn’t a promotional rate. Just rough timing with them dropping rates (which we’ve seen across the board with other banks HYSAs). Still a great rate comparatively.
I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2025, we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $350k of my savings in stocks against next year. Hope to make millions in 2025
Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience. If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert and that's what helped me during my days of failure before my financial adviser helped me scale through the market ups and down
I guess you are right and how can one find a verifiable financial advisor? I would not mind looking up the professional that helped you
Sure you can! Gabriel Alberto William is the financial advisor I work with. Just make a research with the name. You’d find necessary details to work with

I have a $300 carafe from Aqua Tru Water. Fits on the counter and the replacement filters aren’t super expensive. Since everything is poisen 😂 we do what we can. We still buy plastic bottles for convenience.
Yass paper towels are for the outside of the toilet lol
Bless George's heart... he thinks thousands of dollars for a RO system. Poor guy is out of touch lol
I know this reminds me when he thought a circular saw was like 10 times the price 😂
The one I’m talking about is a pro-level system. Not the simple under-sink version.
I've been cutting my own hair for over 20 years. Not worth paying 25 or $30 plus a tip for a quick haircut

Alice Cooper still puts on a heck of a show and is on the affordable side of concerts 🤘🎸
BarfNPoops is the next Redit name. (6:09) 😅
If a 32 pack of water lasts you a whole month, you are definitely not drinking enough water.... Get you a metal water bottle and use a filter.
5:07 That's where I'm at. I wasn't able to see her in concert and I didn't go to that Eras movie because I figured that the fans would just be screaming the lyrics the whole time and drown out Taylor. I want to hear Taylor sing and not a bunch of 12 year old girls that sound like cats being tortured.

In Oregon a cut your own tree permit is $5.
That cigarette habit also cost about $50 per month extra on the health insurance side.
I think the Brita is definitely the frugal reasonable alternative to water bottles
I use two Brita filter pitchers (one was a gift) and a dozen glass water bottles that I can chill for drinking.
It is but he severely misrepresented the cost of a home RO system. They cost as much as a cheap expresso machine and the filters need replacing less often than Brita.
Oh lawd. I’m keeping my bounty paper towels❣️. lol. I just can’t drain fried meat on cloth anything!
Don’t agree with the math on the reverse osmosis, if you have a family of 4 with water bottles those numbers change quickly.
Most restaurants won't give free refills, too
Where TF are you eating that doesn't have free refills? I'm not sure I've been to a restaurant except for top restaurants (plates that start at $100) that do not have free refills.

I follow it is the same logic as getting a good espresso machine to make your coffee at home rather than constantly visiting Starbucks for six dollar lattes.
40 pack from BJs or Costco is 3.99. I do have a reverse osmosis though because we use it for cooking and other things . I would guess I use 2-3 gallons a day with it.
I grew up with a real tree. Yes I miss the smell but don't miss the extra work. Fak tree and plus you can get a tree smell fresher

Who the hell only drinks 5 bucks worth of water bottles a month?
Definitely not agreeing with the water bottles vs RO. Buying water is bad for the person, bad for the environment, and bad for the wallet. And an under sink RO system a well reviewed one is only a couple hundred not 5k.
BRO! a RO system is about $300. don't believe me? look up bulk reef supply.
My bil lives on cigarettes and black coffee..been smoking probably 1-2 pack a day for probably 45 years..lives with mommy and he and mom have their Medicare paid for, have Medicaid and food stamps and a house keeper who comes twice a week (thanks to Medicaid) and they get all this because they’re not a married couple where their incomes r included together (unlike us who are married and get punished) they make more than we do as a married couple and we can’t get any kind of assistance because we’re a couple our income is counted as one…that’s how bro in law affords his cigarettes and goes to the drive through daily for he and moms dinner and uses the food stamps for junk and mom has $10,000 in her freezer..thanks government!
