My grandfather was a drum sargent in johnstone pipe band 1970s and 80s and i remember going to Dunblane Highland games to watch and listen to him play when ever I hear the pipes and drums it always takes me back to my childhood and it puts a lump in the back of my throat and brings a tear to my eye i love the way they play in perfect harmony and they never miss a note.
I still don't get how they march so proudly, and play, and they are mostly serving solders etc. Wonderful sights and sounds. God bless from a Scots lass x
Centuries worth of history, and still no solution found to all the king's horses taking a dump in the presence of the monarch, and all the king's men then stepping in it.
The Shetland Pony is the mascot of The Royal Regiment of Scotland and is called Corporal Cruachan IV. The handler is also a Corporal and he is called Pony Major and his name is Mark.
Mm! Damn few Ps & Ds & FAR too many bloody brass instruments! - If I'd known I wouldn't have wasted my time watching it - sigh! If I want to listen to brass then a much better setting is Kyoto Tachibanna !
