Great video. I just use disposable blue latex gloves to avoid getting paint all over hands.
Thank you!
Yeah like the two 5 gallon unopened buckets of sherwin Williams pro block latex primer I just opened and mixed. Super thick and a quadrillion little chunks in it. I bought it two years ago on sale just because. Now that I need it ...its messed up
When I was using my airless sprayer, I zip tied a piece of straining material over the intake tube.....done and done....
You’re going to reduce volume going into your sprayer and that will clog up very quickly and can cause damage to your pump!
Thank u... I was given some paint some really expensive good paint by someone but I noticed there's sand throughout the paint will the strainer get the sand our?
I have never tried removing sand from paint. Did it work?
OK, it's good to know, but what about more information on that net strainer? Where best to buy? What kind of mesh works best?
And what about those cones for straining? What if we want to put the paint in old water jugs, instead of buckets? (Those clean buckets cost money!) What size mesh works best? What brand? Where to buy?
The strainers in the video come in 1 gallon and 5 gallon size. The mesh itself is one size. The cones are for thin automotive paints or lacquers, not house paints, house paints are too thick. You can pick the strainers up at most Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore paint stores. I would think milk jugs would be flimsy, but you could try.
Gloves!
Yep! :)
Could you not just put the filter over the the top of the paint with the bits in and then just push down on it with your brush, all the paint above the filter would be filtered.
You could, it would just take a lot longer and you would get some debris in your brush.
Next time use a pair of disposable gloves.
Good point! LOL!!
Where gloves to paint. Paint is not good for the skin u goof
Thank you. lol!
All good painters start with a life of bad decisions
Mistakes have been the best learning tools. Maybe I should wear gloves next time :)
