Watched your video and got depressed as my wife has not worn pantyhose or stockings since Bill Hayley stopped rocking around her clock. I discussed this situation with her hoping to come up with an idea and I did. As a person who hates to throw out anything that might come in handy at a later date I had scavenged some fine netting from her sewing room bin. It turns out this stuff is called tuille. It works a treat having just strained and used the paint in question. Thanks for taking the time to make and share the video you saved me a heap in time and or money
Good to hear, stocking are expensive to buy but cheap compared to the price of paint and a good paint finish. Don't forget to Like, Share and Subscribe.
+MrTachyon3000 Depending on how old the paint is it might be best to buy some more, there is a point where paint should not be used. Don't forget to, like, subscribe and share this video, Thanks
+howtopaintinfo Thanks for the advice. I painted two doors with semi gloss paint that I strained and they turned out ok; but I had to inspect paint quality after straining, and test on a small area.
Just a quick question. What denier do you recommend. I tried fishnet stockings but not great results. And pissed my wife right off. Joking aside it’s actually a great tip. Thanks.
What about those cone filters? Those seem to be LESS expensive than buying panty hose (for those of us who don't have hose laying around for free). I can't seem to find any info on which ones are best, or what size mesh works best for average latex house paint?
Sorry but never used cone filters, you can wash out the stockings if filtering water based paint, this will help with the cost. Don't forget to Like, Share and Subscribe.

Excellent. I have a lot of lumpy paint that I thought would be useless. I might still be able to get some good amount from it.

Two paint sticks works great for getting the last bit out of the stocking. Run the stocking through them while holding the sticks tightly together.
That would work.

Ventilation is good for your feet. Lol
Why can't you use the paint when it goes jelly like?
When it's like jelly means the liquid has evaporated and it's no good to use.

Great tutorial... terrible shoes 🤣
Can you not use some of those 500 micron filters that are used in the car paint industry? What micron are those stockings? 😂
Not sure on the micron, just know they work.
