Watched about six of these paint straining uploads here on YT, and this is the best so far. Just confirms that the way I've been doing it for years is the best. My wife gets a bit fed up with me asking for her tights all the time though. I find that squeezing it with my hands is the best way; which is only really on with water based paints of course.
be aware that not all paint will mix. if it's not the same brand and type then you run a pretty large risk of it not mixing. if paint does not mix fully, it will look consistent, but when applied to a wall it will expose any flaws in the mixture.
Unless you wash it out with water, which may require a lot of effort, it is unlikely that the expected result would be achieved and would likely cost more in labour than just buying a load of stockings from china for example.
Is there any way to clean the pantyhose to give back to the lady? This seems like a terrible waste. Maybe you can soak it and paint thinner for a day and then run it through the wash.

Is there any type of stocking that you recommend? I mean, what do I tell the lady at the counter in Walmart when I asked her for stockings?
