- As a massive fan of Rivals of Aether and Dan Fornace's work in general, I really wanted to commemorate the 11th anniversary of his first major project, Super Smash Land, all while paying respects to the character that would carry Dan's legacy throughout his work...Orcane's predecessor, Vaporeon. What originally started as a small project quickly bloomed into one of my biggest and best movesets to date, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Vaporeon really is the best Eeveelution, though, it's not even close.

This is so amazing!!! Vaporeon is my favourite water angel! You explain everything so well, and all the little details entice me so much! If Vaporeon was a playable character like this, I'd get the game just to play as her! 💙
I absolutely love this moveset, it does not only feel like a well designed representation of a eveelution but also a great way of how implement water based fighters in a platform fighter. many of the characters that use water attacks in smash allways felt like something was missing in them, although i could not point my finger on why it didn't feel right but after seeing your video and how you manage to actually came up with fun and unique moves that make good use on the concept of water banding like the aerials, smash attacks and HW down tilt and dash attack are all amazing and also at same time feel powerful. Amazing!

I like how this movesets shows how dangerous water and ice can be, unlike the current Smash roster (Mario, Squirtle, Greninja, Ice Climber, and Sora) who use it mostly as pushback for little damage with water, or just a way to freeze opponents. Greninja is the only one who kinda doesn't do this with their Smash attacks, but that's really it. So seeing a different take on these kinda underused but still commonly support role it usually has
I love how much representation Vaporeon's similar composition to water got here. They'd be the most beautiful character by far to watch in battle, and a ditto match would be pure eye candy. Combine that with how much interaction there is between their special moves, and you've got a character that's satisfying both to watch and to play at high levels.

For my defence of Vaporeon's heavyweight, it's her special attacks / range strategy, high HP stat and Acid Armour by levelling up.

Yes, you can hit the bubble when she's standing on top of it, it'll just push the bubble a shorter distance to account for the extra weight.

Here is a question, can you choose which water state you start with like with Pyra and Mytha ?
Yes, you can choose which one you want to start with on the character select screen, much like you can with Aegis and the Pokemon Trainer.

Don't even. Vaporeon was a playable character in the old fangame Super Smash Land. That game calls Vaporeon a 'she'. He probably took inspiration from there. Especially considering the creator of that game went on to make Rivals of Aether.
