Question about acute treatment: in the absence of a vascular emergency, are you always getting imaging prior to shoulder reduction just in case there is a bony bankart for example? Or, if a facility doesn’t have imaging available, are you reducing the shoulder on site and then transporting for imaging at a hospital? Or just reducing the shoulder regardless of options?

True in a perfect world but a certain amount of players make it into the league on their raw athleticism and hustle and can’t coordinate ball handling and footwork well enough. Randle shoots left so hopefully it was one of those pop it back in rest and get the rotation going again. I saw someone popped his shoulder playing soccer and the grown man was crying like a baby. The initial sting is painful when joint move. The muscle around the shoulder is compromised.

randle wont be the same till he has surgery. siakam had the same injury in the bubble and wasnt the same during the season. he only got back to normal after his surgery in summer following.

Man... every time the Knicks play the heat somebody gets hurt. Look at last yeae... multiple injuries against them in the regular season and playoffs. Randles, Brunson, Grimes, and Hart (maybe others) all got hurt playing against this team. Bam is a dirty player!! Anyways, I love your videos. Knicks fan since 91 and the first thing I did shortly after watching this injury live was look for your video!!

How much does all that muscle help or hurt Randle in terms of potential severity of the injury or with his recovery? Compared to say Steph who let’s just say doesn’t spend much time in the gym compared to Julius.

Could it just be a dislocated shoulder without any labrum tear or fracture?

I thought it was for sure just dislocated cause you see the knicks trainer trying to push it back in and i think thats what the X-ray showed but I guess we gotta wait and see after the other test results

randle is done, if they rehab it and let him play through pain, he wont be able to finish at the rim or shoot well. look at siakam and his labrum tear in the bubble and how effective he was during the season. he had his surgery in the summer.

I had a torn labrum that I got by playing football and a so called “Hans Sachs” lession, shoulder injuries are never fun and I had chronic shoulder instability untill my surgery and the full recovery is 5-6 months so yeah he might try and play but being more realistic, he should go do the surgery to think about his career in the long run..
