Only standard tires fit on standard cars. For the police truck and the ambulance you need heavy duty tires. You won't need any magazines or books as far as I know to work on vehicles...it'll just be a grind. Your plants will stay watered for several days between watering. You should need windows for your greenhouse. Plants don't do well without light. Also planting crops close to each other will transfer disease to other crops
I love how self-taught of disasembling furniture carpenter with no mechanic knowledge and who can't read can with up to 1% precision evaluate the status of all car parts from engine to swingarms, where i with some knowledge and after reading few books about car maintnance still can't figured out where the suspension knocks... xDDD

You can get some mechanics experience by repairing your car trunk with duct tape. Swapping tires also works for some as well. Later on repairing brakes and swapping headlights are the best way to grind out the first few levels
Ah yeah - My friend Jack tipped me off to this when Ghul King did it with cabbages in a previous series. A bit of googling yields few results, so it's still a bit of an experiment for me in learning tbh ^.^
I thought that they either didn't grow [to maturity] at all without sunlight or grew very poorly. I'm guessing it's the latter then, but maybe even that is somehow wrong. Wiki specifically said that they need sunlight as far as I recall.
Cars are definitely something that needs to be looked at in this game. You start in a normal world so most cars would still be in good working order but no, you take a good condition car, drive it for 5 mins and it's shafted. 🤣. Absolutely loving this series though. Thanks. 👍

You can access the ambulance middle seats at the side of the car when the rear door is opened. You can find pre-made traps in the trunk of ranger cars and trucks.
Well specifically, this is related to the hemophilia negative traits. I found this one out accidentally, and even ended up intentionally killing off a character i had spent about 3 weeks on out of pure annoyance of it. I picked the trait because I thought, "well I don't plan on taking hits anyway, and even if I do, I'm not healing in the middle of fighting a horde so who cares how panicked i get." The problem is that the character is afraid of all blood, not just healing and not just their own blood. So the second you kill one zombie and splatter any blood on you, you start to get the nervous wreck again. And then eventually that turns into depression. So really it only causes one negative moodlet (nervous wreck) but because constantly cleaning everything is realistically impossible, you basically end up with two (+depression) permanently.
You can grow crops outdoors during the winter, just keep them watered properly and the cold barely does anything to them. Also, carrots and radishes can be overwatered.
cold slows down the growth, that's all so it's better to do it inside because it's warmer and you still need to water them even outside since snow is not considered as rain

There is this Spanish guy, who i think you know already, named Ditoseadio, who had the absolute best mechanic hack!!! He took the radio lightbulbs, he had 87! and switched them in order, thru the 4 spots on a car. got 2 mech levels! I dont know how many light bulbs you have but you can do it! need 75 for first and 150 for second. get .75 per light change. you have 2 or 3 cars close to you. do it daily til you get 2 mech and then you can hotwire a fine piece of american road iron!!!! Try cleaning your nasty, worm eating, blood encrusted, ass and clothes. You have blood on you now and you get anxious and depressed. clean yourself. get rid of bloody clothes in your vicinity, it will clear up. Good job on the hot house. proud of you man!

You should start leveling up mechanics soon, cause it is a real pain, as you can only do every action to a car once per day for exp. To farm mechanic-exp I de- and reconstruct radio, batterie and all 4 lights. Those items don't wear out by replacing them. I get around 2.1 EXP per car. You might want to get some of those bad cars to your farm to play with them. If you really think heat has an influence on crops, maybe you will put your cabbage around a campfire outside. This way you don't need to water them while it's raining. You should be able to build a composter, where you can store your worms and rotten berries. (Needs to be build outside).
Thanks for the tips! I might try some of this experimenting with crops, and that daily car XP sounds interesting. I had thought it was once overall, though this increases the incentive to bring back a couple cars into one area. This character might be able to live for years if we could figure out the car situation now that you mention it.
@@ambiguousamphibian Another thing: carbage will rott faster than you can eat it, so don't save it - fill up. I got a strong feeling, that salats last longer than unprepared food. Stock up on every bowl you can find ;D
If you tear up so many containers... don't you give up future loot respawns? Unless you have loot respawns disabled, wouldn't it be better to exclusively destroy furniture rather than containers?

"okay let's figure out what's wrong with this car" **opens the hood, every parts are red and blinking** "hmm" Don't mind too much stress, just smoke once you reach the last stress level before you get depressed and you'll be fine also don't sleep stressed you could wake up from nightmares And put your cigarettes in your main inventory, it's so light it won't bother you You should use knives with this character, tiredness and exhaustion don't impact the stabbing animation , you just have to hit once the zombie to "stun it" then approach it more and attack again to stab its jaw
Pro tip as I aren't sure if you're aware, if you click the top thing in your inventory and then hold shift and tap the bottom it'll highlight everything, so you dont have to do that weird select all with the box, ontop of that if you then hold control it'll NOT remove whatever you click on, also without doing the shift thing if you just hold control and tap on things you will only highlight them to be transferred through inventory etc, it seems a lot easier than what you're currently doing, other than that keep up the good work.

However, it is okay to roll on a leaking tire, at least to get yourself out of the street to change it. It already has a hole in it, it will need to be repaired or replaced anyway. Fun fact, where I live, you are legally required to have a spare tire with you, a law most people ignore.

it wouldn't change anything, it's not really in-depth on this aspect, if the game considers it as an interior then it gets interior temperature, even if there is a big hole the temperature stays the same
rightclick on weapon>Equip in slot (back,left,right)> Have lowered weight of those items. Use full for fast changing of the weapons and carrying more than you supposed to. :3
You should be able to use the car as a trap/red herring. Honk and drive and attract a bunch, then park and wedge a plank onto the horn and sneak away while the car screams until the battery dies.

I think that when the car you are driving is in poor condition or stalls out, operating it causes some anxiety. Normally its not too bad but poor worm man is such a basket case it probably doesnt take much to freak him out

I thought you need to leave 2 spaces between crops to stop plant disease from spreading. At low skill levels you’ll see more disease too. So the way you set it up, you could just as well have used every tilled square. No need to use a knight’s jump, just have the crops arranged like you have, just spread out more so that you have 2 squares between every planted crop.

also there are ways to combat the plant disease by crafting mildew spray (milk/rotten milk + gardening spray can) or insecticide spray (gardening spray can + water + x5 cigarettes)

After his first harvest, he can redesign his pattern, so that it's not such a big of a deal. After some turns he will have more than enough seeds to loose some of his yield or can affort to not wait for seed-bearing state.

@@ambiguousamphibian to my knowledge having the right amount of tire pressure will increase friction and add less wear to the tires, but overinflating tires will make them pop way easier and I believe have a low tire pressure will put more strain on the tires condition

You need potatoes for calories , lots of potatoes per meal , and you absolutely must not run , you need to save your calories and make the least amount of work possible. Potatoes last the longest without refrigeration .
you should shuttle all the cars you can back to your base so you have access to metals and parts to make a few that work well ... and the rest can become walls

I want to thank you for all the tips this series has provided me, I know you are learning alot on your own but this is an invaluable experience that Im not willing to go through (that slowness in gameplay would kill me on its own) and Im really glad someone else has.
I don't really know much about Project Zomboid, but could the agoraphobia/claustrophobia be causing the extra stress? Maybe instead of causing panic like it used to, it just stresses Worm Man out a bit to be inside/outside.
just thought id comment this before watching as i just found out, you can also use Cleaning liquid to clean your clothes with not only with soap. and you should realy pick outdoorsman (for a next character ofc), only 2 points and u are imune to the weather. im gonna test if you can clean your clothes in the rain since you wont get sick from it lol
Sadly you need some sort of soap or cleaning liquid to wash your clothes. I think only the washing machine will not use soap, but I am not quite shure. Anyways, to use a washing machine, he needs to set up a generator, which needs electronics lvl 3 - really hard to get without books and buffs.

You should do a Woodsman playthrough, where you have only a tent and the bare essentials to get started in the woods

If you tear up so many containers... don't you give up future loot respawns? Unless you have loot respawns disabled, wouldn't it be better to exclusively destroy furniture rather than containers?
Good point! I'd not considered this, though I think under the default settings it may respawn. May use this!

I like to disable loot respawn to force exploration.

Don't mind too much stress, just smoke once you reach the last stress level before you get depressed and you'll be fine also don't sleep stressed you could wake up from nightmares
And put your cigarettes in your main inventory, it's so light it won't bother you
You should use knives with this character, tiredness and exhaustion don't impact the stabbing animation , you just have to hit once the zombie to "stun it" then approach it more and attack again to stab its jaw
Pro tip as I aren't sure if you're aware, if you click the top thing in your inventory and then hold shift and tap the bottom it'll highlight everything, so you dont have to do that weird select all with the box, ontop of that if you then hold control it'll NOT remove whatever you click on, also without doing the shift thing if you just hold control and tap on things you will only highlight them to be transferred through inventory etc, it seems a lot easier than what you're currently doing, other than that keep up the good work.

However, it is okay to roll on a leaking tire, at least to get yourself out of the street to change it. It already has a hole in it, it will need to be repaired or replaced anyway. Fun fact, where I live, you are legally required to have a spare tire with you, a law most people ignore.
I have no idea how this game works, i never even watched it before the glorious worm-man but seeing how in-depth is everything having a second layer of walls around the greenhouse may increase the efficiency of heating.
it wouldn't change anything, it's not really in-depth on this aspect, if the game considers it as an interior then it gets interior temperature, even if there is a big hole the temperature stays the same
rightclick on weapon>Equip in slot (back,left,right)> Have lowered weight of those items. Use full for fast changing of the weapons and carrying more than you supposed to. :3
You should be able to use the car as a trap/red herring. Honk and drive and attract a bunch, then park and wedge a plank onto the horn and sneak away while the car screams until the battery dies.

You can use the extra seats on the ambulance, but since your character has to get out to get to them, you can't switch seats while driving.

crops don't die in winter, been farming all winter long, with heavy snow/snowstorm and my crops are alive and healthy, it only slows production
I think that when the car you are driving is in poor condition or stalls out, operating it causes some anxiety. Normally its not too bad but poor worm man is such a basket case it probably doesnt take much to freak him out
Even with Sunday Driver he seems to hit every pothole in sight Xp id have run it to the rims, ps i like your speed edits much nicer than full cuts and silly high pitch zombie stomp fests lol
For the smoker trait, just smoke 3 cigs a day and ur character won’t get sad unless you do it too early in the morning
I thought you need to leave 2 spaces between crops to stop plant disease from spreading. At low skill levels you’ll see more disease too. So the way you set it up, you could just as well have used every tilled square. No need to use a knight’s jump, just have the crops arranged like you have, just spread out more so that you have 2 squares between every planted crop.

also there are ways to combat the plant disease by crafting mildew spray (milk/rotten milk + gardening spray can) or insecticide spray (gardening spray can + water + x5 cigarettes)

You need to read the farming magazine. Leveling farming just gives you more and better information about your plant plus a healthbonus to your plants.

@@beaverman1974 Yeah, I am totally on board with that illiterate trait. But a disease does not necessary mean, that you can't get any vegetables. After his first harvest, he can redesign his pattern, so that it's not such a big of a deal. After some turns he will have more than enough seeds to loose some of his yield or can affort to not wait for seed-bearing state.

@@ambiguousamphibian to my knowledge having the right amount of tire pressure will increase friction and add less wear to the tires, but overinflating tires will make them pop way easier and I believe have a low tire pressure will put more strain on the tires condition
And yes low tire pressure is more prone to bursting
trucks/utes and vans should use the same tires as the ambulance. I pilfered some from an ambulance for a van that was running in my most recent save

You need potatoes for calories , lots of potatoes per meal , and you absolutely must not run , you need to save your calories and make the least amount of work possible.

@@ambiguousamphibian OK so I switched and MY GOD. the game is 1000x harder, I was semi impressed with your playthrough before but now I am blown away, you are surviving better than me with basically the same traits as anakin skywalker after his obi wan fight at the lava. I want to thank you for all the tips this series has provided me, I know you are learning alot on your own but this is an invaluable experience that Im not willing to go through (that slowness in gameplay would kill me on its own) and Im really glad someone else has.

I don't really know much about Project Zomboid, but could the agoraphobia/claustrophobia be causing the extra stress? Maybe instead of causing panic like it used to, it just stresses Worm Man out a bit to be inside/outside.
just thought id comment this before watching as i just found out, you can also use Cleaning liquid to clean your clothes with not only with soap. and you should realy pick outdoorsman (for a next character ofc), only 2 points and u are imune to the weather. im gonna test if you can clean your clothes in the rain since you wont get sick from it lol
He is playing ALL NEGATIVE traits so he can´t choose outdoorsman which is obviously a positive trait.

Sadly you need some sort of soap or cleaning liquid to wash your clothes. I think only the washing machine will not use soap, but I am not quite shure. Anyways, to use a washing machine, he needs to set up a generator, which needs electronics lvl 3 - really hard to get without books and buffs.
Hans Clah a much bigger hurdle on generators is that an illiterate character can’t read the how to use generators magazine
@@chardonnay5767 You don't need to read the generator magazine, as long as you are lvl 3+ electronics, you can use them. (You will need a lot of gasoline, though).
