I've find some awesome tips while playing today :D Clothing stores often have military clothes on their mannequins and a wood axe does as much damage as a sledgehammer, but takes relatively little energy to swing. Imo the wood axe is even better at killing hordes than the regular axe was in previous builds, at least with low levels. When using the axe you should move at least a bit before you swing, that way you can keep moving backwards. If you swing before you move you will be stuck in place until the animation ends. Being tired does lessen the effectiveness of the wood axe though, but you can usually kill in 3-5 hits if tired and hit multiple enemies at once. What I found to be effective for a large group was to constantly hop fences and get to kill 4 zombies in one swing when they all fell close to each other. I think I killed a little over 20 this way :D
Exactly what I've noticed, but for whatever reason I have this weird bug with axe swapping... When I broke my axe I had only sledgehammer with me, so I swapped to it and started kiting the horde again, I noticed as some were transforming into crawlers one of the zombies was stuck in a falling animation. Whenever I've hit him I've gained xp but he couldn't die. After few days I've turned the game on again and this zombie was standing there like nothing happend to him... again when I was chopping some wood a gunshot made a huge horde go towards me so again I started chopping zombies down instead of trees and as I broke my axe and swapped to sledgehammer again, one of the zombies (I think it is the first I hit with the sledgehammer but can't say for sure) got stuck in the falling antimation. challenge: max zombies and max respawns. the Hordes that spawn are amazing, and it's amazing having to weave in and out of these massive hordes. Staying quiet is definitely the only way to surivive this challenge. When you piss them all off or have to run through a neighborhood, there's just always more and more zombies until the streets are packed. It's crazy fun, trust me. Even if you only do it as a live stream.
The pickup truck looked like it worked. It just had an empty fuel gauge when you put the key in. So if you can refuel it safely you should be able to drive it... well I wouldn't say home with all the saplings there, but close enough.
the biggest issue with this challenge is that you have to spend sooo much time just getting the dude into a barely stable state that by the time you can do even the slightest activity you're still screwed. plus getting the cold didn't help too much either lol
Haha, that's what makes it interesting for me :p Though I honestly think it's made me feel superhuman playing as any character with a normal amount of trait points, and I've also figured out which traits are not so debilitating and can be used toward better ones for future characters. Oddly enough though, there are certain things this character can do without much problem, like cut down a forest, or go on a foraging marathon, and I feel like it's a matter of spending most of the time doing those things and far less time fighting zombies and looting than I would in a normal playthrough
Indeed 'Goat - It made me realize that you can exploit the second where they stop to do a lunge animation and lose them there. This work for you? I suppose doors would be a more ideal solution tho, eh?

first of all: should've used the tissues to raid Second: That truck/ute is missing fuel. You don't need to turn a car on to see the fuel, just have the key in the ignition
few additional perks they could add is temp based. Both good and negative from both high and low temps. For low temp it could be negative based on the temp and so on. Example. Negative 2 points below -20C You get cold easier and need to eat more, hunger goes down faster and you move slower. Negative 4 points below 0C -//- Negative 2 points above 30c You need to drink more often and your character runs out of stamina faster Negative 4 points above 20c -//- Something like that and then the positives where if it is above sertain temp you gain penefits like "you don't heat up as much" or "cold does not effect you that much" and so on :D
Being followed by 50 zombies, calmly walking or running down a road visible to every zombie miles around "I should use a tissue, don't want this cold attracting zombies"
I have to say...I am quite impress with you Ambiguousamphibian, usually in your Project Zomboid series you die a bit...faster?but oh man you proved me wrong Olso,Worm Man made quite the progress from eating worms to planing ‘green house’ to eating vegetables but that cold tho....
I would have figured you'd loose the smoking addiction quicker that not being claustrophobic or agoraphobic...unless you have a cheeky cig now and then when we are not looking ;)
You can have the indicator be over their head, but still be too close to the head with your metal bar. it's considered a long blunt weapon, so from what I can gather, you'd be banging the ground at 33:10. Take a step back and stand on their chest so that the end of the pipe is contacting their head. Then put the indicator on their head and see different results.
As far as I know the targetter doesn't have to be over the head as long as you're hitting at the max range. It just has to be along the path that would intersect with the head. However if you are too short range (stomp) or too long range (head is too close) then you would need to put the targetter right on top of the head
It's actually better to have crops outside rather than inside, even during the winter. The sun does way more for the plant's health than the cold does against it, but the cold affects the crops whether they're inside or outside, as the game calculates it based on outside temperature. Even then it supposedly has to get below 10 degrees to have any effect, which in my testing didn't happen often. As one test to verify however, I planted three crops, one indoors and two outdoors (all during winter). I didn't water the one inside, and one of the ones outside, but watered the third one that was also outside. The unwatered one outside maintained it's healthy state while the one inside went sickly. The watered one outside grew and flourished much like it would have during any other season and harvested just fine.
Well done! I would immediately start planting. But.. only one field per 1day so you can harvest one field per day too. You can use the upper window of the farm to get on the roof and expand it. Mean you can build a greenhouse with roof without having carp lv6
I understand what you meant but just the idea that a man running in fear in a zombie apocalypse is like, a perfectly intact ambulance, oh wait for theres a dent in it, nope!.. just thought that was funny
If you want to break a window just right click and select smash window. it takes longer just swining at it with your pipe and it takes away durability i think :p Also you missed a lighter in one of those cars you were checking when u were in a hurry lol
I hate to say it but I remember seeing lots of seeds back at McCoy while worm man was there. Probably not a great idea but it's good to have options in a pinch.
Yo Long time no see, just watched the previous videos and ya doing good with this character. Just wanted to let you know that you should store enough water, cuz I think over the winter the well might be frozen. And also carrots and reddish are great food to grow indoors and also only need 40% water ( not more or your crops will die ) btw I'm not sure but over winter you can store your food outside to keep them cool. At least I would expect this mechanic
As someone that went cold turkey almost 9 years ago, after 30 days the want for a cigarette isn't that strong anymore. And i was a 2 pack a day smoker.

Staying quiet is definitely the only way to surivive this challenge. When you piss them all off or have to run through a neighborhood, there's just always more and more zombies until the streets are packed. It's crazy fun, trust me. Even if you only do it as a live stream.
Goodness I love this series. It's my favourite I've watched on all of UA-cam in a long time.
Good job. Hope this guy makes it until the end.
I really think that your running attracts more attention than the cold. Sneak until you're spotted and crouch/jog to sneak away without agro to others
Imagine needing multiple swings to break a window with a length of 1" metal pipe.
Your videos help me battle the depression within. Keep up the amazing work.
That slow exhausted walk in the forest was heart wrenching. It happend to me too, and i just escaped by entering a shed..
Indeed 'Goat - It made me realize that you can exploit the second where they stop to do a lunge animation and lose them there. This work for you? I suppose doors would be a more ideal solution tho, eh?
@@ambiguousamphibian Aye, they go through the grabbing animation but stand still while doing so. I eventually stumbled upon a shed and did the good old door trick to seperate the zeds from each other.
Thinking back, that door had a high chance of being locked, so i really lucked out there.
This series is so interesting, please keep making these episodes!!
"Full to bursting with worms" is not a phrase I wanted to hear today.
Just want to say thank you, because I see how much of an effort you’ve put in these videos. Especially you burden yourself with adjusting video speed at some useless moments in terms of gameplay. Good dedication.
Also, I discovered you through recommended section, if it matters.
I was thinking "surely the walls of the house offer better insulation than the plank walls Worm Man can build".
But then I remembered that, no, these are American houses. Built of cotton candy, and resting on a foundation of hope.
Also, it's AGORAphobia.
AA keeps "correcting" himself to say the wrong thing.
It's a word derived from Greek, and in that context, an agora is an open space. Specifically, it is the market square/communal space in the center of a town.
You:"Bad luck doesn't affect anything"
Me: *Somehow gets a scratch when no zombies were anywhere near him, gets infected and dies after having almost a perfect start*
14:35 you missed a lighter, and the tape and flashlight would probably come in handy too. For when you go back.
I'm pretty sure you can cook TV dinners completely in campfires and in antique ovens. I think ovens are safer for cooking them
I used to be exited for this game a long time ago but then there was some hacking accident for the developers and it went quiet. I didnt expect it to turn out so amazing after that! Thanks to you I rediscovered it :) will propably buy soon
Anyone else see the lighter in the first car?
You don't need to defecate in this game, all the live worms you've been eating live in your gut and eat your food once digested.
first of all: should've used the tissues to raid
Second: That truck/ute is missing fuel. You don't need to turn a car on to see the fuel, just have the key in the ignition
27:37 worm man 2019
Go to town during a rainstorm! Muffles the sound of coughing ;)
few additional perks they could add is temp based. Both good and negative from both high and low temps. For low temp it could be negative based on the temp and so on.
Example.
Negative 2 points below -20C You get cold easier and need to eat more, hunger goes down faster and you move slower.
Negative 4 points below 0C -//-
Negative 2 points above 30c You need to drink more often and your character runs out of stamina faster
Negative 4 points above 20c -//-
Something like that and then the positives where if it is above sertain temp you gain penefits like "you don't heat up as much" or "cold does not effect you that much" and so on :D
Maybe he'll get to be like one punch man some day.
I'm just a hero for fun who eats worms for fun
@@ambiguousamphibian one munch man.
🎶 These boots were made for walkin', walkin' away from you 🎶
I don't know why I got recommended your videos but I'm glad I did. I'm mad intrigued with this game now
Being followed by 50 zombies, calmly walking or running down a road visible to every zombie miles around "I should use a tissue, don't want this cold attracting zombies"
Been refreshing your page all day for this!
“I couldn’t get it started to see if it has gas in it” meanwhile the gas gauge clearly shows no gas
I have to say...I am quite impress with you Ambiguousamphibian, usually in your Project Zomboid series you die a bit...faster?but oh man you proved me wrong
Olso,Worm Man made quite the progress from eating worms to planing ‘green house’ to eating vegetables but that cold tho....
I would have figured you'd loose the smoking addiction quicker that not being claustrophobic or agoraphobic...unless you have a cheeky cig now and then when we are not looking ;)
damn that powerwalk in the woods got me sweating
You can have the indicator be over their head, but still be too close to the head with your metal bar. it's considered a long blunt weapon, so from what I can gather, you'd be banging the ground at 33:10. Take a step back and stand on their chest so that the end of the pipe is contacting their head. Then put the indicator on their head and see different results.
As far as I know the targetter doesn't have to be over the head as long as you're hitting at the max range. It just has to be along the path that would intersect with the head.
However if you are too short range (stomp) or too long range (head is too close) then you would need to put the targetter right on top of the head
This sounds about right to me - trying to think of how to design a controlled experiment to confirm
this series is effectivly helping me stay alive in PZ
Around 30:10 in, I understood what you meant. It's better to be safe than sorry most times.
I wish you and worm-man luck! Even though he has the bad luck trait I still wish good luck on him!
Carry the stove in hands is lighter than in backpack...gotta love PZ
This man is too good at this game.
Potato stew with a side of worms for dinner? Sounds delicious
"Why am I running?"
I ask myself that everyday.
I vote for a Mr. Rogers look if you go for an after-work outfit. Red sweater, tan or white pants, white sneakers.
Me: "Let's watch this Ambiguousamphibian video."
20 Pound Crate Of Salt In The Corner Of My Room: "Fuck."
Bro I cracked up when you said “I don’t wanna die from eating a bad TV dinner” 😂😭
I just realized that worms are the Rabbit Starvation of Zomboid
worn man will have night time PJ's long johns and boots.
you can see how much gas is in the tank when you're starting it i believe
I think you're right - but isn't it after you've started the car, or is it before?
When the lighter he was looking for was in the car he hopped in and out of, at the car park, in the town.
Wormman picking up a oven and equipping it should be op
I'm expecting a weabo, katana wearlder, fedora tipping morbidly obese character that has the dream to survive the z-apocalips and get a loli harem.
23:50 don't forget to check the trunks!
As someone that went cold turkey almost 9 years ago, after 30 days the want for a cigarette isn't that strong anymore. And i was a 2 pack a day smoker.
Ah yes, Agro-agora-phobia - Also known as " I am literally afraid of life. "
I think its good you dont defecate. I dread to find out what the stool of the Worm Man would be
you was talking about trying to not fall off when building..i wish there was a button that would keep you from walking off edges..like minecraft..you hold shift and you can't walk off edges...project zomboid could use something like that.
Is fire via molotov cocktails a way to clear large hordes? i haven't tried it yet (cant find a single whiskey bottle this playthrough) but it just seems like the more and denser the horde the more effective the fire would be.
It def works - that's true, though it often burns down everything you may have wanted to scavenge/loot in the game
@@ambiguousamphibian sometimes we have to do things we regret out of necessity and that's why we don't have nice things.
w o r m god is pleased
Worm Man looks like Obi Wan now
Huh, love me a good Star Wars reference - I'm down with that - if only he had a lightsaber now...
Weirdly 30 days without a cigarette you would have kicked the habit irl.
I always turn off respawning and play in a sandbox cuz I hate clearing a neighborhood and then 3 days later it'll full of zombies again
