He dead Ran off road because of hazardous road conditions+panik from hordes, hit tree, airbag deployed late so ither died instantly or passed out and the horde gobbled him up
The helicopter is a random PZ event that can bring a massive zombie horde to where it's localized at. (They follow sources of noise.) It often happens around the 6 day mark, though sometimes it comes later. Usually the helicopter only hovers over areas it sees activity - though it'll follow you directly if you wander around outside while it's active. In this case, it's hard to say why it decided to hover over AA's shelter - could be something cut from the actual video, or it might just be really bad luck. Either way, it brought a horde that was way too big for his fortifications or his ability to fight, and if he hadn't fled when he did, he could've easily been trapped and overrun there. 'The folly of his ways' likely refers to the fact that he thought he could afford to stop being paranoid due to fortifications that would make his safehouse safe from the occasional zombie or wandering cluster of undead, when they weren't remotely sufficient for a full-scale horde the likes of which PZ threw at him almost as soon as he'd finished wasting time on measures that wouldn't be nearly enough to protect him for what was to come.

This is honestly a masterpiece, the atmosphere just makes each part intriguing
That has to be one of the best and climatic video I've ever watched. Not only the narration was god tier, the climate and way of video editing let alone were simply amazing. Only downside is that it's only 14 minutes long
I always had trouble sleeping. But this mans voice is so good and his way with words always put me in a soothing safe place. I always have to rewatch the video the next day to see how it ends.
I had to keep rewinding because I couldn't believe how eloquent and beautiful your script was. Your writing and narrating skills are on another level, you have talent man
these videos are so calming and soothing, i've fallen asleep a few times when watching these (including this one)
I was watching this video and then duty called and I had to do my makeup, I look away from my phone to pay attention to my face and then I realized wtf I feel like I’m listening to a fire audiobook, this is beautiful.
Oh man I hope we get this as a series during all of winter!
These vids are still the best. Your other challenges are fun, but you create a story here, it’s really great to watch.
I’d want AA to narrate a week in my life
I like that your including some of the melee and zombie sound effects with the narration, it's a nice touch. Great video as always.
Everything up to the end was really relaxing, had a warm feeling to it
I'll never get enough of your narratives and that sweet, buttery voice.
I hope this becomes an ongoing series I'd love to see how this series would play out.
This is the ideal UA-cam video. You may not like it, but this is what peak writing and editing looks like.
Still the amphibian's best video to date, in my opinion. Shame that such a great work met this level of anticlimactic end 😂
Your voice and the narration of your videos for project zomboid, always keeps me coming back to your channel. Keep it up!
Love it! We are with you, AA! Spin us a yarn.
I picture the character sitting back in a chair in front of the fireplace... day number 10000... telling back this story with this beautiful calming voice, pipe in hand and a piping hot cup of joe.
Mr Amphibian, your Project Zomboid Philosophy videos are the only ones I watch at Normal speed instead of 1.5X speed. Some things in life are meant to be savoured.
I love the universe that's created here. Those random guys fighting their way through the same destroyed world. The voice, the stories. Always the same, yet different every time. This is art
Dude, your monologues are so good that I keep including them as Easter eggs in notebooks and as sheets of paper from long gone survivors in my Outbreak: Undead Campaign
I need more of you narrating. It's soooo good like reading a tale before bed. You seriously help me sleep and chill
It’s always a good day when there is an AA vid drop. Thanks for your content homie. Your philosophical insights are always soothing :)
you my man surpassed the others youtubers because most bring us entreteriment but you you bring a experience that only you can with your voice and narration i feel things i would never imagine i would think watching a youtube video this isn't just a video this is special...
I’ve been expecting this. Very cool UA-camr. You deserve more fame ❤️
It's funny seeing you walk through buildings that have no significance to your story that hold memories of some of my final moments. I remember smoking my last cigarette after an unfortunate bite in a small house you stayed in briefly. Very good video, thanks.
AA: "I survived in Project Zomboid in a world whose flame went extinguished."
My brain: *plin plin plon*
Made my day better
@@Cink1973 Happy to help.
Watching this while taking shelter from the rain adding it's own atmosphere. Very well done good sir!
Dope vid, as this ever continued? cant seem to find a playlist or anything for it.
I think it’s implied the character dies at the end, and since it’s not labeled as pt1
I would 100% love to see another of this. The narration is actually really nice. I could easily use it as like a story to listen to while trying to sleep.
Im not sure I want as much editing all the time, but I REALLY loved the “camera” work in this video.
I really liked the way you did this video. It was a little different from usual with the close-ups and a touch less waxing poetic (but still there, of course) but I liked it a lot! I enjoyed seeing step-by-step how you built up supplies and made it further than I ever would have lol
Just write a zombie survival novel already
When the zombie apocalypse reaches Siberia
you get the sterne seal of approval. you have a great breadth of literature, of poesy, of philosophy and an exceptional fund of wit. you are an unabashed man who takes folly without chagrin, and i applaud you, i give you the thumbs of approval, i give you all that i really can, not admiration, but recognition. it is a niche that i would fain carve out myself, but i am too irritable, grim, cruel. i am glad you succeed where i would fail. you represent a proof of form, and it is fulfilling.
I know these don’t usually get sequels but after that crash at the end I want to know what happened to him after.
He dead
Ran off road because of hazardous road conditions+panik from hordes, hit tree, airbag deployed late so ither died instantly or passed out and the horde gobbled him up
The story telling on these videos is absolutely top tier!
So what actually happened at the end there? It sounded like a helicopter, but I don’t understand how that’s the folly of his ways
Sometimes ambient sounds like helicopters or gunshots will happen and make the hordes move around.
The helicopter is basically a death sentence to anyone not prepared as its not there to help you, instead just attracts the hordes as you see
The helicopter is a random PZ event that can bring a massive zombie horde to where it's localized at.
'The folly of his ways' likely refers to the fact that he thought he could afford to stop being paranoid due to fortifications that would make his safehouse safe from the occasional zombie or wandering cluster of undead, when they weren't remotely sufficient for a full-scale horde the likes of which PZ threw at him almost as soon as he'd finished wasting time on measures that wouldn't be nearly enough to protect him for what was to come.
i think the folly is just that he opened the curtains, revealing his position
This was literally the most poetic video I've ever seen, made me rethink my life
