こんにちはたらさん!I've been a Feldenkrais follower for a long time. It has so much wisdom and common sense combined. I used to follow the Alfons videos. Think Alfons is Austrian. Hip mobility ヴィデオはおもしろくてやくにたつです。どもありがとうございました。Jakob
I came across your videos & have started doing some of the exercises. I can't thank you enough, have helped me so much with loosing up my hips & lower back.
In doing the hip mobility exercises I realized I have issues with my knees 😳 which I didn’t realize before .. so now I’ll be doing knee exercises as well .. thank you for your videos.. life changing and I appreciate that.
I just found this segment this morning as I was looking for morning Feldenkrais before getting out of bed. This lesson was beautiful and has released several tension points in my body that I was experiencing. Thank you so much for this short but effective routine.
Really enjoyed this. Used it as a break from sitting at my desk for work. This routine really restored my mobility and got me feeling good after a long sit. Thank you!
That was fantastic! Lyme disease that is causing severe cramping in my left hip joint so much so that my left leg is about 1 1/2 inches shorter than the right. This sequence was very tough on the left side, easy on the right. Thank you! Will be practicing with you daily!
That last move does look very fluid, but it is challenging! Overall, great movements to help with mobility. I sit for most of the day for work, so these movements will help keep the hip joints mobile and loose! Can you please make some videos for folks who sit for work and need gentle stretches to end the day and loosen up?
@@TaroIwamoto Hi, thank you for your reply! I am thinking of stretches people can do at the end of the day after sitting for long periods at a desk. I noticed that since I have been working from home, my psoas and hips are tight at the end of the day from long periods of being seated. Thanks!
I liked "thinking about the smoothness of the movement vs the stretch of the muscle". As an ex bodybuilder it's hard not to think about isolating muscle groups. Have you ever used any Alexander Techniques in your training style or focus on Feldenkrais?
I haven't studied Alexander Techniques, but I'm aware of some similiar principles in both Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais Method. My movement training and teaching are influenced by many movement studies including Feldenkrais Method,PT, Athletic Training, various martial arts (karate, judo, aikido, Tai Chi, others).
Taro, I just found your channel and did your two follow along hip routines. I have a chronically tight left psoas,ql, and glutes. Just curious if you have a hip routine that loosens up the left QL and glutes before moving into the hip mobility? If not, is this something you child possibly do a video for?? Thanks for all your generous video, Chris
unfortunately I don't offer one-on one sessions. However, I offer a zoom conlsultation to discuss their challenges/difficulties and see if I can point you to a right direction. If you'd like to schedule a zoom consultation, please visit my website and email me using the contact form.
Thank you, I love mobility exercises and have quite good mobility, flexibility, and strength. However I find exercises this this challenging (and a little frustrating) because I am larger, I have large breasts, a belly, shorter arms, and strong/thick legs which make grabbing my knee difficult. Do you have any suggestions for modifications?
you can try without holding your leg with hands. you can also try my other follow alongs. i am prettt sure you will find ones that work for you as I have many variations.

Thank you for all your work. It's very helpful🤗
It's a great way to get the hips moving! Thanks, Taro Iwamoto.
I found I could do the final move easily on one side, but couldn't seem to manage it properly on the other. Going to have to practice this one...
TY Taro. My hips like these 😊
My pleasure!
Thanks for video. Very helpful.

you mean movement routine at the end of day or while sitting during the day?

Thanks Taro this is a great set of movements. Would it be wrong to press into the shoulder to help lift the body up when rolled over?
that is fine, but i would also press foot to roll as lifting hip makes rolling much easier
Thank you for the clarification 👍
Much harder on left vs right. Seems like one to keep practicing.

Would you consider this a hip stretching or hip strengthening routine?
i would say more of stretching, but i consider it coordination exercise
@@TaroIwamoto thanks! Do you have any videos on hip flexor strengthening?
