Yeah I can't wait to get it. I'm really hoping that the US price is what I expect it to be because if it is this thing's going to really give the 3S typhon a run for its money
Yeah HRP pretty much always has coupons going. Between that and no tax or shipping it makes it a pretty good deal. Once you factor in tax I think it's actually cheaper than a 3S Typhon
For sure. It's available on hobby recreation products right now. 339 no tax after their coupon. That's going to be hard to beat unless there's something majorly wrong with this vehicle which I kind of doubt there will be
@@FullOnRC should be pretty much right away. HRP doesn't really do pre-orders in my experience so they have them in stock. If you buy it now it'll probably ship tomorrow
If you like it at 399 you'll love the fact that after the coupon that HRP always have it's actually only $339 and they don't charge tax or shipping :-)
@@DoRC I saw a comment saying these were cheaper in UK . I'm in Portugal , from US recently . How will the supply be out here ? Curious first time going after an RC here
@@robertsnow7352 talked to team Corally today the said the European shipment has been delayed the boat is at least 2 weeks out and it says on their website Europe will be be in April.
Was hoping for their first sct 😔 Tired of buggies and already have a upgraded 3s typhon and a radix6 so not really interested but still looks solid for sure
TomleyRC speed tested this at 41mph on 4S so the Typhon is way faster. Also Team Corally has released and discontinued so many RCs over the past few years I'd be really nervous about parts support in the future. Meanwhile Arrma keeps the same platform but just releases improved versions of it.
41 miles an hour on stock gearing isn't bad. I think the typhen only does 50 something on stock gearing. You could probably squeeze more out of it with gearing. Also pretty much all of the Corally bashers are all on the same platform as well. They share most of the same parts. This buggy has something like 80% common platform parts. Also what vehicles on this platform have they discontinued? I know they're phasing out the last generation of vehicles but again the latest generation of vehicles is just the last generation with a bunch of updates on a new name. It's very similar to how Arrma does things.
It feels like it has the potential to be a bad idea though if the replacement part isn't very expensive I guess it doesn't really matter. It doesn't take that much longer to replace a shock tower than it does a wing mount.
Corally took their 6s line and downgraded it to 4s with more cheaper parts but should be more durable versus arrma and traxxas who took their mega brushed lineup to brushless and then 4s . The mojave 4s is in a league of its own but the kraton 4s and the 3s are kinda meh. What bugs me is they cheaped on the axles of the 4s line when they had CVD machined ones for the v1 4s. It keeps lossing its pin and breaking the plastic outdrives And on the new v2.5 and 4s mojave they added a plastic cage around it... like just give us the proven CVD Axles you made for the 3s and 4s line. Same design but different lenghts.
I definitely think this is a step above the 3S Typhon in what you get. I do wish the 4S trucks had better CVDs but at least in my experience with the added rings to prevent debris from getting in between the CVD and the bulkhead the 4S trucks are pretty durable.
I think it just depends on what your definition of fast is. If you want to go 70 miles an hour no it probably won't do that but if you just want to do general bashing and hooning around it should be fine for that
That powdered steel crap sucks, and for a few pennies more they could have used good steel or alloy… they know that crap sucks just like we do… that and the shocks are a let down☹️… TC should know better… I’ll see if it can take you and 6s… then I’ll make a buying decision 👍🏼
Maybe they'll keep in mind at least as far as I can tell this is designed to compete with the 3S Typhon which has plastic pretty much everything so even sintered steel is a significant upgrade. Also sintered steel really isn't as bad as some people think it is. It's not as strong as a machined block of steel but it's really not that far off with modern production technology. In a fairly light vehicle like this on 4S I suspect it'll be just fine. Will it be just fine when I put 6s and big tires on it? We shall see :-)
Maybe. It really just depends on what you are expectations are. Buggies are pretty light and 1/8 scale buggies were run on 4S for many many years. I'm sure it won't do 70 miles an hour but I expect it to be fast enough for most general bashing
I'm referring to the 3S Typhon. I expect this to be fairly similarly priced to that after the pretty much perpetual coupons you can get on these. Given that it's the same size I expect it to be basically direct competition.
@@RcSpeedFreak-kk8wj yeah but I don't think it having more features makes it not competition it just makes it better. To me the type of vehicle size and price determine whether or not they're going to be competition and this is the same size and type of vehicle as the 3S type on and should be similarly priced.
Maybe though I think those tires are more of a proline Badland copy. I know the car seems like a copy but to be fair Arrma did not come up with the flat metal chassis four-wheel drive shaft driven center differential style design. That's been around since at least 2008 by my research. There are plenty of differences between the two though.
They even have 4 wheels! And a motor! How dare they copy from a company that completely carbon copied their whole first gen range from Tekno? When they even didn't? Colours? Are you aware that red has always been Corally colour for decades? Also Kyosho? Blaming one of the OG RC car manufacturers, in the business since 1986 only shows that you're probably one of, if not THE last survivors of the uneducated from the Arrma forums, completely defending their investments. Instead of realizing that the more competition the better for everyone. Good job.
I have just seen TomLeyRC video about this buggy and I am really excited to look at your thoughts about this car!😁

Well the 6S Hobao buggy have a simular price and it’s much stronger and have a outstanding parts quality. I would prefer the Hobao.

Here in Europe the price is 400€. The Typhon 3S is at 370-390€.
