Thank you! I have such a hard time with color. I got a brand new color wheel at Goodwill but wasn't sure how to use it. This video helped a lot!
Mostly I don't like what shows up in the colour wheel. I just hold a nice colour and walk along the rows holding it out and finding something that pleases my eye.

with so many Colours to choose from, it is easy to understand why some can be overwhelmed by this. so thank you for your Colour theory overview, what is your favorite Colour to knit with?
I have found myself unable to purchase yarn because I'm so confused by all the colors and afraid to ruin a project by choosing the wrong colors. Some of the newer varigated yarns also confuse me because I'm used to things that match and some these yarns have no reason to the color combo's. What are your thoughts on the new verigated yarn colors? Thanks for this helpful video!

How do you combine verigated yarns with other solid colours or other verigated yarns?
Pick a solid colour that shows up in the variegated
I only have a few colours which are
Pink
Yellow
green
Blue
Rred
pink and green (especially a lighter yellower green) should go well, otherwise red and a stronger green should match. so it sounds like not too many of those options are complimentary 😞
you should choose yarn color according to what project. if making winterworn items then use warmer darker colors. if making summerworn items then use cooler lighter colors.
I’m picking a color and then I have to pick 2 colors in contrast. I am so confused on that. You said pick to compliment but that’s not the same. Right? Thanks for your help.
Contrast and compliment is the same. Means the colors will pop. So pick your 1st color on one side of the wheel, then your 2nd color opposite of the 1st color, then your 3rd color next to the 2nd color. Does that make sense?
