This is a superb lesson in picking/choosing colors. No wonder you get irritated if you don’t have the shades in your yarnscape!!! Thank you for sharing this brilliant information. I like putting in a picture and the program pulls those colors out for you. Just lovely!!!!
Oh thank you so much, Chris Wippler! That is EXACTLY why I get irritated - some yarn I just can't use until it has a partner! ha ha ha! THANK YOU! 🌺🌻🌸
Christa!! You outdid yourself on this video!! That was a very cool, helpful lesson on choosing colors. Thanks for including the colorwheel websites. I think this "heap of the week" was my favorite so far. And the vintage goodies from Granny Ruth were so fun. This podcast is so far, my very favorite!! You're awesome!💖💖 Thank you!!
Awe! Thank you so much, Marla Fernandez! I really tried! SO glad you enjoyed it! 🌺🌷🌺
Superb lesson on color. I never thought of bringing my yarn to the color wheel
Oh I am so glad it was helpful to you, @karenbochinski! My other podcasts are here: ua-cam.com/play/PLpolLUf9SLHjdjLXDrWnIcXCXrO75n9GT.html Thank you!! 🌼🌸🌼
The never ending flower shawl is beautiful. Thanks for the color lesson. It helps tremendously. Talking about the notions that would benefit us while we crochet would be great
Oh I am so glad it was helpful to you, Margaret G! Thank you. 🌼🌸🌼
I never see any crochet teaches show us how to join different sizes granny squares like the beautiful ( blue and white blanket on your couch ) that is so gorgeous I want to make it so much I just don't know how to do the joining and I have ideas of my own to put a Twist on it. Thank you so much
Hello Christa I loved learning about the color wheel and how to choose colors that compliment each other and not to put a bright color with a “muddy” color. That bit of information I found extremely helpful in an older podcast you shared with all of us how to know a bright color from a muddy color. I enjoy making ponchos but more like a blanket poncho, I’ve never made one and would love to see what you could design for us and in multiple sizes or how to figure the math for multiple sizes. 🙋🏻♀️ I too LOVE the bright colors you create with especially the pinks and light teals. Love and Smiles from your Vegas Friend
I really enjoyed the lesson on picking colors. I love color! It’s one of my favorite things about crochet, using all the great colors. I like to throw all kinds of colors together. Sometimes my color choices are a swing and a miss. I still love it!
Oh I am so glad, Carolyn Alford! Thank you!! 🌸🌼🌺
I’d like to hear about starting a craft space and choosing a yarn stash.
That's a great idea, Cynthia Antone! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
OMG I would SOOO make that computer blanket. I have made some shawls for my sister and her daughter-in-law. My nephew thought he would be a smarty pants and said he wanted something just like what you just showed us. Thinking I won't be able to make him something like that. Now I that I have seen yours..... well let's just say I want to make him one of those with sleeves. 🤷♀️🤣
I’d love your grandmother’s blanket pattern with modern colours and the stitches she used. Happy blanket would be great!
Hi, Shara Kirkby!! Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼
Hi Christa. Wow, what a helpful video. Loved the colour wheel info. Thank you so much. Yes, I would love for you to do the cardi in regular acrylic please❤
❤🎉 Great video! Would love for the next podcast to be all about tips and tricks for scarfs mittens and cold-weather goodies. And perhaps at some point the study of stitches. From a single crochet to advanced level stitches does everyone have a different style or do we all hook the same? Fun, fun, fun. Also love the new Wednesday time works for me. As always thanks Christa 😊
Oh I am so glad you enjoyed it, 0523SHARON!! And GREAT ideas for themes! Thank you! 🌷🌺🌷
Wow, guess I need to buy myself a colorwheel. I found it interesting. Thanks Christa
Oh I am so glad, Donna Kosik! Thank you!! 🌸🌼🌺
Wow! Wow! Wow! You have truly opened my eyes! 😍 I definitely need to get me a Colour Wheel! Thank you so much for demonstrating this!
I like that tip! After I wind my yarn into a cake, I've been making a slip knot and using a stitch marker to hold it in place. It works pretty good until you've used most of the yarn and then it slips off and tangles sometimes so a clip would be perfect! My grandmothers didn't crochet but my great aunt did. I have a bed doll that she crocheted and though I don't keep it on my bed, I do keep it on top of the bureau that houses my yarn. I have a stash of different brand yarns, usually 4 weights but all brands of 4 weights are not equal. Maybe do a podcast about how to match your yarns properly. Thanks for sharing everything!
Sounds fabulous, Rosey Diva! Thanks! 🌺🌷🌸
I forgot to say how much I enjoyed this video lots to love. Color, tips, storage, cute sober granny blanket. Lots of enjoyable topics.
I would like crochet stitch/border book recommendations OR Tis the Season! I would love to see your different crocheted stockings!
I think tips and tricks. Like your basket idea that you use. It has been wonderful for me. I have my basket with my pattern, yarn, hook, etc. I try to not have more then 2 projects at a time. So having everything in a basket together I can easily go back and forth between projects. Books wound helpful I think for beginners like myself. Sometimes I second guess myself on the basic’s. Where to place stitch markers. Best way to choose hook sizes if you want it less stiff. I don’t know the correct terms. Thank you. Love your videos. 🍁
Christa I love your channel. I have MANY wips that are your patterns. I would love to see some quick projects for Christmas gifts. Thank you
I'd love to see a shawl with Christmas color(s) that would be warm, go down to the lower back and having a lovely drape to it. Maybe a shawl that could be both either casual and dressy/classy? (From work to evening) Thank you so much for all of the information you provided today! I didn't know about the websites so that info is a gem!💗💖
Oh thank you so much, Cyndi Varnell! 🌺🌻🌸
Christa, I haven't the words to tell you how much I have learned from this video. I am deeply grateful. Thank you...I am running out to buy cheap hair clips, lol. My question of the week (questions, really): Creating a craft space that is small, but efficient including yarn storage ideas and good lighting.
Oh I am so glad it was helpful to you, Poka Gal! Thank you. 🌼🌸🌼
I love love love the baby barrette trick so much! All my scrap balls are super secure! Thx Christa 🧶💜🤗
Just gorgeous makes!! Love the flower shawl. How to measure for wearables would be an awesome topic.
Hi, Autumn Eidson!! Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼

Hi Christa! Thanks for sharing how to choose colors! 🌸🌻🌺
Oh I am so glad you enjoyed it, Caty Huertas!! Thank you! 🌷🌺🌷

hiya christa! (catching up one the portions i missed) i agree - color wheels are very helpful. i quilt as well and find the wheel helpful there, too. the computer version you showed is terrific. i have yet to set up my studio since i moved. would love to have the same type of yarn wall as yours (im not good with tools!) QOTD: what about helpful instruction books - ones you just cant be without. thanks for everything you do!
I loved the color wheel and finding out about a website to help with colors. You have such an eye for colors. I would love a topic on how to design wearable items and how to figure out combinations of stitches. Loved this episode it was very fun watching it and seeing all your items in your unpack the stack.
Hi, Dawn Reichert!! SO glad you enjoyed it! Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼
I love loved this podcast! The info on colors is goin to be so helpful! I want to hear anything you want to tell us!

Christa, I would like to see how to make a Headband / Earwarmer that is skinnier at the nape of the neck . Thank You. ( Crochet )
That's a great idea, Kim G! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
Thankyou Krista. I really enjoyed this today. How to choose the colours was really interesting so was going through your yellow stacks. What fasinate me is how many items uou habe done over the years and how fast you get your projects finished. With 4 kids and a husband im sure you are akways busy. So manybe tips how you get all these things done would be a great idea.
A great video Christa! Thank you so much!
Oh I am so glad you liked it, Olivia Miller! Thanks!🌻🌺🌼
I found a "Navajo" blanket crocheted probably in the 70's or 80's at a thrift store. It makes me sad to see things like that at a thrift store, so I rescued it and use it to this day! 🥰
Me too, Denise Gustafson! Thank you! 🌷🌸🌷
Thanks for the color tutorial. It really helped me.yesssssss, setting up a space for crocheting. Especially if you have a small space.
Oh I am so glad you enjoyed it, Sherry Lewis!! Thank you! 🌷🌺🌷
I went to art school. I studied animation decades ago. Thank you for reminding us. Yes, the color wheel is a perfect tool.
I would like to see a video in November about crochet Christmas gifts
Yes please would like to see party cardi in a regular yarn
Cotton or acrylic thank you
Hi, corrine!! HUGS! 🌻🌺🌼
Thank you for sharing the Adobe color website. I didn't know that was a thing. I usually do all right picking colors, but next year I am planning to use the photos from a national park calendar as inspiration for a project each month. This website is bound to come in handy for teasing out the color options.
I would like some Christmas ideas for this year. 🎄
That's a great idea, Denise Gustafson! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
Thank you, this was fabulous! So very helpful! I have used the colour picker on the coolors site for colours for a granny square blanket. I also used the crochet studio app to put the colours of the squares together, so no two granny squares are the same. It turned out gorgeous.
Oh I am so glad it was helpful to you, @Marvellously_Outstanding! Thank you. 🌼🌸🌼
Love ❤️ this ...thanks for all information on the color wheel. I think 🤔 it would be a great idea to show different hooks and how they make larger scale patterns or smaller ones by the hook size you choose and why some hooks don't work with certain yarns the best....
That's a great idea, Traci Seger! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
I was so excited with all the information on how to use the color wheel. I’ve ordered one and can’t wait to start planning my new projects. I will continue to watch whatever you choose to share with us.
I would like to see the party cardy in regular yarn had trouble seeing the stitches in the first tutorial ,very ggod podcast a lot of good tips for finding colors that match worth waiting for LOL 😀😀😀

What a great and fun video!!😊🧶
Hi
I would love to see a video on how to read a chart or if you use to kinds of yarn what size does it work out to and what size hook works with the new size of yarn.
Well, that was full of yarny deliciousness, Christa!! I'm thankful to have lots of embroidered & crocheted doilies, tablecloths & runners from my grandmas & great grandmas! Very precious! I'd love a podcast about borders & edges as that's probably what I find most difficult to decide upon with each shawl & blanket. 🥰 Blessings from South Australia💕🐨 PS. I'd love it if you could put links to the colour programs in the information box. Thanks!
I just love u Christa! thank u for your channel!!!.

Great video! 😊 thanks!!
Oh I am so glad you liked it, Joel Newsome! Thanks!🌻🌺🌼
Great video. This is something I can use. I know so little about matching colors, so I either wing it or buy a kit. This explains part of why your projects are very colorful and the colors go so well together.
Oh thank you so much, Sparkle! 🌺🌻🌸
I need to ask Santa for a color wheel 🎄 🤗
Hi, Mary Kleege!! Still so chuffed about Kyle! I think a color wheel is DEFINITELY in you future! Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼

How does a yarn kaleidoscope work, for picking yarn that works together in a project. I think Annie's Attic sells them. I would love one.
I’m loving your video podcasts!! I’d love to see a dedicated Christmas episode as your next one 😍😍😍
Thanks ❤️
Hi Gorgeous. I have a colour blind grandson. Reds n Greens. Apparently in Australia 1 in 100 are some level of colour blind. So much for traffic lights!!!!!! ❤️🧡💚
Hi, Clare Loney!! My grandpa was colorblind too... he could ROCK turquoise socks like a BOSS! I just thought he was super hip asnd wanted to match my 1968 Dodge Dart! Bwah ha ha ha!!! 🌻🌺🌼
I remember when colour pooling was a ‘thing’! I never had the patience for it.
Inspired.

¡Oh, me alegro mucho que te guste, @mariaevahochmeister3432! ¡Gracias! 🌻🌺🌼
Would love to see sweater in a acrylic yarn I would like to see a crocheting area set up I have very limited space I’m thinking of a one unit modular set up that can hold my yarn and my sewing machine and all that goes with it with a table that folds up
Thank you, Sharon Dodge! 🌈🌼🌸
Thanks for the information. Would like to know how to size a sweater
Hi, maritza C!! Thank you! 🌻🌺🌼
how do you figure out the length of the beginning round of a granny rectangle to make sure it hits your finish measure?
I would like to learn more about hook size and choosing patterns to go with yarn that I have. I think this goes with the same......if I have a 3 weight yarn but the pattern calls for 4 weight how do I still make it work?
That's a great idea, Beth Horetz! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
P.S. How's your ankle? You seem to be walking better. Glad to see that.
Oh thank you so much, Tina Hooper! It's just a cankle now... works ok, but looks fat. LOL ;) Thank you! 🌺🌻🌸
I’d like to learn about mixing yarn. I think you’ve touched on it before. Sometimes you are in the middle of a project and you can’t get more yarn of the same brand. What do you do then?
That's a great idea, Carolyn Alford! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
There's a free app for your phone when the color wheel isn't handy or you're out and about shopping -- Color Gear Light
That's awesome, SandraSC! Thank you!! 🌸👍🌺
The biggest question I have right now is, "How do I determine which stitches will work into my project?" I am trying to develop a shawl/ poncho that I can't find a pattern for. My problem is that all of the stitch combinations I've tried don't fit. I know there has to be an easier way than trial and error.
💜💟
I am so glad someone came up with a program based on nature. I've been saying use nature to help figure out what colors go together because GOD did it for us already. Great program. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
I agree Tina Hooper! 👍 Thank you! 🌺🌻🌸
Theme? How to pick plants to crochet? ty
Thank you, Chris' Kaleidoscope! 🌈🌼🌸
😊💗💗💗👍
❤❤🎉😮😊😊
Now that kids are grown and one is in college we all get our own dinner and eat any where or so in the living room. So thinking of making den my craft room how would I go about it at up wise and maybe even thinking doing you tube and etsy definitely not as big as you and some others but I'm retired just something to keep busy and enjoy the craft. What what I need? ❤️🧶
That's a great idea, Holly maldonado! 👍 Thanks!! 🌺🌼🌸
