Looking back at Earthbound, I think I know why people love this game so much. It doesn't talk down to kids. Most games are about adults fighting other adults and kids are just told to go to school and shut up. Kids can't drive cars, own property, drink, enlist in the military, travel alone, or do a whole assortment of other things until they turn a certain age. Ness sort of defies a lot of these characteristics to a believable point and that's why younger people really connect with this game. It's silly, but with its modern setting recognizable enough for people under 18.

I dont think it will be a very good idea, i like very much the Mothers like this, the stetic, the jokes, the enviroment, i dont think that could work, is like the back to the future saga, old is gold.
Using the debug menu I wanted to see what would happen if Ness went straight to the final giygas battle as soon as he woke up (max lvl, full party.) As soon as Paula prays the first time the game will soft lock on saturn village. Its really odd because that means its not a recorded cutscene triggered to play at that point. Instead its playing like the player is there in real time but if you didnt do the missions there is nothing to interact with.
It sucks because you actually *have* to wait three whole minutes while doing absolutely nothing controller-wise in order to get through the hidden waterfall entrance.
There is no better way to celebrate Black Friday, now, is there. You HAD to do it, didn't you, NintendoComplete. You just HAD to take me by surprise, catch me off-guard. Fucking *EarthBound.* I'm legit freaking out right now. This has always been a top candidate for my favorite game of all time. *EarthBound* is less an RPG, than a journey. This game absolutely blew my mind when I was a child, and it still does to this day. In fact...as coincidence would have it, I just played through this again a couple weeks ago! It's an awesome adventure about a boy who meets his friends, fated to save the world from aliens...on the surface. But the journey goes much deeper than that. This is an experience that touches on friendship, hardships, emotions, social satire, and some good old-fashioned piles of puke! Also, hippies. Easily the greatest game on Super NES, and one of the greatest games of the 90s, and _all time._ Ness's adventure is charming, hilarious, nostalgic, unique, and utterly memorable. And the soundtrack is _superb._ What more can I say? EarthBound is a masterpiece. A game that I hope is remembered for several generations to come. Thank you for playing, *NintendoComplete.* Dakota!! BOING!
The quotes: "But nobody came." "At times like this, kids like you should be playing nintendo games." "You cannot grasp the true form of giygas' attack".: First one is used in undertale. The second is both used in undertale and an internet meme. The third one became an internet meme.
I need help. Idk how to solve a problem I made in the game. I WENT TO THE CITY OF THE MR. SATURN WITH JEFF AND PAULA AND PAULA AND JEFF DIED IDK WHAT TO DO
There should be a doctor in that town, each hut is either a hospital, drug store, or inn. The hospital hut should be the first one you run into. Hope that helped :)
Bro i think everyone experience EarthBound very diferent. Personally this is the only game i call "psychedelic" is like listening Pink Floyd. all the Npc are crazy, the story is the craziest i've played in all game history, and the felling of the long trip is just so realistic to me as surreal it really teleports me to the towns and the madness. And you know i've played a lot of good and foto realistic games, all genres, since The Witcher 3, The Evil WIthin, until GTA 5. But the fellings of the first time playing EarthBound is just like drugs, i love it, such a masterpiece like no one.
i remember playing this on a friends softmodded xbox emulator all the time... the game would softlock when I saved but when I rebooted the system the save persisted so I just would only save when I was truly done for the day.
27:28 I can see why it changed from K-A to Teen... Suggestions of something VERY disturbing! Also: I hear the Background theme of Xevious in the arcade.

@@DenisSailor130 i made these timestamps to show the game to my mother, they show the parts that I should skip in order to not waste her time. Once you get to the beginning of a timestamp, skip to the next one in the same row, I just got lazy and didn’t label all of them as filler
Press L & wait?
I really wish someone would remake the mother/earthbound games like with what they are doing with the resident evil games
I dont think it will be a very good idea, i like very much the Mothers like this, the stetic, the jokes, the enviroment, i dont think that could work, is like the back to the future saga, old is gold.
@@jordyalejandroubaldomorale2982 understandable
LOL Earthbound is not even fun for western audiences.
I never owned this game...I wish I could go back in time and do so.
It's just so damned...GOOD.
Go download an emulator then download the zip file. Easy as that
@@Blanxyness but… piracy
You can play this on the switch
this was my favorite game on my snes (and tetris), i literally played it everyday after school couldn’t finish the whole game though lol
That waterfall made me think about getting a job thank you
It sucks because you actually *have* to wait three whole minutes while doing absolutely nothing controller-wise in order to get through the hidden waterfall entrance.

Can't wait to spend the best 8hrs of my life!

@@jaytayner4292 Earthbound is older than the first release of Pokèmon, but it's on a newer console, so it still looks better.
I love 90s games and Earthbound is my favorite game. :-))
i played this the whole night. when i woke up, it was still going!

@Chicken hes talking about the youtube video not the game lmao

Anyone here cause snes online on switch was announced ?
I'm because I saw the avgn review it, I want to see the whole thing.
I'm here because i played as Ness in Super Smash Bros since year 2000. I was able to play this game thanks to the SNES Classic Edition.
BOING!
I let my friend borrow the strategy guide and he lost it. God I miss that thing.
its 2020, im 30 and i miss roaming the streets of Onett.
This game did everything right
I like how nostalgic and relaxing the Fourside theme sounds. It reminds me of when the world was much more peaceful.
5:28:57 That’s some coffee.
Seriously lol
Ness: WhAT WaZz In DAt COfFEE
LSD. There is LSD in the coffee.
Very interesting game but the inventory system is absolute garbage.
Well, it’s probably that way to balance the game
I'm just watching the no commentary one so I can hear the ost😌
20:08 that music ...
Ayo I’m Casey
what about earthbound the place
I'm shook how you got from the start to Summers in 8 & a half hours
Hahaha in the description of this video the player mentions leveling up off-screen. It probably took him a lot longer than 8hrs
@@magrildz oh
Earthbound and Dragon Warrior are my binge plays right now. Love the 8 bit graphics and music.
And yes I know this isn’t Mother 1 it’s 2.
ackyschually... it's 16 bit
The game almost got canceled a couple of times until iwata joined the team. That’s kind of why it was unknown I guess
I’ve never played this before, it seems really fun
It's a really fun adventure. You become intimate with all the characters personalities. It gets personal. Fun game.
Fun for who?
I bet thats why this game never sold well for western audiences.
People prefer action games and plattformers.
I've never played this game but OMG the music is just so amazing!!!!
Started playing this about 45 minutes ago. Liking it so far
I’ve been looking for this for a long time lol, I remember the basis of the game but forgot what it was called thanks for the upload!!
Aside from Mario this was my favorite game growing up. I miss my childhood. I miss the 90s. 😪
Great parenting, huh?
I’m just now hearing this game wasn’t popular when it came out. I loved this from day one, hopefully they remake it for switch some day
You really help me play through this game thanks a lot man💙
I love this game so much. It is from my childhood and I am about to cry from the memories and emotions......Thank You
What the heck is with all the ads in the beginning?
MoonFusion Just wants the M O N E Y
I have no idea. Maybe Ness put those ads there because he needs more money to buy things at the drugstore. XD
I dunno, UA-cam autoplaced them
@@NintendoComplete that sucks. Never doubt mega companies when it comes to being greedy.
I heard of Ness in Super Smash Bros. but didn't bother until now to find out what game he was in. The game play reminds me of Pokemon before Pokemon!
The quotes:
"But nobody came."
"At times like this, kids like you should be playing nintendo games."
"You cannot grasp the true form of giygas' attack".:
First one is used in undertale.
The second is both used in undertale and an internet meme.
The third one became an internet meme.
The one thing I never understood about this series is that why haven’t they done an HD remake of the trilogy?
I need help. Idk how to solve a problem I made in the game. I WENT TO THE CITY OF THE MR. SATURN WITH JEFF AND PAULA AND PAULA AND JEFF DIED IDK WHAT TO DO
There should be a doctor in that town, each hut is either a hospital, drug store, or inn. The hospital hut should be the first one you run into. Hope that helped :)
Music is just amazing in this game
Sometimes it’s hard for me to leave a shop or hospital cause I’m just jamming out to the music
Final fantasy and Pokémon mixed together with a modernized twist. We need a sequel
Look up Mother 3
Mother 3 is the sequel.
This game makes you think outside the box, the monotony of gathering experience points can be frustrating but the story behind it is brilliant.
8:39:05 what’s that music called its sounds calming
dr andonuts' lab
That game was and still is awesome!!
i remember playing this on a friends softmodded xbox emulator all the time... the game would softlock when I saved but when I rebooted the system the save persisted so I just would only save when I was truly done for the day.
5:32: Conversation with Ness's mom, 20:00: StarMan Jr. battle time!!, 1:05:27: Street fighter!!, 1:08:25: Gettin' chased by a truck!!
lowkwey the only reason I know about this game is because I looked at unnerving videos and o e of the songs in it is from this game 😄
27:28 I can see why it changed from K-A to Teen... Suggestions of something VERY disturbing!
Also: I hear the Background theme of Xevious in the arcade.

The game that delayed the release of Pokémon coming sooner. Although working on this game might’ve helped what made Pokémon so great as it was also an RPG.

I just beat this game today and it took me like days to beat it, this was one of the first RPG game I've ever beaten besides that one DBZ rpg game on the gameboy advance, Mario & Luigi's Super Star Saga, Final Fantasy 1 on NES, Final Fantasy 3 on Super Nintendo, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, Pokemon Sun on 3DS, Illusion of Gala and Dragon Warrior on NES, I have not beat any of those RPGS all this time until now, I have finally finished this game and it is the best :)
