I'm researching videos on 2012 QX56 and ran into your video review, very informative and straight forward!..... Yesterday I found a 2012 with 70k in pristine condition and from all of the information I'm finding about it, I feel more comfortable purchasing it tomorrow. Thank again!

I've been toggling between 11 QX56 and 09-10 Escalade or the cheaper Armada which didnt get a body upgrade after 11 except loosing the chrome bottom lip. The somewhat downgrade from the Escalade I'm considering in the Yukon Denali 09-11. I always thought it was ridiculous for the expensive SUV to be thought of as off roaders like that Lincoln pickup lol This QX56 grew on me as well. Had to get used to that weird slope in the back. The timing chain is a safety recall, my qx56 had it done for free at our local dealership. It's been 40k miles since our chain was replaced and no issues out our qx56.
So which ever qx56 you are thinking of buying call you local dealership with the trucks VIN, or look it up online to make sure the repair is covered for your vehicle.

I love my 2012 Qx56 and I believe it's a great luxury SUV. I think mine was not taken very good care of by its original owners. I've thrown $5k easily into my truck after I purchased it. Just bought a 2011 QX56 exact same color you have inside an out. Got it for 11200 cause the dealer was desperate to make a sale. Just got the airbag recall done at the dealership but it's giving the catalyst code p0420 or 0430 so they are saying to replace both catalytic converters at 5k. Cannot afford that but I talked to other mechanics and they said it's most definitely the O2 sensors if not two but probably 1 of them going bad. What do you think? And thanks for the tip on the timing chain I need to look into the recall issue.
