About Austin City Limits
Austin City Limits (ACL) offers viewers unparalleled access to featured acts in an intimate setting that provides a platform for artists to deliver inspired, memorable, full-length performances. The program is taped live before a concert audience from The Moody Theater in downtown Austin. ACL is the longest-running music series in American television history and remains the only TV series to ever be awarded the National Medal of Arts. Since its inception, the groundbreaking music series has become an institution that's helped secure Austin's reputation as the Live Music Capital of the World. The historic KLRU Studio 6A, home to 36 years of ACL concerts, has been designated an official Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Landmark. In 2011, ACL moved to the new venue ACL Live at The Moody Theater in downtown Austin. ACL received a rare institutional Peabody Award for excellence and outstanding achievement in 2012. Austin City Limits is produced by KLRU-TV and funding is provided in part by Dell, American Airlines, the Austin Convention Center Department and Cirrus Logic. Additional funding is provided by the Friends of Austin City Limits. Learn more about Austin City Limits, programming and history at acltv.com.
So can we talk about how Janelle has such a huge stage presence that she was able to dance for a good portion of time and was still getting hyped up by the crowd.
THIS WOMAN!!!! Most underrated artist ever. So talented!!!! She deserved better SO MUCH BETTER!!! A real queen💖💖
This song and performance both scream Prince.
So good I get chills, new favorite artist, so talented
She is a cool vocalist and a hot dancer!
Omg she is a natural... Everything!!!
Awesome. Janelle killed it on this performance
I love that Austin City Limits is so much more diverse. For a while there it was so Indy.
She is just unreal! Total pro-talent beyond!
Work that out Ma!!! 🔥🔥🔥🌹🌹🌹 She's a BAD Sista!!! Had me hooked with "Tight Robe" and hasn't let me go yet!! Keep up the righteous work Sis!! ✊💗🖤💚
Uhm ... Can we pause and shout out James Brown, Michael Jackson, Prince and Ms. Jackson - she's channelling ALL of those Icons in that stellar performance!!! I appreciate it!! 👍✊ 💗🖤💚 😎
So good!
She had a Michael Jackson slash James Brown dance moves going on and she's beautiful
*WOW! Talk about winnin' a road game! DAMN!*

최고야 한국에 한번만 와주세요ㅠㅠ
Just 7,500 views on Monae’s performance? How?
Janet Jackson should hire whoever wrote the song immediately
Where's Django Jane?
Why do y’all praise her and admonish Corey Feldman for doing the exact same thing?
I try to live by the saying " if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".
Well, at least I can say she's hot.
At least you told us all about it
looks like michael jackson for some reason in the beginning xd
living corey feldmans dream
Nah it took her WAY too long to start singing, I get she wants to preform but girl!
Hmm, kind of disappointing. I loved the well-orchestrated chaos on stage with the musicians and dancers all being running around like mad, spilling out energy every second of the gig.
This is a blown-out-of-proportion dance-revue performance with a song whose musical ideas are stretched beyond the limits, while some faceless minions play somewhere in the background. I guess I'm going to watch her Glastonbury performances instead.....
Very disappointed by ACL. I gave this a fair chance, but it fails. The musicians are almost completely shadowed in the dark, and the musicians may well be talented, but had no opportunity to share it. Everything takes a back seat to the dancers. Sad.
so what, the music sounds great!
Thanks Public Tv for using my donations to support positive Artists# Talented Female Artist Janelle Monáe. I listen and love all genres of music and will continue to support PBS. Janelle you've made a new Fan.
I normally associate ACL with musical talent,so this fails for me.
AlkebulanLion67 Janelle Monae is one of the most talented artists of her generation.
