I just got to the 60 mile mark and this exact thing happened. I finished my ride but thought.. I am gonna start carrying a small bike kit.. so I needed to figure this out and this was a HUGE help so thank you very much. I am a single mom and this is my 1st ebike!
I’m so glad I found this. I’m not having any issues because my bike is brand new however that main clip on the stem that allows the whole handlebar to fold, mine is so dang tight. I can barely unclip it if at all. Now I know what to do to loosen it up a little bit.
After about 20 + times retightening the handle bar bolts I used a weight to hit the hex key so they are forced tight and it's worked thus far 🤞 If they come loose again I'll try the lock tight - thanks
Thanks so much for posting this very helpful fix, John; appreciate you sharing your experience. @lectricbikes This would be a helpful video to post in your support videos. www.youtube.com/@LectriceBikes
Thank you so much. I had 550 miles on mine and the handlebars became loose. Your video helped me fix it in 5 minutes awesome.
thank you!!! it was harder finding a video with the fix than the fix itself.
