@@Endeva09 I looked into it a few months ago, and their website doesn’t say that you actually get land, rather you get assigned a plot in your name. As far as not planting trees go, I don’t know. From what I remember they just partner with organizations that do plant trees. I didn’t investigate those organizations so unless they are fraudulent, that claim seems reasonable as well.

To fill in some missing pieces of history, Andy Launspach is believed to be the first to discover the ability to drive between the boxcars of the train back in the 1990s. I’m not aware of a more specific date of when it happened.
Also, one of my two fluke discoveries in the summer of 1997 was glitching through the fence in Kalimari Desert. I mentioned this in my farewell e-mail to the Kart 64 community later that year as my Internet access was expiring. Unfortunately I spent too long on the track experimenting for it to amount to any record, as it was common for me to spend literal hours on a track hunting for glitches. It would elude me for decades on how to recreate it (along with a fluke full-lap skip in Wario Stadium), which is in part why my scores ultimately suffered, knowing deep down that these two tracks surely had unfinished business.
Thankfully others have since recreated my two mysterious flukes decades later. In a way, it felt like vindication, as I was beginning to question my memory on how these flukes happened, and have since become visually disabled to have any hope of recreating the flukes myself. The torch is passed on.

I don't think it's accurate to say that one person "discovered" driving between train cars. It seemed to be common knowledge shortly after the game came out. I knew about it since whenever I was playing it in '97. As he said in the video, it was just one of those things where you'd rather design your preferred route to avoid the trains, so you didn't have to rely upon a really tough trick in the middle of a speedrun, that may or may not even be worth the risk if there's a smarter route that avoids the train & is faster.

@@AkumaAPN sure that's fair but until someone actually mentions it or documents it no one gets credit then once those things happen they are the people who discovered it it's not fair to the others who discovered it but that's life and no one really knows who's actually the first

It's I think what every speedrunner has nightmares about, you think you messed up on some specific trick, and you go to reset out of habit, only to discover to your horror that you actually landed it perfectly and you going to reset it just invalidated everything
It’s really the worst feeling, I had something like it a while ago, I had the best run I’d ever had and accidentally reloaded a quick save or paused, invalidating the run. It wasn’t quite as one in a billion as the fence clip, but it was still one of the best I’ve ever done.

Established Titles, who has always been a questionable sponsor to begin with, was confirmed to be a scam this past week. No one should fault Abyssoft or any other content creator for doing an ad for them, as I'm sure they weren't unaware of that fact, but nobody should give Established Titles their money. Stay safe everyone!
It's been a scam for a little over TWO YEARS. Seriously, people are dumb. Shame on everyone who took this sponsor. No research was made. And I'm not talking about the recent stuff about it that came out, I'm talking about older ones calling this out for being a scam!

That moment after the player managed to clip that fence and immediately reset the game has happened to me when doing repetitive tasks like in Breath of the Wild when getting rupees from the lottery guy.

Wait, I swear when i was younger prolly like 6 years ago, I remember doing a skip with my brother, where you use a star and run directly into the train out of bounds, and some reason it flips you out of bounds and puts you in a weird spot where you can complete the lap way faster. My brother was very good, he got the unofficial 3 lap record on Wario stadium and i clearly remember this skip.
Be careful with the sponsor, it is actually a Japanese company and there's a lot of shady things behind it.

It's still wild to me that over 25 yeas after its release, and a massive dedicated community to TT, you'd think that any improvements to be made would be very minor, a few hundredths to a few tenths of a second. But we still have records being shaved by tens of seconds years later, with it being unclear what the actual low barrier is for many tracks.

I actually have the record for this. I did it in 37 seconds.
He’s an incredible gamer for sure, but no one should hold *every* record. That’s just unfair, and destroys the fun, even if they are genuinely the best player. It’s like when you play Mario Kart with your friends but you speedrun the game and they just play it at parties, so you always come first, they can’t have any success and you never get any competition. After a few rounds, no one wants to play any more, and you all stop.
Established Titles is a scam. You should avoid working with them in the future.

This track always frustrated me as I got in between the cars by fluke, once, then spent forever trying to recreate it. I'm glad I stopped my speed running quest back in 99. It stressed me out.

Established titles has recanted on many things that they have been saying and they've been allowing content creators and influencers to say whatever they want about the product and not correcting it until recently when people were making a stink about it. Their commercials used to say you can put lord or lady on your id with it. And that you can own land. You dont own the land or any rights to it and you can NOT use it to put lord or lady on your official documents
