Don't ask me Ryan, I have never flown an aeroplane; as an observer though if slightly down more into the valley, could not a lower approach too land uphill be made or is it a safety issue? Tks & nice flying btw! {\}
lol That was the most interesting integration of Surfshark (or any other VPN ad) into a vlog I've seen in a while. I usually skip through ads but it was entertaining the first time at least!

Interesting risk management discussion. Ive read (Mentour pilot) of turbines getting coated with ash. Neat aerial footage. Appreciate the technical details of prep, inflight and cargo issues. Also enjoyed the overview of the schools. Making a difference ! God Bless.
Mentour Pilot's video on BA Flight 9 (the Galunggung Glider) was really interesting! It's terrifying what volcanic ash is capable of doing to a plane.
Interesting to hear about getting your plane unstuck, with help from the people. My uncle Werner had to get help once when the runway at Mt Hagan was a bit too short. He managed to get slightly off the end, down a steep hill, but the oeople there managed to push him back up the hill, back to the runway. Somewhere I have a picture of this incident. Would you be interested in the article his engineer wrote about his escape over the mountains at the beginning of the war? It is in German, but perhaps you can find someone to translate it. When I find the magazine again, I could scan it for you.
As a former teacher and someone who trained teachers internationally as part of my job running assessments it is always interesting to see schools, so thank you for that. I would still be doing it but now live with motor neurone disease, and have become an artist. Thanks for this. God bless, Rick

I do a bit of hang gliding. The lower i get the fewer are my options. The club guru instructor says "Height, Speed,Plan. As you lose height you'd better have Speed and a Plan for a safe landing. " There is no time nor brain capacity to consider options at the time when decisions are needed. Decisions need to be made well ahead so that is simply a matter of matching the plan criteria to the conditions. E.g. greater than 5kts trail wind = return to base... Easy! Thanks for explaining and confirming in this video.
FYI: Hospitals have an office/conference room titled "RISK MANAGEMENT".

I actually have no idea, but I know it's very difficult to get here in PNG. You have to have your own drum stock of it everywhere because no company has it in their trucks to fuel your plane

the alaskan bush wheels can not handle the weight of the Kodiak loaded. We also don't go into crazy rough strips where we would need them

He has to have one when flying over water. But not over land. There is not enough time in a emergency to don a parachute.

different locations have different building styles. Some use the under the house to store stuff.

I have been watching these videos for quite some time and I like them. Unfortunately, we need to part ways. The issue is the ads. I buy the premium you tube package ONLY because I detest ads in a form and am willing to pay to avoid them. If your content is going to include ads, I can no longer participate. If your ad policy changes, I could subscribe again in the future. No hard feelings, just an issue that is very important to this watcher. I am in the process of unsubscribing to every subscribed account for the same reason.

@@BwInNewJersey Ryan is the absolute best pilot that I have ever seen and he's extremely hard working but you don't understand that the video in question was not your normal inline advertisement. It had no well defined beginning and end and thus was engineered to make you watch it. I've watched thousand of videos and this was the first and only inline advertisement with no well defined entrance and exit, thus you can not easily FF through it which was the intent. As Ryan is aware and in fact all pilots are aware, the only way you know that you need to change some 'thing' that you have done is to be told that that 'thing' was not correct. Now Ryan should know that there are proper inline ads and there are improper ones but he's no less a great pilot.
