Like real money is good, counterfeit money is bad, unless you can discern, you won't know which is which. And while it can help for a season, like it did for Hollywood, it's ultimately a cycle of destruction, like a snake constantly eating itself to live. Evil, the way I see it at least, is the ultimate oxymoron. And Hollywood is just another proof that evil eventually destroys as they've been suffering big time too.

This I think is a very insightful consideration. The Journalists rate games for clicks and to get free stuff. They seldom if ever actually pay their own money for the games. While Journalists can give us some look at the games the consumer level perspective is WAY more important.

They are investing your pension funds into absolute and utter refuse that will burn through hundreds of millions in no time, ruining businesses and every historic and beloved established IP will either disappear in their portfolio or be reimagined as a mobile game or remade for a non-existing "modern audience".

100 players for a AAA game in the AGE OF GAMING is preposterous, there are "bad indie games" that get more players than that. i don't actually care much about Unknown 9, it is an original IP, if they can find an audience for it good for them. My problem is when the take over an existing IP and destroy it with their ideology. They are parasites, then i get mad. If you have an existing IP you should respect the fanbase and give them what they want, not use it as a host to spread their cult around.
They did it to the existing IP in movies so video game is the next platform to be infected.

The beauty is that they can never force us to buy this garbage, much less play it.
A simple tip for developers fits into one sentence - “The customer is always right.” The game should be liked by players - not sites, not bloggers, not critics, not communities of those offended by life - players, the ones who will decide whether to buy your product.
Witcher series was the first time I've ever seen her in any media before. And the fact she ruined Yennefer so horrible (I ❤ her in the game), I will always mind this failure seeing her in any future involvements whatsoever. She is a sign for killing fun and committment. Hey, I just looked over to see what the current playerbase size is for Helldivers II and it was 51,661.
When will these companies understand that even though you might get better loans and clout with ESG. At the end of the day, all the money they saved from using ESG, will be lost anyways when the game tanks.
If BlackRock offered to give me $10 million to make a woke video game, I'd totally do it. A large percentage of that $10 million would end up in my bank account so I wouldn't care if the game failed.

The makers of this game treated this game as if it were an established IP with a dedicated fan base. With SBI's reputation in the trash and linked to this game, gamers said "No" based on SBI connection alone. Without a dedicated fan base to offset some of the SBI haters like myself, it had no foundation to stand on in terms of sales. Add on mediocre game play and you have a receipt for disaster sales.
