The lightfury isn’t the female version of a nightfury, she’s a subspecies of the nightfury, we know this because female and male dragons of the same species look almost exactly the same

i just realized something, so you know the friendship cycle right? how to make a friend, how to keep a friend, and how to end a freindship. well all 3 HTTYD movies represent that. heres how The first movie is how to train the dragon, training toothless, therefor being how to make a friend. The second movie is how to keep a friend. hiccup has to find a way to keep toothless from being mind-controled in the finale, find away around the problems, and keep the friend he has. The third movie is how to end a friendship, hiccup has to let toothless go for the good of both of them.
I dont think they ended their friendship, Hiccup needed to let them go because it's for their safety. They are too close to just have their friendship end like that. I think they continue to always be buddies

When really, Hiccup chose to leave Berk and Ruffnut lead Grimmel back to NEW Berk HALFWAY THROUGH THE MOVIE. Jeez. I wish they'd fact check before posting. XD
Actuallly if u look more carefully, hiccups hair is slightly more darker than his daughters. I believe it’s stoick’s more orange like hair. Physical traits sometimes does skip a generation. Also toothless’ kids are called nightlights. And of course, Stormfly is a girl. U even referenced a Gift of the Night Fury and the 3rd movies where multiple times Astrid does say that she's a girl. U should’ve hired a diehard fan of the trilogy to help u guys get facts straight and smaller details right and make more sense. Looks like there's some things that you guys have missed in How to Train Your Dragon the Hidden World

19971nspireme Hey, Dragons have multiple litters throughout their life. Your idea reminds me of all things Balto 2. When Balto talks about his daughter he says “She looks more like a wolf than me.” And Balto was only half wolf. Anyway, it’s entirely possible that a mostly Night nightlight could be born. On a sadder note, the Fury’s use their color as natural camouflage, so the mix breed will have a tougher time blending in both literally and figuratively. Hey! That’s something they could explore in another movie or TV show!
@@SuperWorldJumper I don't think they'd ever have a pure nightfury, since I guess maybe part of the color (kids can't be darker than parents) but will always have some light in it. Sadder sadder note, same happens with axolotls, the albino ones don't make it in the wild because there is no way for them to camouflage. So it makes sense that the special ability LightFury had was more common in the other branch. Though I don't think they were different species, just I guess different breeds? Like the Night terrors in race to the edge.

The ending was so emotional for me, Hiccup and Toothless were such a great friendship for one another, and HTTYD will always be forever in my heart as one of the best animated series that I've ever seen in my entire life. It's sad to see that the amazing series has ended. I will never stop thinking about how these two characters were such a monumental piece in the entire series. Their friendship grew, and they loved one another. This movie was very well animated to the point where it made me so connected throughout the entire series, as a whole. Thankyou DreamWorks for making this masterpiece that the series has become. We Miss You Hiccup and Toothless 😄♥

A drawing scene happens in all 3 of the films not just 1 and 3, you'd have to have been not watching the movie to miss hiccup making the paint and Grimmel straight up shows that he's using the venom to control his dragons. Also those 'blacklights' are fireworms. They're in the show's multiple times
the black lights are nightlights actually, night and light furies. And they only mentioned the first drawing scene because it's how they bonded and toothless needed it for that.

In HTTYD 3, when the big dragon (I forgot what it’s called) that Fishlegs found at the beginning, then Hiccup rescued the dragons. Once the dragon escaped, there was a guy right next to him. When the dragon took 1 stomp, the viking hat flew off. The dragon stomped the trapper LMAO 😂

With no record of Nightfuries, it could be that none migrated to Berk. As said in the first movie, it is freezing up there, and according to the last movie, Grimmel states Nightfuries can't last long in the cold. The reason for Toothless to go up to Berk is probably the food ability, nesting spot location, and just following the other group of dragons (He wasn't alpha at that point yet) Are all Nightfuries extinct? Possibly not as Toothless is alive, but who knows.

I just watched the movie and I kept thinking, "Tuff sounds off...." well now I know for sure why he sounded different. It's kind of odd how Ruff and Tuff have inconsistent voice portrayals since Ruff had different VAs in the series and movies, and they recast Tuff in HTTYD3.

@@levih008 My son and I went back and stopped the film to debate it. We finally agreed it was but we missed the other light furies! Also in the hidden world there was at least one dragon from Draco's army in that same scene sequence. You can tell because it still has the helmet/headgear on. I believe it is the same spieces as Stoick's dragon. It shows up in the bottom of the screen when Astrid and Hiccup fly by.
I loved this movie so much it ended my childhood softly and amazingly. The ending was a good one because it felt over and still left room for spin-offs and other things.
if you saw "Gift of the nightfury" and remember enough the new tail piece. you'd know stormfly is female. plus Astrid refers to Stormfly as her, she, etc

Though not given an actual canon name, fans have made names possibly connected to the book. Some of these names that make sense are: -Nubless, after the fact that its the technical opposite of 'Toothless' -Toothpaste, since it's white, and toothpaste is usually white, and also keeping the 'Tooth-' part of the name. -Luna, after the word 'lunar' referencing the fact that it's a white Night Fury/Light Fury, in which the moon appears at night, with light reflecting off of it. A drawing scene happens in all 3 of the films not just 1 and 3, you'd have to have been not watching the movie to miss hiccup making the paint and Grimmel straight up shows that he's using the venom to control his dragons. Also those 'blacklights' are fireworms. They're in the show's multiple times
the black lights are nightlights actually, night and light furies. And they only mentioned the first drawing scene because it's how they bonded and toothless needed it for that.

THAT would have been something we could have missed as opposed to the venom plot point that's literally outright stated in the film, or the follow up ''point'' to this that just makes fun of the concept of the venom itself bc they outright missed the point that its ALSO stated to make dragons docile and thus malleable to commands. Hell, another thing that someone ''might have missed'' is the way that to fly the Lightfury, Grimmel has to tug her head around like she's got no ability to decide where she's flying

yeah and there are like no good games featuring the franchise, it is so underrated, i mean youd think this good of a fantasy world deserves its own awesome MMORPG, the other httyd games😭just doesnt do that, school of dragons is the best but its too costly/too many ads/asks ppl to pay more than necessary so its really a wasted potential

What I really love about this franchise is that the characters actually age over time...Hiccup with that beard was in such a stark contrast to the little kid he was in the first flick. 😁

Tropical Waves, I’ll agree with you on that fact. You can always find some pretty good movies nowadays, but you can’t always find movies as great as these ( very seldom can you find any movies as great as the “ How to Train your Dragon “ series, and even then you have to be pretty lucky )

In HTTYD 3, when the big dragon (I forgot what it’s called) that Fishlegs found at the beginning, then Hiccup rescued the dragons. Once the dragon escaped, there was a guy right next to him. When the dragon took 1 stomp, the viking hat flew off. The dragon stomped the trapper LMAO 😂

I noticed that the way toothless approaches light fury in that forest, reminds me of how hiccups dad (forgot his name) approached valka

If you look at Hiccups eyes and toothless eyes their the same color
If you look at Astrid's eyes and the Lightfurry's eyes the are the same color
So since toothless as the same eye color as Hiccup and the Lightfurry has the same as Astrid and both the people and kinda the two dragons got married it was like everything was meant to be.
there’s also the fact that at first, astrid hated dragons and hiccup changed her mind, and at first the light fury hated humans, but toothless changed her mind as well😃 i love the parallels with them

You also missed a few reference to Dragons Race to the Edge- a tv show on Netflix- it’s where Hiccup got his fire sword and when Ruffnut at the end of the movie finally chooses between the two boys which was something very special for those who watched the tv show because we’ve been waiting to see who ruffnut would choose for 2 seasons.
There is no entry on the night fury because they were so mysterious, not because they were extinct at that time.

With no record of Nightfuries, it could be that none migrated to Berk. As said in the first movie, it is freezing up there, and according to the last movie, Grimmel states Nightfuries can't last long in the cold.
The reason for Toothless to go up to Berk is probably the food ability, nesting spot location, and just following the other group of dragons (He wasn't alpha at that point yet)
Are all Nightfuries extinct? Possibly not as Toothless is alive, but who knows.

I just watched the movie and I kept thinking, "Tuff sounds off...." well now I know for sure why he sounded different. It's kind of odd how Ruff and Tuff have inconsistent voice portrayals since Ruff had different VAs in the series and movies, and they recast Tuff in HTTYD3.
Yeah. Tuff's voice was bothering me the whole movie because it didn't sound right. It wasn't awful though.

@@levih008 My son and I went back and stopped the film to debate it. We finally agreed it was but we missed the other light furies! Also in the hidden world there was at least one dragon from Draco's army in that same scene sequence. You can tell because it still has the helmet/headgear on. I believe it is the same spieces as Stoick's dragon. It shows up in the bottom of the screen when Astrid and Hiccup fly by.

I loved this movie so much it ended my childhood softly and amazingly.
The ending was a good one because it felt over and still left room for spin-offs and other things.

Here's one interesting bit of trivia about the light fury: it's name
According To Cowell's book How to Fight a Dragon's Fury, there is a mention of a white female dragon that is the same species as the Toothless from the book. Though not given an actual canon name, fans have made names possibly connected to the book. Some of these names that make sense are:
-Nubless, after the fact that its the technical opposite of 'Toothless'
-Toothpaste, since it's white, and toothpaste is usually white, and also keeping the 'Tooth-' part of the name.
-Luna, after the word 'lunar' referencing the fact that it's a white Night Fury/Light Fury, in which the moon appears at night, with light reflecting off of it.
Also according to Richard Hamilton, who was a script writer for some of the HTTYD series, states that the Light Fury is supposed to be around the same age as Toothless.

I like how just like in the first movie, in the ending of the last one the movie ended with toothless and hiccup flying high in the sky toward the sun. It's a Nice touch as a nostalgic reminder of the first one with the third ending just like the first one with the underlying significance of a new beginning after an end.
