I like how they keep Hiccup consistently intelligent in the TV series rather than have him be less smart for the sake of the plot. He makes mistakes, but he does try to learn.
His mistakes always have consequences he shoots toothless' tail and he loses his leg Him trusting to Draco indirectly leads to Toothless turning againist him and Stoich's death. That's why he is such a compelling protagonist
Viggo at 6 is a joke. He is easily smarter than Dagur, Stoick, Gothi and Grimmel. Grimmel fooled Hiccup one or two times. Viggo fooled Hiccup for MONTHS.
@Pyper the leafwing dude httyd 3 is an hour and 30 minutes long film and grimmel himself barely appear in half of it he was defeated so quickly, while viggo lasted 6 season long which is 100 times longer than 1.30 hour, you have to remember that Viggo rarely joins the battle, he has to plan everything even before it happen, he won't be there to witness the situation so there can't be any sudden change, he has to plan everything perfectly months before it even happened yet it stills frustrate Hiccup all the time, even if he did join the battle he always have a way to get himself away from getting captured by Hiccup. hence Krogan, Yohann can never find the king of dragon without Viggo and speaking of the dragon eye til this day no one knows how Viggo managed to use the dragon eye without the key not even his brother Ryker
Look I respect Viggo but Grimmels cunning and intelligence was enough to scare hiccup, making him think that dragons will never be safe from villains like Grimmel
@Pyper the leafwing do you not remember Hiccup loosing the Dragon Eye, twice really if you want to count the time it was in the volcano and Viggo-with help-unsuccessfully took over their base just to get it back, and Berk's gold being lost? Just to name the two major incidents. And they're song and dance went on for almost two years.
Agreed. I also think dager should be below vigo, seeing as how his plans failed most of the time, while vigo was able to come out on top in most engagements.
Viggo is the best villain in the series, let's be honest, Johan was an interesting twist, it's just a shame that the final episodes of race.to the edge made so many plot holes.
Dagur and stoick being more inteligent than viggo, you really hate viggo or just underestimate him, he did more victories, demonstrations, and better strategics than the 90%of the characters, not only 65%
Watch Race to the Edge Season 2 or 3 Maces and Talons it proves it, (Don't ask me how I know the Name, Season and Movie) Thank You :) Oh and I agree Viggo should be WAY higher up
I have two points on this list I disagree with. The first one is Viggo, he has his fair share of feats, on top of completely manipulating Hiccup in multiple scenarios he was also able to repair the dragon eye, create a second improved Dragon Blade based on concept alone and memorize information from the Dragon Eye that he could use at later points (such as how he kept the fact that the Submaripper and the Shellfire where enemies and was able to utilize that against his brother), he was also able to admit his own defeats, such as when Ryker overthrew him, implying a level of self awareness that most characters lack. In his last moments, he was willing to sacrifice himself to get the info about the lenses to Hiccup and recognize that Hiccup was the one capable to defeating Johann. Not to mention, he found out Heather was a traitor just by looking at her, which implies a level of insight that's uncommon. If I'd have to place him, I'd put him above Gothi and probably above Grimmel, though Grimmel was limited by screen time it's still worth noting that Viggo outsmarted Hiccup constantly for an incredibly long time, much longer than Grimmel. The other one I have to disagree with would probably be the twins, throughout the series it's worth mentioning that they where able to memorize and recite the definitions of multiple words as well as infiltrate project Shellfire (even if they did that for Macey and not for the project, it's still impressive). They also where the ones to figure out that there was a traitor among them before Johann was even revealed, in fact it's implied by Hiccup that he didn't even consider it until those two brought the idea up. Tuffnut specifically was able to successfully fake his own death so that his sister could live a happy life with Throk; he was also able to come up with ideas that helped Astrid defend Dragon's Edge when the two of them where alone despite being desperately outnumbered. I have no clue where I'd place these two tbh, but I do feel like they deserve a little more credit.
also the twins seem to discuss alot of quite complex scientific concepts for that time, such as gravity and air resistance, symbiotic and asymbiotic relationships, astronomy etc.
As much as I love Hiccup, Viggo should be #1. In just his first two episodes, he managed to see right through Heather’s act, beat Dagur at Maces and Talons and play Hiccup as if he was a paw. Hiccup sometimes outsmarted him but he never reached his level. I’d say he’s the smartest when it comes to have creative, unconventional ideas. Viggo is smarter in everything else.
Contemplating if this guy actually knows anything about HTTYD and didn’t just google it.. he said “SPIT-LOUT” for Snotlout’s dad, when it’s actually “Spite-lout” and he said that Valka “found” her bewilderbeast egg.. which she didn’t.
At the end of RttE, Valka actually did find the bewilderbeast egg, though it doesn’t really make sense for that egg to be the dragon in the second movie, that’s how they put it, for whatever reason. I probably directly contradicts the movie but whatever I geuss?
I think it's pretty obvious that Astrid should have been higher on the list. Her pride may have been her main fault, but she was usually able to keep up with Fishlegs and Hiccup. That said, Fishlegs probably should have been higher in intelligence as well, even if his cowardice kept him from acting most of the time. He was effectively the second most knowledgeable about dragons behind Hiccup, but Fishlegs just didn't quite have the engineering prowess that Hiccup had.
I'd argue that fishlegs knows even more about dragons than hiccup. We see hiccup having to ask fishlegs what class a dragon might be or what they eat or where they live, it's just hiccup is superior at training dragons
I feel like Snotlout should be higher up. I mean he is pretty intelligent. He was able to replace Hiccups leg with a skeleton leg when they were trapped in a sand buster den, was able to build the sheep launcher, and has worked in the Forges, meaning that he probably knows how to make weapons.
Vigo would have to be the smallest and cunning villain in the series. Because he is known for implementing the maces and talons game into his own strategy and on the battlefield. But I think he was little too obsess on the game. Instead of on utilizing his skills in reality.
It feels a little odd to place all the dragons but specifically Toothless in this list so low. They're animals and you can't perfectly judge their intelligence the same way. In my mind Toothless has accomplished just as much as Hisccup in this series while showcasing problem-solving and quick-thinking better than most.
Viggo should easily be silver. While Grimmel did have a lot of cunning, he lasted about a week in terms of fictional time, while Viggo lasted months, potentially approaching a year, and much of that time, Viggo continued to have the upper hand, and make decisions/play tricks that even I was surprised by while watching RTTE. Viggo was clever enough to hide his identity behind Ryker and Dagur, until he had no choice. He also was less interested in getting his hands dirty than Grimmel, and preferred to ensure his own survival. I just feel like Grimmel is a bit too reckless in his upfront actions to be placed higher than Viggo's "behind the scenes" game that he played on the riders, even before he was revealed.
Grimmel imo is a very close second to Viggo. The only reason he's not in first is because his lasting time. Grimmel was the only villain to know about dragons. He knew everything about the night fury. He knew how to drug dragons, make venomous crossbow arrows, and he killed all night furries besides Toothless. He was also the only villain to actually capture Toothless without Hiccup being focused on something else. He sensed attacks before they were even planned. He intentionally let Ruffnut go so he could find New Berk. He also snuck into Old Berk and Hiccup's house without being unintentionally detected.
I was honestly surprised with the top three. I thought it would be Hiccup third, Viggo second, and then Grimmel first, but nope! Lesson learned: don’t underestimate Hiccup 😄
I agree but i would still put Hiccup at the top considering how young and and inexperienced hiccup is compared to both Viggo and Grimmel. Hiccup was young and naive but Viggo And Grimmel had the same weaknesses as both of them was too much in it for "the game"
@@lucasenglund4468 Hiccup is at his intelligence prime. He's 20 in RTTE. Grimmel was the same as Hiccup when he was a child and arguably smarter for killing a night fury and gaining pride.
Toothless managed to understand a human through trust itself and imitate hiccup within weeks. Toothless seems to understand most of what Hiccup says and for pretty much every human learning a new language takes some years and toothless learned one in a few short weeks. And toothless managed to survive grimmel (however u spell the name) for years and is the last nightfury. For god sake he learned how to drae after watching Hiccup once (sorta). And u put him way to far down the list
I'm surprised that chicken from race to the edge isn't on any of the list. her intelligence isn't something to make fun of. she was the first one figure out that gruff was disguised as tuff and saved meatlug and hookfang from being stolen. she also seems to understand the situation and find a solution like when ruff was kidnapped chicken went to warn tuff. she too was the first to calmed garff ( the baby death song) by singing to him. and when tuff was looking for her she was smart enough to cover her tracks. a trick that tuff taught her.
I started watching it when I was 3 years old and My Family took me to watch The Hidden World (I cried my eyes out in the theatre) I got a poster up on my wall in my bedroom. Started watching Race to the Edge every day on Netflix and also tried to watch Defenders and Riders of Berk. How to Train Your Dragon was a HUGE Successful for me. I love Tuff and Ruff (The Twins) Tuff and Ruff act dumb but they are actually smart. How to Train Your Dragon was REALLY good It really showed how Hiccup lost a leg, Toothless came to know each other, and showed how Berk came from Hunters to actual Dragon Riders thanks to Hiccup. How to Train Your Dragon 2 is probs my Fav HTTYD Movie Hiccup finds his mom, Toothless Gets an AWESOME New Power, The Alpha is in it more, and also Hiccup becomes Chief, I haven't watched HTTYD: Homecoming yet tho.
Tuffnut, Ruffnut and Toothless are by far the smartest the nuts invented over half modern things including ice cream and ziplines while toothless understands practically way too much for a normal dragon or person
I think it's safe to say that Hiccup definitely deserved the top spot for intelligence. To think that not only he came up with the idea of training the dragons to be very resourceful in times of need, rarely lost focus of things when it came to ideas and battles, and pulling off one of the greatest but dangerous stunts possible against the Red Death and other vigorous foes, but he proved to not only his father, but to everyone, that dragons as allies are very resourceful, really reliable, and extremely talented when it comes to life and death, or any at all, situations.
Alvin didnt fight over valka with stoick, they fell out as Alvin got multiple people killed by disobeying stoicks orders m, during a monstrous nightmare attack, what i also like is how at times the twins are the smartest ones there like when they went to dark deep to get gronkles to stop the volcano

Viggo at number six is a joke. Let's start from the beginning, shall we? In "Maces and Talons" Viggo figured out that Heather was a spy the second he saw her if not before (don't forget that Hiccup himself thought that Heather was a Hunter until Astrid told him. Yes, I know Ryker was onto her, but that was after a month or two at least). He then let her think she had him fooled (By making it seem like he was hiring her to find the traitor and saying that he suspected Ryker and Dagur) and told her that he wanted her help capturing a Flightmare, knowing she would report this to the Riders hoping for an ambush. While Heather and the Riders thought that Heather and Viggo were coming alone, they were actually coming with an army. During the battle Viggo manages to capture Heather, Windshear and the Flightmare. While the battle was happening, Viggo sent the rest of his Hunters to steal the Dragon Eye (The Hunters failed to find it, but he would have gotten it if Ruff hadn't stolen it earlier). Then when Hiccup and the riders passed his test, (I like to think of the Typhoomerang fire thing was a test to see what he was up against) he lured Hiccup into a trap and ended up freezing him and Toothless with the Flightmare, and successfully stealing the Dragon Eye. He then uses the Fightmare's mist to burn away the filament and unlock the Dragon Eye without the use of a Snow Wraith key. In his next appearance in "Buffalord Soldier", Viggo gets several people infected with the Scourge of Odin (Which is crazy in itself because this pretty much implies that Viggo was able to create an insanely lethal plague) and sends them out to sea. Astrid then finds the boat and gets infected with the Scourge, (Viggo didn't exactly intend for Astrid in particular to find it, he just wanted someone to find it to cause another Scourge outbreak which would make him lots of money because he knew where to get the antidote. "It's simple really. Supply and demand. I knew where to get the supply, if I could only generate the demand") causing Hiccup and the Riders to go after the antidote. When Hiccup and the Riders run into Viggo, he confirms that it was his boat that Astrid found and was infected in. Anyway, Hiccup and the Riders defeat him because plot says that Viggo didn't know what the Buffalord would do when it was 100 feet from the island. We don't see much of his brilliance in "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" other than that he planned to build a dragon-proof stronghold. In "Last Auction Heroes" we see Viggo suspect Snotlout of not being who he claims to be (Sir Ulgerthrope), and being able to confirm his suspicions when he sees that Snotlout has a Berk coin. We then see Viggo successfully steal all of Berk's gold and then fool Hiccup into thinking he had thrown Berk's gold overboard, when really, it was a chest full of rocks (Side note: Hiccup nearly drowned trying to retrieve it). In "Defenders of the Wing" Viggo “proposed” a truce to Hiccup knowing that he would take the map used to show the turfs back to the Edge to "think about it", but signs the map before letting Hiccup take it. Hiccup thinks that Viggo wants to hide something on his side of the "game board" and that Viggo won't give up more territory than he has to so they think that the island closest to the line is what he's trying to hide. Viggo knows that Hiccup and the Riders will go to the island to investigate and he knows that the Defenders of the Wing will suspect them as Hunters due to them sneaking in and the map that he signed earlier. Then the Riders undergo a trial where they are found "guilty" and are sentenced to "the nest". Viggo probably assumed that the Rider's dragons would save them or that Hiccup would train them leading to the Defenders of the Wing trusting them and showing them around the village. While all of that was happening, Viggo and his Hunters sneak in and steal the Great Protector while having two of his Hunters tell the Riders that they went north when, in actuality, they went south. Then the Riders would follow a decoy ship, buying Viggo and the hunters time to get to the Edge with the Eruptodon where he would have the dragon destroy the Edge by, "eating through the crust of the dormant volcano until it erupts", the dormant volcano being the snow-capped mountain at Dragon's Edge. Then he stationed his Hunters at the Riders' own defenses that Astrid built. And in the process of all of this destroys the Defenders of the Wing village. Of course, plot had other plans but whatever. (Side Note: Viggo probably also accounted for the scenario of the Riders dying in the nest or being killed by Mala.) In "Midnight Scrum" he places a bounty on Hiccup's head but it was revealed to be fake at the end of the episode. In "Dire Straits" Viggo causes a famine on Berk by placing a Submarriper in the straits so that merchants can't get through, and because Berk has no gold they can't purchase anything. While Hiccup is trying to free the Submarriper, Viggo has his Hunters shoot their boulders into the water to rile up the Submarriper, which almost got Hiccup eaten by it and in the end Hiccup almost drowns. After the Submarriper saves Hiccup, Viggo along with Ryker escape on a dinghy being pulled by Seashockers (Of course, since the Riders would never hurt a dragon, they fall back). In "Gold Rush" Viggo captures Hiccup, Astrid, Snotlout, and the twins with a simple net trap (This is genius because the Riders would be expecting something more elaborate, so something as simple as a net is brilliant). Also Viggo created the first ironclad vessels a good 8 centuries early. Anyway Hiccup finds out where Viggo hid his Gold because plot erased the ancient ruins that were actually the gold in disguise from the map that Viggo gestured to. In "Twintuition" Viggo figures out that the twins had infiltrated Project Shellfire before anyone else. Viggo traps the Riders in a canal and almost drowns all of them before plot says that Tuff and Barf & Belch weren't in the canal and they finish off the dragon-proof chains. In "Shell Shocked" Viggo tells the Riders that Ryker had turned on him and that he needed their help to defeat him. He tells the Riders that he would tell them the location of the Dragon Eye and what Project Shellfire was (in short, a nuclear submarine. Viggo created the first nuclear submarine a good 9 centuries early). We don't see Viggo much after that until the end of part 1 when he gives Hiccup the Dragon Eye in exchange for help defeating his brother. When Hiccup finally allows Viggo to help, he summons a Submarriper to fight the Shellfire, as they're natural and hated enemies. The Shellfire wins the fight and Ryker meets his demise. Viggo then takes Astrid hostage to get the Dragon Eye back but plot says that Hiccup throws it into the Volcano and Viggo also falls in. Nothing notable in "Return of Thor Bonecrusher" or "Dawn of Destruction" aside from Viggo beginning attempts to retrieve the Dragon Eye from the volcano. In "Wings of War" Viggo uses Hiccup's diving bell to lower Hunters into the volcano to search for the Dragon Eye. Eventually he goes in himself and successfully retrieves it, however, It doesn't work but Viggo is able to fix it. When testing it after making repairs, he noticed Krogan lurking in the shadows with his knife and says "You'll have to do much better than that Krogan". When Krogan sends all the Flyers to attack the oncoming Riders, Viggo questions Krogan's tactics. In the end Viggo was right that it was a bad idea and they lost the Edge. In "Sins of the Past" Viggo informs Krogan that the lens they had stolen from Heather was very old and unique, and that if they broke it, they would never find another. In "In Plain Sight" Viggo scolds Krogan and Johann for not being able to see where the King of Dragons was, or, where it would be. He then explains that they need four more lenses to reveal the King of Dragons. Viggo comes up with the plan for Johann to get Hiccup to hand over the lenses that he has. In "Triple Cross" Viggo sent Hiccup a Terror Mail pretending to be Stoick who had found a Dragon Eye lens. Viggo then explains that Johann and Krogan tried to drop a mountain on him, and when Hiccup refuses to help him, he pretends to have poisoned Toothless with Red Oleander. Viggo then trains a Skrill using a dagger with the knowledge that a Skrill is drawn to metal due to its electrical properties. Viggo uses the Skrill as a distraction so that he and Hiccup can sneak into Johann's base. When confronted with Johann, Krogan, and several Hunters, Viggo pretends to betray Hiccup, but Hiccup already has the key to his cage. After failing to fool Johann and Krogan, Viggo meets back up with Hiccup and reveals that Red Oleander is harmless to dragons, and that he was saved by a dragon when Johann and Krogan tried to kill him, and that he'd come to respect dragons as equals, and that Hiccup had taught him that. Viggo then sacrifices himself for Hiccup and Toothless because Race to the Edge would be over at episode nine if Viggo was still alive. If this isn't enough to prove that Viggo is the smartest, I don't know what is. Viggo number 1 all the way
I'd say he is tied with Johann for smartest since Johann also fooled Hiccup many times and the whole archipelago. Johann also immediately figured out Viggo's plan for revenge and teaming up with Hiccup.
IMO I think stormfly is way too high hookfang is probably smarter than the rider and he understands the rider more than stormfly sure he’s stubborn but he’s smarter Great opinion though
Dude, sorry but Viggo is the most intellegant character in the series, he outwitted Hiccup constantly and flat out outsmarted Dagur in chess, plus making fools of everybody else, including Stoic, the only one that can be argued to be smarter than him is Hiccup and maybe Grimmal, but I don't think so. Viggo lead an empire, he's Grimmel but smarter.
Ruffnut and Tuffnut should be placed way higher in my opinion, because in the series they predicted stuff to happen multiple times. Like in one episode, they predicted that the garbage on the beach would be a huge problem in the future. They also seem to disobey Astrid in one episode, but they always just do it their own way.
9:53. Please watch the final two seasons of Race to the edge and then put him as fourth. If you don’t understand why, they watch the series and you will understand
I thought Johann would at least be number 5 I mean he outsmarted hiccup many times and even mildew could be in much better ranking I think the rest I was really good ranking it was a great video👍
Snotloud is actually smarter in person he just likes to joke his just not that serious and the twins should also be higher on the list they found out that Johan was the one who tricked them all.
If you were to do one of these lists for all the DreamWorks movie villains you would probably have Grimmel at the top or close to it given where you put him on this list here. And I would agree.
I think Gustav and Spitelout should be in the grade school category because of how Gustav fooled Dagur and because spiteout is one of stoick's most trusted friends so he must have some brains.
9:58 shouldnt johann be higher since he you know PLANNED TO TAKE OVER THE ARCHIPELAGO YEARS IN ADVANCED AND NEVER FALTERED UNTIL THE END WHEN HE GOT TO POWER HUNGRY
Viggo deserves to be genius’s like this man is the perfect villain in all of HTTYD , he can easily manipulate everyone around him, he is also an extreme smart war general.. this should be enough to rank him a genius and knowing all of his feats , he probably is as smart as grimmel .
My list 5.yohan (might be miss spell) 4. Fish legs 3. Grim 2. Viggo 1. Hiccup Yohan manged to fool the all so many times. He is a master of Disguise, and no one expected him he was the true villain hiding in plane site. Fish Legs is a master if knowledge all dragons. He helped the gang so Many times with all sorts, he is pretty good at crafting as well. Grim is the man he made hiccup run abandon Gus home and leave. He also Kept him on his toes coming up with plans no one could have guessed. He also knows his fear share if dragon facts. Vigo fooled hiccup the most hase out smarted him more times than every villain combined. He know his dragons how to strategize, get into the enemy's head, build and even ripeared the dragon eye. Hiccup has won everyone out smarted everyone built crazy contractions and is the dragon king almost being able to tame every dragon. He turned a hole village of people Frome dragon hates to dragon loves he has made his owne dragon eye and can fly. He was also the first person to free the dragons realizing they need to go he had the heart to say good bye to his beast friend.

It drives me crazy that people think that the twins are dumb. They are actually very smart. They just choose to not use their brains unless they need to. They like to mess around but that doesn’t mean they’re stupid
I honestly feel like you should of put Grimmel and Viggo higher. Viggo outsmarted hiccup for lord how knows long, and Grimmel, well, he was just smart as hell, and he was skilled too, so I honestly dont get how they weren't higher in the ranks- I mean, this I your opinion, but if I had to be honest, I dont know if you really watched HTTYD, or you just don't remember much-
I mostly agree except for one thing… vigo. To me he seemed like hiccups alter ego like the other side of the coin both knowing very useful things and knowledge but for different reasons. He knew a lot and wasn’t ever really down. Also where was crogan ( I would put him low)
Big Hero 6: The Series characters from good to evil Angelic: Baymax Good: Hiro Neutral/Good Enough: Alistair Krei Bad: Chief Diego Cruz Demonic: Dianne Amara
No way dagur is above heather. There has been times where I think dagur can be somewhat smart but other than that he’s close to dumb. While on the other hand we have seen heather with her very smart like mind (in my opinion) She always been a smarter rider similar to Astrid but no way she’s less intelligent than dagur. Let’s not forget that she joined the dragons riders to literally get information from the inside, fooling them all until viggo came. She’s also shown time and time again how smart she can be, but I do believe she belongs in the same spot with Astrid and that dagur deserves to be a little lower.
Krogan is average. He is not dumb, but he is not a genius, as he quite literally emptied his troops each time and wasted countless armadas that he could use in the future.

Hiccup definitely does NOT deserve to be in 1st place. Yes, while he is smart in the nerdy way, having lots of dragon knowledge and being quite the inventor, that's sort of like Fishlegs. He does extra points though for leadership and strategy making. But, he is naive and easily tricked. Also, I think a major reason for it being so inaccurate is because you took into account other factors that you judged them on like bravery and loyalty.
You made the right choice give the silver medal to Grimmal the Grisly and Grimmal is so very smart he wiped out every night fury and light fury except for 2 a male and a female fury’s.
No I still think this video is wrong, Grimmel should be replaced by Viggo. Grimmel is very smart but his fatal mistake is underestimating Hiccup's intelligent he's a lot arrogant than other villains
No, there are a few Light Furies actually. In HTTYD 3 there is a second Light Fury bowing to toothless and the original light fury. Close to when the Bewilderbeast is shown.
Finally a good list but let me give my own one. 1. Grimmel 2. Viggo 3. Hiccup 4. Johann 5. Gruffnut(Yes he is much smarter than taken for. He easily fooled Hiccup.) Viggo may be in number 1.

Yah
I would say the Vigo was smarter than hiccup. He outsmarted hiccupnseveral times. If he would want, he could kill hiccup
I agree Everyone Makes Mistakes, they learn then they do it correctly
Let's be real, Ruff and Tuff are ALOT smarter than we all think lol
Pls this is so true
Surprisingly, yes.
I agree with you
Lol same Tuff is my favourite Ruff is my Second, People think they are dumb but on the inside, they are a LOT smarter than people think.
That’s probably true. I’ve seen glimpses of intelligence from them they probably are too lazy to learn or are just dumbed down for comic relief
Viggo at 6 is a joke. He is easily smarter than Dagur, Stoick, Gothi and Grimmel. Grimmel fooled Hiccup one or two times. Viggo fooled Hiccup for MONTHS.

@@Earth-uu3nf The HTTYD Cartoon Network and Netflix series is pretty good too.
Viggo belongs in genius category, outsmarted hiccup almost everytime and had the most knowledge out of anyone else
He should be. Viggo and Grimmel both easily manipulate Hiccup.
Same 100%
Couldn’t say more about the twins
HOW THE HECK DID YOU WRITE A COMMENT SO BIG?!?!?!?
@@nickgangemi8880 it's a result of me going through a phase of watching everything related to the series, I can get over invested sometimes xD
also the twins seem to discuss alot of quite complex scientific concepts for that time, such as gravity and air resistance, symbiotic and asymbiotic relationships, astronomy etc.

I agree with both of you
I feel like Snotlout should be higher up. I mean he is pretty intelligent. He was able to replace Hiccups leg with a skeleton leg when they were trapped in a sand buster den, was able to build the sheep launcher, and has worked in the Forges, meaning that he probably knows how to make weapons.
Training Day good to evil

Viggo should be gold, not silver.
That doesn't make sense. Grimmel had a movie and Viggo literally had four seasons. They HAD to kill Grimmel in a 2 hour movie.
@@reginaldgladney7855 He should be first, right ahead of Viggo.

Lol. The twins are very smart.

(Side Note: Viggo probably also accounted for the scenario of the Riders dying in the nest or being killed by Mala.)
In "Midnight Scrum" he places a bounty on Hiccup's head but it was revealed to be fake at the end of the episode.

Viggo outsmarted hiccup for lord how knows long, and Grimmel, well, he was just smart as hell, and he was skilled too, so I honestly dont get how they weren't higher in the ranks- I mean, this I your opinion, but if I had to be honest, I dont know if you really watched HTTYD, or you just don't remember much-
I bet he didn't watch RTTE. Otherwise he wouldn't underrate Viggo like that. I mean WHY????
Do Shrek dumb to briliant
Dumb: Dragon
Kind of smart: Shrek
Smart: Fiona
Very smart: Fairy Godmother
Briliant: Ruplestilscan
I mentioned this!
Viggo should be the smartest in my opinion.

I think Viggo should have been higher in my opinion but I love that ruff and tuff are higher
I mostly agree except for one thing… vigo. To me he seemed like hiccups alter ego like the other side of the coin both knowing very useful things and knowledge but for different reasons. He knew a lot and wasn’t ever really down. Also where was crogan ( I would put him low)
You mean Viggo.
0:42, actually his name is not Spitlout, it's Spitelout. Spite, which means to hate or be petty to, not Spit. Sorry

I think Drago Bludvist, Eret, and Fishlegs are smarter then Ryker and I also think Viggo is smarter then Dagur.
Viggo is WAYYY smarter than Dagur. Dagur acts dumb while Viggo is the complete opposite.
Great video. You should do Johnny Test characters good to evil
Yes he should!
Why doesn’t crogan ever get mentioned or ranked on these videos
What about krogan ?

Vigo should be a lot higher I think he should be 3rd 2nd or1st Vigo is very smart
1. Viggo
2. Hiccup
3. Johann
4. Grimmel
Johann is second, he figured out Viggo and easily outsmarted Hiccup the whole time.
Finally a good list but let me give my own one.
1. Grimmel
2. Viggo
3. Hiccup
4. Johann
5. Gruffnut(Yes he is much smarter than taken for. He easily fooled Hiccup.)
Viggo may be in number 1.

I agree that Hiccup gets the gold metal in brains, though I would have ranked Snoutlout at the bottom because of his arrogance. Gobber I would say is more wise than smart
Snotlout is smart enough, he just doesn’t get the chance, remember the ending of the episode “Not lout”of Race To The Edge ? He literally saved hiccup 2 times
@@sandcastle6520 Only after he screwed up three dozen times because he's too full of himself. He's just jealous of Hiccup let's be honest. Anyone can have a lucky day. In my opinion Snoutlout is just a fool and a blockhead
He still has some decent character development
Hiccup is NOT smarter than Viggo and Grimmel.
