How strange is that people watch Jinjer reactions JUST to see people be shocked, and for that ONLY. God I hope they were being sarcastic down there lol Don't know about you guys, but my favorite part of Jinjer reactions are the reactors appreciating and recognizing Tatiana's talent, and giving credit to the metal/rock genres (like this video here). Like the surprise is funny and all, but I'd rather see someone appreciate what Tati can do instead of laughing at and doubting her abilities 🤷🏽♀️ could just be me though lol

I absolutely LOVE normal people's reaction to the switch, just the shock of it on their face, of Tati (first Jinjer reaction I saw was a Vocal coach) but I love watching Vocal Coaches or Music Teacher or band member or anybody from the music industry that knows anything about singing even more because there's the shock yes, but even for those that dont like the music of Jinjer there's the RESPECT for Tati and the talent she has and effort she's put into her sound.

It didn't work out with her, but maybe only because I wasn't aggressive enough with asking for her hand in marriage (which was a cultural difference).
You might want to try the oogie boogie song by another five man group (can't remember name at present) but if you loved the deep voice of the bass in man of constant sorrow, you probably need change your pants when the bass in that group goes deep

Now I genuinely love growls and other heavy vocals, but what first got me into them was indeed the bittersweet contrast that made the cleans even better. I appreciate your infatuation with her, I think we all can concur.
Yes, the growl can be mind blowing. In this song, though, the word “skittish” and the word “Sunbeam” are moments of glory. I will never hear those two words the same way again after having heard her sing them. Not new to me now, but sometimes tears well up in my eyes when she delivers that belt of sunbeam.
As others mentioned, you definitely need to check out the recent One Take, studio version of “Judgement & Punishment”. You will definitely see a personality change, each time she switches from Clean to a Growl
Not to mention her girl crush growing once she sees her in that bikini top

I also appreciated your comments about the other band members because they are amazing as well and I think they get overlooked at least in the reactions that I have seen.
"I Speak Astonomy" (official music video) will be a kickass choice for the next one.
I normally don't like growling, but I do like this, it offers the contrast between the hard and soft making this song so much bigger.
Especially the end where she moves from soft to growl to belt and then back to growl. I just wish there was another belt part in that segment.

Great reaction, as always! Your comments are spot on. Very insightfull, educational for amateurs like me, and lots of fun. The "cards" correcting your misspelling got me laughing out loud :) Tatiana and of course the whole band are just something else, real talent and skills!
As for the song, it´s a thing of beauty and you nailed the overall theme: It´s about Tatiana´s zodiac sign "Pisces" that is associated with duality and bipolarism. That´s why, as you pointed out, the song is so distinctly divided in slow and mellow section and fast and furious section, exactly to capture that constant contrast of feelings. Tatiana herself already admited she sometimes struggles with those mental problems leading to depression. And the lyrics just help to convey it even more.
My recomendations:
- The "Judgement & Punishment" One Take Vocal is a must listen not only because it showcases those mind-blowing switches from clean to growl or vice-versa but the song itself has a diferent vibe of what you heard so far from them. Very cool.
- If your looking for another epic live performance, "Who´s Gonna Be The One" live is a blast and comes with a twist.
- And "I Speak Astronomy" official video for a beautiful journey.
Oh, one more thing, that bit you did at 05:22 gave me chills! Is that a start of a future cover? ;) Would love to see you pull that off, even if just the clean parts!

Jinjer in their entirety are unbelievably talented. Tati has shock value, sure. But her actual vocal abilities are so incredible. The power and emotion she puts behind both lyrics and vocals? Blows me away every time. Then you get Vlad, Roman, and Eugene. Without the immense talent of the people providing the music, and the creativity of all 4 members? We wouldn't get videos like this, reacting to and commenting on this talent. Because the music wouldn't exist, and that would be a shame, because there is so much to enjoy.

This woman is mind blowing, multiple ranges and kills them all. HANDS DOWN game changer. The band in total is amazing. I just recently discovered this band and to find out they have been around for over a decade and I'm just now discovering them is mind blowing to me lol. I really hope she does more songs like this; has to be one of my favorites. That said I really dig the reggae vibe she put down in Judgement & Punishment.

I never get tired of looking and listening to Tatiana. she is my favorite singer. she has a special gift to captivate people with her way of looking and her way of singing. but most of all through her appearance. this song in particular is brilliant and shows what kind of talent she has. I also love their quieter tones because their particularly beautiful voice comes out of it. the part where it gets louder is just as awesome. the musicians are also very brilliant because they are masters of their instruments. this song in particular shows what kind of harmony there is between all of them and the singer. Tatiana is very attractive, so you have to fall in love with her. Katriinka is also very pretty and I love to watch her reactions.

Oh, Katriinka! I think you've got it exactly right about this song, and how it, among other things, showcases Tati's ability to switch from one mood to another seemingly at will. Yes, she's gifted, but I suspect that gift is only delivered so well through the application of a lot of hard work.

Nailed it - Tati is unique. My two favorite vocalists - Floor Jansen and Tatiana! So different... yet... both command your attention and totally own the stage. By far two of the best concerts of my life and I have seen a lot of music over 50 years... Jinjer are tight as a band... Vlad, if you listen (I know you do), the ghost beats are hidden but there... Roman shreds, but really supports Eugene on bass - where it normally is the other way around. Kudo's to both for their inverse roles! Jinjer is my favorite band. Such talent and unique sound.

So.... I came here from your reaction to Nightwish (GLS), which are the only reactions of yours that I've seen (so far...). I was _mildly_ disappointed that you were already familiar with Jinjer, so I wasn't going to get the shock reaction. But the reaction/analysis you DID more than make up for that "lack". As others have already said, a reaction to « her » one take performance of Judgement and Punisment is really a good idea.
Jinjer is a band and all members are very skilled musicians, and their videos show all members shine. But this particular video is Tatiana only with the song music. I may be wrong, but having look at many reactions, there are many who suppose it is not her voice, it is just post production. So I think it could be a bit because of it, to show what she do and without any distraction, without post production, only her signing captured by a fixed camera.
It is very impressive.
So, for a vocal coatch point of view, I suppose it should be interesting to react because even a non-signer like me can figure the use of many vocal technics and an incredible amount of practice to arrive at her actual level.
Tatiana changed my appreciation for growls and screams forever. I didn't like them at all before and because of her brilliance I actually love them when they are used by highly skilled vocalists, especially those amazing females like Tatiana who have learned these difficult techniques.
If you haven't been introduced, I highly recommend Courtney Laplante in her band Spiritbox. Courtney and Tatiana are the most exciting vocalists who move effortlessly through very different styles. The one take live videos that Courtney has released recently are excellent to analyze and admire her skill.
Either way, I love your metal reactions and I can't wait for the next one whenever it comes out.

I really enjoyed your take on the melodic contrast of the song, I always focused on the duality of the lyrics but hadn't realized it was happening in the music as well. Also, I feel seen, on the first time I watched this music video I had an instant crush on Tatiana too lol

But this was the best by far, you rock girl.. and just so you know, Tatiana is my favorite female vocalist, by far. the song was about Pisces, the horoscope sign. The other side of the contrast in styles, having seen nearly every reaction to this song on YT (who knows, it is possible I might have missed one haha) is that people don't freak out the first time she starts singing, though basically everyone is fairly wowed by it. But after the growl, most people are almost as shocked by the return to her cleans as they were by the growls. Incidentally, I love the first clean lines after she growls the first time "no promises I ever give, don't rely on me and I won't deceive" like she didn't trick anyone with those growls, it was their fault for assuming she'd always be sugar and spice. ;) And as nearly everyone has already said, the one-take video of her singing Judgement & Punishment is fiiiiiiire!

@@Katriinka oh, yes. :) She has many many dimensions. :D And omg her lyrics. It is rare enough for me to find actual wisdom in a singer's work, incredible when I find bits of wisdom in multiple songs.
Or, the people who's first ever exposure to Jinjer is Perrenial live or WGBTO live. If they have a metal background they might just be deeply appreciative of the growls and the real shock comes at the first switch to cleans.
It happens on the belt too. That is the third shock. Just when people though they've seen both sides, Tatiana pulls another trick out and people's jaws drop. The "Wait... There's more?!" reaction is often my favorite.
GET HELP JEFFERY. GET REAL HELP. There is more to life than commenting on Jinjer, ITM and all the other women fronted bands. None of these youtubers will sleep with you just because you support women vocalists.

In this listen, rate the composition Overlord at Lamb of God
To me, this song is a great mix of Tati's cleans, her growls, and the band. What I love about the video, on the band side, is Roman (guitar) and Eugene (bass) sitting there chill throughout the whole video no matter if it's during the verses or the chorus. Perennial, which you've already done Katriinka :), I think shows off the entire band's just raw power, it being the last song of the set and everything, I was going to say Tatiana's pure power but when you talk about this band it's a serious disservice to not include Roman, Eugene, and Vlad because they are all bad asses. Teacher Teacher is good for hearing quick transitions from cleans to growls and back. Who Is Gonna Be The One, official live, to me, is just amazing for really paying attention to the band's musicianship as well as the transformation Tati undergoes behind the mic, she just seems to me to come alive, along with how DEEP she can go.
