Me too - I hated harsh metal vocals until Jinjer - I called them "cookie monster vocals". But Tatiana is something else entirely. A true master of her craft.
Theres a slight difference between female and male screams, lot of people find female vocals nicer. Makes jinjer and spiritbox a great transition band to their male counterparts
Shes almost fully opening her vocal chords very low and using her diaphram to power that sound. Shes actually barely using her vocal chords and thus doesn't strain them to sing whens she's growling. Watch her neck when shes screaming. You don't see the veins distending like when you see most vocalists straining their vocal chords to scream. She has incredible talent and technique. Also the while she is the most upfront aspect of the band, the other members are ALL breath taking musicians in technique and writing.
Her vocals on vortex were above and beyond! She's always been stunning, but she found another level! Teacher teacher is still my favorite Jinjer track though.
Awesome! a 3-fer!!! Tatiana always steals the show, but the band is just so tight and off-beat in their playing - it really is a sound unto itself. I just adore seeing the joy and confusion on peoples faces when they encounter Jinjer. They have some really hard, agressive songs and some more mellow songs as well. The ultimate experience is seeing them live - at least in a video. Want another 3? Check out; Perennial - Live at Whacken Who Is Going To Be The One - Live OMV Pit Of Consciousness - Live in Kiev Please remember to pray for the outstanding people of Ukraine 🙏
I didn't notice the length of the clip, so the 3-fer was a great surprise! The song Home Back is their response to war in their homeland. Great reaction!
The videos "Perennial Live at Wacken Open Air" and "Captain Clock live at Resurrection Fest" are both really good live performances from her. Basically both are five minutes of Tatiana flavored girl power. Another good one is her Judgement and Punishment one take vocal. Pit of Consciousness live is good too. There are a lot more but those are a good start.
One of the best tatiana live performances is of "I speak astronomy" at Summer Breeze. She can occasionally be pitchy in the clean vocals, but that was on point and very sultry.
Just gonna say as a DIEHARD Jinjer fan that they never put a bad song out. I have my favorites, but I love all of their stuff NOT just because I am biased and all of that, but because they are truly experts at their craft, all four of them. I have said since I first got into Jinjer immediately when I first heard "Pisces", that I would gladly promote this band for free for life and I do & I always will. They will change your life.
Yeah, Jinjer plays around with timings a lot. Took me a bit to get used to that, at least in their more complex songs, but now I feel I'm addicted to it. They are from the Ukraine, which as we've all learned is probably the most prominent 3rd world country, not being a part of NATO, not being a part of Russia. Literally the boundery bewteen the two. So 3rd world Music problems too
Welcome to Jinjer. Tatiana is a vocal goddess and the band is topshelf. To appreciate how good this band is react to their live performances. I recommend "Perennial" live at Wacken, "Pit of Consciousness" live in Kyiv or my favourite 'Who is going to be the One" (Live, Napalm Records). Currently Tatiana is safe in the US but the rest of the band are in Kyiv either organizing aid or training to defend Ukraine. Great reaction and yes they switch timing a lot. (subbed) 💙💛🌻
Jinjer is truly a heavy metal band that isn't afraid to integrate many forms and styles. They are very talented as a whole band with unbelievable timing and skill. Many bands struggle with their ability to even stay on time. These guys are amazing and I hope their future stays strong. Love these guys.
To me, metal music is the pinnacle of music because of the depth of musical talent and blend of extremes that it allows. It's primal, true and gritty but also beautiful at the same time. Those mixed emotions get me everytime.
agree, the closest thing to technical metal is Classical music. Vlad, the drummer is a classically trained pianist, that wrote most of the songs on this album, a lot of people don't realize the complexity in extreme metal and just discard it as screamo angst trash, but in reality, it is the most expressive and technical form of music.
Seeing jinjer live in 2019 was absolutely stunning. I drove an hour from college after a full day of work and class. Was dead tired by the end of it but it was easily the best concert I ever attended
Thank you for your great reaction. Jinjer are a band from the Ukraine, they are: Tatiana on Vocals, Roman on Guitar, Eugene is the Bassist, Vlad is the Drummer. Other tracks to check out by them are: 'Perennial' live at Wacken open air festival 2019, 'Judgement (and Punishment) Tatiana's one-take vocal version, 'Who Is Going To Be The One' live, 'I Speak Astronomy' the official video, this is an older track with their pervious Drummer, Dimitry, he had to leave the band due to a back injury, 'On The Top' and 'Pit Of Consciousness' both live in Kiev. There's another track to check out too, 'Home Back' the official video, this is a protest song about the conflict in their homeland, when Putin annexed the Crimea and the Donesk region of the Ukraine in 2014 where they used to live, they moved to Kiev/Kyiv for safety.
I've been into Jinjer and Tatiana for four years and she still gives me goosebumps when I hear her.....just a phenomenal band. Tatiana is the best vocalist I have ever heard live...she's fantastic.
If you're just getting started into the world of Female Metal vocalists you are in for one hell of an amazing journey, some of the finest female vocal talent around is to be found and as Tattiana just proved, it's not all growling.... subscribed on the basis that you will get to Floor Jansen, Simone Simons, Tarja Turunen and the rest of Metal's amazing Female talent 😊
I'm not strictly speaking a Nightwish fan but Ghost Love Score official live (the one with more views, which at Wacken though the title doesn't say so) is one that you really have to hear and see. The other version in Argentina is great too and watching the guitarist fanboying over the new singer's performance is incredibly endearing - but a lot of NW fans will say you did the "wrong" one. :p
@@j.f.fisher5318 Yes please! Please react to Nightwish - Ghost Love Score, you find the video here: ua-cam.com/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/v-deo.html And thanks for the reaction Jami! Regards from Sweden Ulf
Hi @@Inferiis . I do get your point but.... both Floor Jansen and Simone Simons have had similar Classical and Operatic training but you'd never not call either of them a "Metal" singer. I know it's because Tarja tends to stick to the operatic approach where as the other two have a much more varied approach to their Metal vocals, but Tarja has been singing in Metal bands for more than a quarter of a century, whatever her approach to say she's not a metal singer..... well ya know, interesting debate😀
I must say, I love your format of doing more than one song in one video. Definitely do more Jinjer. A couple of my favorites are “I Speak Astronomy” and “Outlander”. ❤️🇺🇦СЛАВА УКРАЇНІ!🇺🇦❤️

the most amazing thing about this band is how are they not one of the most famous bands in Rock/Heavy Metal playing right now? The talent is undeniable, the music is fresh and they have their own unique sound in a world of processed audio mush, and her frontpersonship performances are truly entertaining at a masterful level. They kill it live, in the studio and they go out of their way to support building their fan base through non traditional means like supporting reaction channels, doing tons of interviews and their tour schedule (when Ukraine isn't being invaded) is jammed packed with dates and venues. It is only a matter of time before they reach the top where they belong in the music world. I love their tracks, Outlander, Ape, & Cloud Factory as being just energy filled gifts to be listened to absorbed and the energy applied as you see fit. Who needs coffee when you have Jinjer? Given your background, I would strongly suggest Beggar's Dance...you won't be disappointed
Both Tatiana and Courtney are on a league of their own, but let’s face it, both have amazing musicians behind them. Such different styles between Spiritbox and Jinjer but the feelings they provide are similar. They both lead you to this false sense of security and then all of a sudden it’s “release the kraken” mode. Nice reactions and keep them coming, we will be here for the journey.
See them in their best element Live.A band that sounds as good or better live than studio is pretty rare and the bonus of Tatiana’s stage presence.Who is gonna be the one live Napalm records is an open air daytime performance and Pit of Consciousness live Kiev in 2019 Ukraine home crowd are two of their best

Jinjer definitely mixes a lot of styles..... Very hard to genre tag, though if I was trying, I'd probably label them progressive death metal as the closest
@@kevinfeeney5309 yeah, considering the massive mix of styles progressive absolutely needs that tag.... In a world of multiple tags, even in prog, it's a little hard to pinpoint
Great reactions young lady. You're not a "loser" trying to figure out and react to metal music LOL 😄😄 Jinjer is a phenomenal band, Tatiana gets the most attention because of her incredible vocals, but the guys, Eugene (bass), Roman (guitar), and Vlad (drums) are equally phenomenal, they compliment each other perfectly. I had the pleasure of seeing and meeting Jinjer last October in Los Angeles, the concert was pure 🔥🔥🔥 and they were some of the nicest, down to earth, and humble human beings. It's funny because when I was talking to them, I told them how excited I was to see them perform for the first time, they each told me thank you, and Tati told me, "I'm excited too, and nervous" I told her nervous? why? you've been performing for a long time. She told me that no matter how many times she performs, she always gets nervous before a show, you definitely wouldn't know it when she hits that stage. Hopefully you'll react to more Jinjer, you definitely need to see a live video, I'm going to suggest Perennial live at Wacken open air 2019, I also think you would really like Wallflower (OMV), and I Speak Astronomy (OMV) But then again, every Jinjer song is fantastic, at least in my opinion. Keep up the great reactions, and as always, stay Metal young lady. 😊😊🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶
A little backstory: Jinjer are from Donetsk in Ukraine. They only really started blowing up when war in 2014 basically forced them out of their city and they started touring all the time. Tati (the singer) lives in the US now with her husband, but the rest live in Kyiv, and war eventually followed them there. I don't normally like listening to music that switches time signatures a lot, as in this song they're constantly switching between 4/4, 7/8, 6/8, and what I call '8/8' (when you are basically playing mismatched measures of 4/4). However, Jinjer makes it work for me sometimes, and they do seem like wonderful people. And they are bitchin' musicians.
Holy Cow! 3 x reactions in the first Jinjer listen! That may be a first...kudos! Liked and sub'd. Jinjer literally has no bad/meh songs so...more Jinjer please and thank you!
They just released new one "call me a symbol". It's awesome, too. If you get the chance to see them live, do it. Got to meet them last year. I love them!
I am always amazed at Tatiana 's singing just due to the fact she is a native Russian speaker. She has better English than many English speaking singers
You really need to watch the live clips "who is gonna be the one"live and "perennial" live at Wacken, Tatiana rules the stage!! also as a singer you would appreciate Tatiana's one take vocal performance of "judgement and punishment " as well as Courtney LaPlante with SPIRITBOX one take vocal performance of"rule of nines " maybe you could put those two in a video together
Hey Jami. Jinjer, always good, nice reaction. Her growling is fantastic, maybe to heavy for me. I 'm a huge fan of Floor Jansen, the singer of the band NIghtwish. For me is Floor Jansen the most versatile female singer in the world. Listen and react to the song Ghost Love Score (Wacken 2013) and you hear why. For a popsinger as you it's a collegetour how to sing. Greetings from The Netherlands
The whole band is ridiculously talented, and I'm a huge fan, but there is nothing quite like watching Tatiana prowl the stage like a sleek panther seeking prey. She's phenomenal.
It’s not over till lead singer Femme Fatale Tatiana Shmailyuk gets the WALL OF DEATH!!!! Wait what, the drummer is using “DOUBLE BUTTED STICKS “meaning there is no tip-end of the drum stick, nice!!
Jinjer is awesome! They also combine prog metal with reggae and it works ; D Tatiana said her influence at a time were Guano Apes. Check out song Perrenial!
Great reaction!! I would love to see beggars dance in you're next Jinjer reaction. It's only 2 minutes long and completely different than anything else they've ever done. (Not heavy, but very upbeat) it's of of King of everything. 😃
First time here. This was a great change to the reaction format. Please do more Jinjer. I’d highly recommend Home Back, Perennial (live at Waken), Judgement and Punishment. Those three have so much variety and encapsulates so much of what they are capable of as a band.
The musical talent crammed into Jinjer is Mind ... bLowing ... every time! Nice trio of videos, showcasing the last 5-6 years of their work. This is a rabbit-hole of epic proportions, but do fall in! Watch it all!
Triple feature - including “Teacher Teacher”: I like it. I also am intrigued by a Courtney/Tatiana duet. If Spiritbox and Jinjer ever go on tour, let’s go🤟🏼✊🎵😘!
Pisces was the first Jinjer song that I ever listened to and I really wasn’t sure about it. The second song I ever listened to was Teacher Teacher and that was the beginning of my obsession with Jinjer!! 🤘😆🤘
A triple react very surprising! Love it! Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole. Don't worry, you literally cannot choose a wrong song from them. All of their stuff is phenomenal.
nice to see you branch out of the normal generic music into the realm of the unique, Jinjer is a good start you may also like Nightwishn(start with Ghost Love Score live at Wacken Open Air 2013) , Epica (both are symphonic metal bands), and Babymetal (they are a Jpop metal band with choreography, which has never been done before) watch a couple live shows first before watching The Guide to Babymetal, these are all bands that are better live vs Studio, which again is rare
Wow, 3 songs - you're spoiling us. :) Fun reaction and you are in good company with your enjoyment of Teacher Teacher. Lots more from them and I can't recommend watching them on stage highly enough. Wacken just released a video of their performance of one of their few love songs called I Speak Astronomy that is all nerdy astronomical double meanings, which Tatiana wrote as a call to the universe to find someone she's mentally and spiritually compatible with. Perennial from the same show is also great. Too many more awesome stage show videos to list them. I've seen them twice and was even more impressed by the reality. They are still an up and coming band playing intimate clubs, so if you get a chance to see them (after the war is over and hopefully they all make it through okay) it would be very well worth it. One of their most important, even before the war is Home Back, an anti-war song based on their experiences when their hometown was caught in the 2014 war which forced them to move to Kyiv. It speaks powerfully for the millions of ordinary people caught in every war. Tatiana is in the US with husband Alex Lopez of Suicide Silence, but the guys are in Kyiv doing what they can to raise money to support their nation, and in line for mobilization though without military backgrounds they are at the back of said line. Subbed. Cheers!
I never get tired of reactions to Pisces 😁 I respect that you noticed how good the rest of the band is so quickly. They're all equally important to the band, even if Tatiana is the most noticeable person at first. You know, people are usually speechless after Pisces. You're really overloading yourself by doing 3 videos in a row!
I love how the head shakes from left to right in disbelieve changed into head banging already a song later. Jinjer are amazing, Tatiana is often called the metal queen, those vocals.
Teacher Teacher is my favorite. It has a great balance of clean vocals and grawls with seamless transitions. They are so skilled. Tatiana is unbelievable. So captivating Each song is very different and cool in its own way. Especially once you understand the meaning behind the lyrics. Suggest Perennial live at Wacken. Her stage presence is amazing. I really hope the band members still in Ukraine are able to remain safe and this unjustified war on their country is over soon. Far too much death and destruction.
I love watching reactions to this song! 🤣 I saw them live back in November. Such an awesome live band! I caught COVID at the show...but it was worth it. 😂😂 Can't wait until they come around again. Prayers to their families and all the people of the Ukraine!!! 💙💛
Tatina is vocal perfection is she is changing minds about metal. So much talent in this band and a few others like Twelve Foot Ninja which go largely undiscovered in a sea of mediocrity swelling with talentless pop and rap artists repackaging the same tired, immature crap. This is raw, emotional, powerful, and vulnerable composition, playing skills and vocals that evokes a visceral reaction that transcends sound alone. Thanks for being open minded to the greatness that is Jinjer!!!
I wasn't a fan of extreme vocals until I heard her. I am now a HUGE Jinjer fan. She is mezmerizing and so so talented.
Me too - I hated harsh metal vocals until Jinjer - I called them "cookie monster vocals". But Tatiana is something else entirely. A true master of her craft.

I love me some time signature switches, Prog Metal is one of my favorite subgenres.
More backstory. It was UAF and Asov who were shelling and bombing donetsk.
Definitely check their song Perennial Live or Music Video doesn't matter!!! Other must hear tracks are: I speak astronomy and Judgment & Punishment
Jinjer reactions never get old 🤘🤘 Great reaction video 🤘🤘🤘
I am always amazed at Tatiana 's singing just due to the fact she is a native Russian speaker. She has better English than many English speaking singers
You really need to watch the live clips "who is gonna be the one"live and "perennial" live at Wacken, Tatiana rules the stage!!
also as a singer you would appreciate Tatiana's one take vocal performance of "judgement and punishment " as well as Courtney LaPlante with SPIRITBOX one take vocal performance of"rule of nines " maybe you could put those two in a video together
OMG, there is so much more for you to experience from Jinjer. Enjoy the ride.
First time reacting to Jinjer Priceless.
"Pop singer reacts.." This is what musical talent truly looks like.
"This life is not a prison / and you are not a warden" Her lyrics are shockingly good and Russian is her first language. What a talent.
Every once in awhile you turn over a big rock and discover someone under there that still hasn’t heard Tatiana & Jinjer yet. 😂😂
Ughhh. To me , floor is so over rated. But I can't stand symphonic metal.
@@tyef572 Hey Tye, listen to her new song Fire, no metal, no rock, easy listening. Floor can sing what she want.
Wait what, the drummer is using “DOUBLE BUTTED STICKS “meaning there is no tip-end of the drum stick, nice!!
vortex might be my fav jinjer song.... so complex and everyone swirling with controlled chaos
They have 6 AMAZING albums!!!!😈🤘
Part of my brain just exploded at the idea of a Courtney/Tatiana collaboration. Holy fxxk, that would be insane.
Jinjer is awesome! They also combine prog metal with reggae and it works ; D Tatiana said her influence at a time were Guano Apes. Check out song Perrenial!
and Judgment and punishment
Great reaction!!
I would love to see beggars dance in you're next Jinjer reaction. It's only 2 minutes long and completely different than anything else they've ever done. (Not heavy, but very upbeat) it's of of King of everything. 😃
Awesome! Three songs in a row. She is a one of a kind and uses so many music genres I their music styles. Keep on rolling with more Jinjer!🙏🏼🌹
Love watching people experience a band like Jinjer for the first time. You're doing great! Keep the videos coming
First time here. This was a great change to the reaction format. Please do more Jinjer. I’d highly recommend Home Back, Perennial (live at Waken), Judgement and Punishment. Those three have so much variety and encapsulates so much of what they are capable of as a band.
I love your multiple song format... subbed after watching Spiritbox and Jinjer videos...I'm here for more more more of both bands 🖤
9:57 that growl is lower than a lot of male metal singers can go lol. Tati is a beast.
The musical talent crammed into Jinjer is Mind ... bLowing ... every time! Nice trio of videos, showcasing the last 5-6 years of their work. This is a rabbit-hole of epic proportions, but do fall in! Watch it all!
Love the triple feature! Thanks for checking out the best band around today. Jinjer, and Spirit Box would a dream tour for me.
Friking love this song. It has so much Melody to it. Great video. My jaw dropped the same way, the first time I heard this song.
Loved this reaction 🙏🏾🙏🏾🌹🌹❤️
Nice lineup! Great reactions! 🔥🤘🔥
Awesome reaction! I am looking forward to seeing your journey into the genre.
Tatiana is a Goddess!!!!! The band on the other hand is beyond talented.....
A triple react very surprising! Love it! Welcome to the Jinjer rabbit hole. Don't worry, you literally cannot choose a wrong song from them. All of their stuff is phenomenal.
Awesome reaction, loved your surprised facial expressions \m/.
nice to see you branch out of the normal generic music into the realm of the unique, Jinjer is a good start you may also like Nightwishn(start with Ghost Love Score live at Wacken Open Air 2013) , Epica (both are symphonic metal bands), and Babymetal (they are a Jpop metal band with choreography, which has never been done before) watch a couple live shows first before watching The Guide to Babymetal, these are all bands that are better live vs Studio, which again is rare
Lovebites (start with "Swan Song" or "Holy war" live)
The Hu (start with "Song of Women" ft Lzzy Hale, "Sad but True", "wolf totem", "yuve yuve yu)
Subbed. Cheers!
Jinjer being from Ukraine this is such a great representation of what is happening to their country.
I saw them in concert last October, they sound just as good in person even a place without good acoustics
Great reaction. Well done!
I love how the head shakes from left to right in disbelieve changed into head banging already a song later. Jinjer are amazing, Tatiana is often called the metal queen, those vocals.
loved your reaction video. i could tell how much you enjoyed Tatianna's singing by seeing your eyes light up. your a gem, ty
Teacher Teacher is my favorite.
It has a great balance of clean vocals and grawls with seamless transitions.
They are so skilled. Tatiana is unbelievable. So captivating
Each song is very different and cool in its own way. Especially once you understand the meaning behind the lyrics. Suggest Perennial live at Wacken. Her stage presence is amazing.
I really hope the band members still in Ukraine are able to remain safe and this unjustified war on their country is over soon. Far too much death and destruction.
The classic jaw dropped moment on every Jinjer Pisces reaction videos 🤣
I love watching reactions to this song! 🤣 I saw them live back in November. Such an awesome live band! I caught COVID at the show...but it was worth it. 😂😂 Can't wait until they come around again. Prayers to their families and all the people of the Ukraine!!! 💙💛
I spent so long just watching reactions to the beginning I forgot how intense and chilling the entire second half is.
In hope for more Great Jinjer reactions...Subbed🤘
I will never get tired of watching people react to Pisces.
Thanks for being open minded to the greatness that is Jinjer!!!
this is the kind of thing make Metalhead love Metal !!!
SURPRISE!💙💙😀😀
