Jinjer is the band and Tatiana is the singer who could help you to like this kind of music. There're many fans of Jinjer (including me) who weren't really into growls until they didn't face this band and dove into their music a bit deeper. That's because of the band's versatility. The guys and Tatiana can perform kinda any musical genre and they combine many of them in their songs. They are mixing jazz, reggae, bossa nova, some rap, some fusion etc with different kinds of heavy metal and it works in an unexpectedly great way.
So yeah, if you'll dive deeper it's possible that you'll use to the harsh vocals and start to like this kind of music.
Keep in mind also that their songs usually has a deep meaningful lyrics.

Your face was a picture when Tatiana started growling 😂, she gets everyone like that first time hearing her. Either Perennial Live from Wacken or Judgement and Punishment one take would be a great follow up, give those two a try and see if you like them!

🔥Welcome to Jinjer, Zoey! I just found your channel, saw your Jinjer reaction and subbed, great reaction and growl! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics!
The first time I heard Pisces in 2019, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wake up alarm for a few years and I still love it more every time I hear it, snooze is a thing of the past).

Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs!
My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and "that was more unexpected than my first child" 🤣
All four current members of Jinjer have essentially no formal musical training except Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the latest album Wallflowers. Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs.
Jinjer has been a tour-heavy band, touring almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020 and much of the time since then (with interruptions by covid and the US backed coup/proxy war), hard work that has made them fantastic live performers. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine (Donetsk) in 2008 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see their former guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, in older videos on guitar and a more recent video (Disclosure) playing an interrogator.
One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, Dip A Sail, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that could do well together in one reaction if you're so inclined).
I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken 2019, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official is the studio audio with some great footage from several shows), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video).

Lol Jinjer is ukrainian proggy djent groove metal with complex time-signature maze, polyrhythms and multi-genre blending. They are one of the most talented 4-pieces ever. Tati is one of the best overall metal vocalists and lyricists in the business.

Tatiana is (if you ask me) THE BEST female growler/screamer in metal today, hands down.
And I've heard most of them.
Bands like Jinjer and Epica use harsh vocals strategically for dramatic effect... it's one more tool in the toolbelt just like belting that high note which Simone and Floor are so good at. After a few more songs like this you'll appreciate it just the same as the other vocal styles. The songs "Perennial" (live) and "Teacher Teacher" by Jinjer are a much better showcase of this mixed style- Pisces is just the perfect first reaction :D
I like it when bands mix it up like this. Jinjer is amazing for that. The vocals for the band Arch Enemy for most songs are entirely growls... I find them difficult to listen to because of that, even though they're overall amazing... I almost like them.
Extreme vocals like growls are some kind of appreciation like wine or coffee. Most people don't like it at first & at some point we find one that we like & our taste is becoming more and more refined as we looking for those that we like. II subscribed to your channel since your first Nightwish reaction and i tell you, right now it is hands down my favorite one to follow. Your enthusiasm to discover new music outside what you're use to, is fire with enthusiasm & verry inspiring . 🤩Just with your spontaneous scream at the end of Pisces; I'll give you a year or two & you will want to learn how to do it yourself with a proper technique & your own voice.

I'm one of those who never liked growls before I heard Jinjer. I wasn't surprised as I'd heard other female growlers, just surprised that I enjoyed it. There's just something about not just her voice and growls but I think it's her conviction coming through that is magnetic.
As others have said, Perennial live at Wacken is a great next step to see them on stage.
If you want to develop the skill without hurting yourself I'd recommend checking out the tutorial given by The Fairy Voice Mother reacting to Electric Callboy's song Hypa Hypa with a friend. She gives her friend incredibly actionsble tips. Following along I feel like if I had a bit of ambition and discipline I could totally put that teaching to use.

Growls are produced by a different set of folds present in the throat. Clean singing => vocal folds. Growls (or harsh vocals) => false (or vestibular) folds. Getting to the point that you control on a whim which set is vibrating is a great achievement.

She's vocalist of the group, Alissa White-Gluz, has both harsh vocals and clean vocals. I will recommend 2 songs of the group. First; If you want to hear Alissa's growl and clean vocals together, you should definitely listen to "Handshake With Hell".
My second suggestion; In my opinion, you should definitely listen to "The Eagle Flies Alone", which is one of the most successful songs released by the band after Alissa joined the band. Thanks.

So many people started to enjoy these kind of vocals because of Jinjer. At the moment they are the frontrunners in their genre and beyond. Tatiana is probably the best growler going around. The whole band is world class. And live before a big festival audience they can pull it off as if it is nothing. Maybe it is not for your playlist but I think you will be impressed just watching: Perennial live at wacken, Who is gonna be the one live 1998, Teacher Teacher, etcetera because of the high level players they all are. Either way succes and have fun.

-I think my opinion is similar. I’m not a fan of harsh vocals but what got me is her clean vocals. However, the harsh vocals compliment her cleans and create the feel of the song.
-I still get excited by the belt after “Pisces swimming through the river” no matter how many times I listen to this song, which has been a lot since hearing it back in 2022.
-if you want to hear a song with ALL clean vocals and ZERO harsh vocals, check out “Bad Water.” After I listened to “Pisces”, I tried checking out some of their other songs and wasn’t feeling it. After almost residing myself to being a fan of “Pisces” and not Jinjer, I checked out the official live version of “Bad Water.” Afterwards, I got what the band was doing and they’re now the 1st band that I can truly say is my favorite band.

I'm not a fan of the growling type of music but it is still interesting to see how you react to the songs. This is just my opinion. Keep these videos coming as some of these bands I am sure to like.

Jinjer does well with reaction channels. It doesn't even really matter that much if you like the song/songs or not at this point. People will want to see the reaction to this anyway. I think Jinjer has much better songs, but Pisces is the only real option for the first song for ovbious reasons...
Another band that gets lots of views is Babymetal. I already saw 'Hymnodic' suggesting a couple of songs that seem like good choices to me also. Whenever you feel like adding another new band you could try it out. This time I KNOW you will like the band 💯😂
