Probably the coolest looking daemon prince of Nurgle I’ve ever seen. You really made good use of the mini’s space. It makes me want to get up and say, “Boy, I sure would LOVE to see some more DEATH GUARD.”
A very solid build! A good alternative to waiting for the wings to attach would be pinning the wings and then slopping sprue goo around the wings. I gotta hunt down that fly head it's so cool!
Tragic that you had to destroy that mini, but this is one of the cleanest kitbashes you've done, while keeping to a wildly new silhouette and vibe. I wish they'd sell this guy solo, somehow. He is to the regular DG lords, what the Indomitus Overlord was to regular Necron Oberlords
I know.. the thought of destroying part of it was in the back of my mind for the entirety of the project... but I can confidently say that it was worth it. It really is a shame the dark imperium minis are outta print. tbh, I feel like they were the best models in the new age deathguard line.
For the wings you could put a pin between the two parts after dry fitting. Then plastic glue as normal. The pin should help hold the parts in the right place so you don't have to hold the parts in place yourself.
I literally was tping this same thing out as I watched and then saw your comment. Great minds think alike and all that. I don't even bother using superglue for the pin, I just put sprue goo in the pin hole and then insert the pin.
this is such a beautiful model and paint scheme! I recently bought the death guard combat patrol, and this has given me enough inspiration for me to paint them.
Please, for the love of nurgle, please make more nurgle kitbash's cause there's so much potential. Also, great kitbash, by the way. Really good paint job to.
As a new Crawdad I have to say, it would be amazing to see you paint up either a Death guard killteam or go all out for a small 500-1000 point actual force of em.
That looks awesome!! I have some suggestions for you to consider next time when building minis: 1. For any contact points that are quite small or may break easily, you might want to use pinning 2. The super glue + pva glue technique is great for making stringy, sinewous fleshy look Hope these will help
Awesome mini and paintjob, this is so cool! Whne you said "lord of the flies" I thought of the book, and thought you where gonna be putting a pigs head on him, SAW style
I'm wondering how the Mechanicus Da Vinchi flight suit guy wings would look for a giant cybernetic fly made out of the rest of the plague drone... maybe a demon engine or some kind of Nurgal iron warriors flying bio-mechanical abomination or a Dark Mechanicus magos connected to it by a ribbed tube coming out the back of his head like Dr Channard after becoming a Cenobitein Hellraser two.
I used that head to convert a termie sorcerer myself. and I can confirm that it is, in fact, a really huge melon. You wouldn't thinm a head made for a Plague Marine would be too big for a Terminator... Edit: boy, would I sure love to see you model / paint more deathguard... especially from Dark Imperium!
@@MishMashPainting I only like about 50% of the Death Guard heads. But the ones I do like, are awesome. It's a shame they only made one of that particular one. Although there is a similar one in the Plaguebringer set.
The only time it’s appropriate to say “hit that bell”

It's from the Plague Marines kit! Hope that helps!
seconding pinning the wings, make soooooo many dodgy joins so much more solid

The Death Gyard minis are awesome. i painted 26 Poxwalkers for my son. I gave them yellow clothing to represent the remains of hazmat gear.

Wonderful kitbash! I had a similar idea but for possessed terminators.
He looks really good , those wings & helmet look made for each other! Another great Mishmash kitbash! 👍
Awesome build bud

That moat looks so algae infected and pus like. Reminds me of those bacteria colonies you get around hot springs

Im currently trying to build a deathgaurd army and the way you paint them is amazing i cant wait to see more in future
Absolutely stellar build! The gunk is so gunky
Love the colors on the lad! Making me wish I did Death Guard instead of Mephrit Dynasty Necrons
Love the multiple colors in the slime on the base, makes it look like stagnant water 👌
drink up, buttacup
This looks so amazing! Gotta be my favorite video so far, really nice to see as a DG/Nurgle player.

ahhehehe yeah totally not planning that out for the summer
Super inventive way of using the sprue goo!

uhu glue + pva glue is also good for a gnarly flesh texture, it worked wonders on a dreadnought i'm converting
I love Death Guard! Please do MORE!
Very neat! Reminds me a lot of Kadex Ilkarion from Chaos Gate Daemonhunters.
I love the little critter that u use to represent yourself. Rot father's blessings!!!
What a good timing, you kitbash a Nurgle Daemon Prince just as I get some sort of throat bug. x3
as a death guard player i to know the pain of being careful when picking up minis. Awesome build!
Can never go wrong with kitbashing a Daemon Prince
Awesome mini and paintjob, this is so cool!

New to the hobby just picked up death guard, and look forward to using some of your techniques
Some of your best work! I really enjoyed this one.
I was so worried when you were putting the torso together! Ur a master at this stuff lol. Looks amazing as always!❤

Really good kit bash hope to see more
Keep up the awesome work dude...and I demand more death guard
Can you make a death guard knight?
More nurgle please!!! Great vid
Nice gives a great retro vibe

Definitely planning on it! And yeah, that fly melon is a proper MELON. I'm kinda surprised at how little I've seen people actually use it too!

love the fly face, hope you will continue the fly theme with the other death guard minis.
I've had the semi unfortunate urge to strip all of my old dark imperium death guard minis to make a proper army... So I might have to

As a death guard enjoyer I hope you paint more
As a guy with 8 nurgle daemon princes, or 9 if you include Mortarion, I approve of this video.
Love the video bro ❤🔥
Stinkmash can I please have some more?
Would be cool if you would give the NOXIOUS BLIGHTBRINGER
(bell boy) some love, as his kinda underwhelming, but the idea is not bad
