@@nmgaming2495 He was there 100 years ago when it was made. The magic of the soviet power hammer rubbed on him and now he just can't die of old age, but is in return ocasionally overrun with an urge to occupy Berlin

December: Receipt of an old, beat up, and most certainly ugly-looking power hammer.
January & February: Disassemble power hammer and rebuild most of it using the lathe and milling machine.
Ugly? Maybe it's my industrial taste in aesthetics talking but i think that power hammer's a beautiful machine

While taking an axe-making class a few years ago the master smith held a sizeable piece of metal just like that between his legs and grabbed a large hammer with both hands. I couldn't help it -- I looked away. He saw me flinch and said, "Don't worry son, it's just a decorative appendage at this point."

I really admire Alec for many reasons, but one reason in particular is his ability to actually grow in aspects of life like finances and business. Watching him go from a small dirty shop on bakers street, to a well fitted shop, to then MIGRATE ACROSS THE WORLD and expand to the point where he can open shops on both sides of the world. And he can just fill them up with all the tools needed. Absolutely incredible. And impressive once you consider how much time has passed.
Your right he has done really well and it's nice getting to watch along and see him grow

That's the way I've always done it. So no matter who you are talking to, you're both on the same page.
That's cause he's english. For general sizes we use imperial, when we need to be precise we use metric
@@gaza102289 yeah its stupid if i was to say my height i'd use feet. if i was to give a rough size of a room or how far away something in eyesight distance was i'd use meters and if i was to say how far i'd drive to go to work i'd use miles. then for weight there's stone which no one other than us seems to use that measurement
Even Americans don't use everything in imperial.

Humanity's greatest strength. Creativity. When we need to figure out how to flip something heavy. We can either engineer something or we can just manipulate the object we want in such a way we can flip it.

I think one of the most impressive things about Alec is how he's managing to balance being a successful business man, keep up with the youtube content and still look as confident as always in the workshop, as in, still do a lot of the "humble" work on his own. This new old workshop series is really the best. There's nothing like building workshops, shelves, tables, compressed air lines and such. Bringing it down to earth. Tbh, filing on a sword for 20 episodes is not very fun to watch. Also, maybe it's only me, but building or renovating machines is way more fun than edge weapons in different shapes. It doesn't have to machines either, but having a well-rounded skillset where one first forges a piece, then mills it, and puts Arduino control on it. Now that's cool!
Alec: I didn't measured it well. Have to remake it.
Will: I think that will do it.
