I set up an empty for my target and set Track-to to it. This lets me offset the light's aim if needed. I do the same for my cameras (but Up _needs_ to be Y, else it'll be upside down). I find it easier to point the camera in camera view by moving the aiming empty and repositioning the camera with 'lock camera to view' enabled.
You may just have revolutionised my Blender life. Thank you. [Oh, and in my version of Blender (2.9) you don't even need to configure the axes, just add a constraint, select object and you're done.]
Exactly what I needed, thanks. On another note, do you perhaps know how to light just one object out of many, an eye, for instance, not the whole face? I reckon I need to place the eye and the light on another layer and then somehow mask the light for other objects?
+mbbmbbmm Thanks. That is kind of you to say. I am just getting the info out there, but your right, not a lot of people are seeing it. Perhaps I need to focus on "showmanship" and marketing.
Saven years later this video still saving lives 😅
Ctrl-Shift-C does nothing. More complete UI changes? Blender tutorials seem to have a shelf-life of weeks.

I wouldn't worry about showmanship too much. The style of the videos is fine, easy to follow. Just get the word out :-)
+mbbmbbmm Thanks for the feedback...getting the horn out and blowing it is now on my to do list :)
