I’m takin’ notes…might aswell think about rollcage in fase 1 of my future build. That kind of knowledge is priceless, and you are givin’ it out practicly for free. Class-act mr.Stav…👍 This channel is the absolute shiznit if you plan on doin’ fun stuff with/to an Mr2.
massive congrats Stav!!! WOWAWEEWA!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 bloody amazing ,..i knew you was the man and i’m not gonna lie ,…i’m still in shock how fast that needle moves on the dials ,…and can’t imagine how good that must feel pinned in that seat ! ( unreal mate massive performance ) yeah i’d want to be putting in a roll cage and check the torque of my wheel nuts and check i had good brake fluid levels and lines/pads /discs before every drive too 😂
There aren't a lot of videos where my mouth actually falls open, but this is one of them. Holy shit, insane. Given these are super easy to widebody, imagine what you can get done with even wider tires in back.
Wow..... so quick. Super impressive. CNr wait to see you playing (and upsetting) some big dollar cars. I was disappointed when the volvo got sold off, (and the mx5) however you've well and truly exceeded all expectations. Performance for $..... ❤
Yeah it’s getting a step too far for even me. Annoyingly I’m gonna have to drop the engine out to fit the cage, but thankfully that’s the quickest job ever on these so it’s not bad like it sounds
Will show it in the next video, but lots- I gotta drop the engine out to weld the rear mounts in. That sounds bad but it’s the quickest car to remove the engine on there is, so not the big deal it sounds
Absolutely epic, what is your current all up weight and what do you recon it will be with the cage? Hoping to get my m42 318is to 300 bhp @ 1200 kg this year and aim for 400 and 1100kg in the future.
Hopefully this doesn't end up in stav project car hell and the cage goes in easily for you. I want to see it do some half mile events, make supercar owners salty etc Its so far proved to be arguably the best all rounder you've ever built
Kph or mph? This car at 170mph (so over 270kph) feels perfectly stable. Happy to do over 200mph in it, and will soon as I go to a standing mile day. Lots of people say these things feel too light and floaty over 100mph (160kph), and yeah as standard they do. If a car is unstable at speed, fix it. No different to fixing the fact these things are slow as standard.
Straight line car mostly, and though I’ve done both before inc the Toyota Sprint Series, it’s a lot of hanging around vs driving, more so with hillclimbs, so I’m never that fussed on them anymore
@@StavTech it's pretty much unbelivable for me that it's possible for that car to go 5.7 sec 100-200 kmh. 7 maybe but 5.7? No fckn way with 500 hp. There's something odd in that measurment. 🤔
@@GocaKresic do you think the dragy is lying? What about the 6.0 from the last video with a bad start and bad gearchange? More like you’re used to all these cars and dynos bullshitting about how much power they have yet post slow times. Dyno numbers mean nothing, proven performance times do. If the tuning world has gone so stupid that they’ll believe any dyno numbers people tell them but won’t believe proven performance numbers, we’re doomed lol
@@StavTech first of all, no, i have 300+ runs on dragy and it's very accurate. and i do have a car with similar setup and similar weight, it goes 7.5 100-200 on 1.8 bar with HX35. but 5.7? well all i can say is, i'm very surprised, another fact is, i was watching carefully, never saw that you reached 200 km/h in any of these pulls? don't mean dissrespect ofc i'm just stunned with your dragy times.
@@GocaKresic if your times are slower and your car really does weigh same as mine then my horses must be bigger lol. My Speedo over-reads by 5-10mph as I’m running 26inch tall rear tyres rather than the standard 205 wide little tyres the car comes with. Unless you think I’ve borrowed someone’s supercar to do the times to fake it for some reason then I don’t know what to say.
No, the Speedo under-reads due to the 26in tall rear tyres, so it’s actually faster than that. It’s about 5-10mph too slow, so at 70 on the clock it’s 75, and the gap increases a little with speed. But the dragy numbers are 100% spot on
The moment you opened up the engine bay of that ‘shitbox’ of a Fiat X1/9 i could not surpress a rather loud ; WHAT??!!! I hope you get around to ‘working’ your magic on this car, because it ís a rare find with that engine alteady installed. I know it is a PITA to ‘do this car right’…and it is prone to rust forever, but if you ‘build’ it up right….it can be made into a ‘weapon’ of a car….also a weapon of self-destruction…but 🤷🏼♂️ Safety was never a big concern when this ‘scatola di stronzata’ was designed. 😂
It’s not built, it’s a stock bottom end with a set of rods in it that was sat rusting in an abandoned garage for 5 years lol. £300 and you could put a set of rods in your own stock bottom end

It's a good thing you live near the Autobahn...
Loving going through your videos bro
VAG 1.8t 20v is such a good engine and highly tunable. 💪

Yeah that’s the thing, 275s go on even with mildly modded stock arches, wide body means 330 wide if need be, like the Super GT race car ones
@@StavTech We've got a VeilSide kitted car here waiting for the funds to send it your way. Has 265/35/18 in back and that's very conservative.

That’s what I’m all about, I’d get rid of this in a heartbeat if there was an even better bang for my buck option, but pretty certain there isn’t!
Another awesome video as always. Great to see it all coming together and the power, well.......
Yeahhh with that performance it’s definitely cage time. Awesomely fast thing!

Did you get yours ‘done’ over there? And is it good?…
Moving along nicely I see 👍🏻 Be interested to see what changes have to be made for the cage.
Will show it in the next video, but lots- I gotta drop the engine out to weld the rear mounts in. That sounds bad but it’s the quickest car to remove the engine on there is, so not the big deal it sounds

@@SekoRob yeah I’ll have to as won’t be any action until it’s done so need some content lol
Where can I apply to buy one of these swap kits for my mr2 !
Cool little super car you have there
Contact Zurawski Motorsport on Facebook if you can, that’s who the parts come from

I think under 900 as is, 850-880, but I’m really not sure. Cage will add a little but not loads and I’m gonna remove some weight too
Did you get there yet? Must be an absolute riot to drive a 318is with those numbers.
Dang this is a wild machine!
Yeah it moves for sure
This things turning into a right weapon. Would love to see what it's like on track, but at the same time, don't want you to kill yourself

I’ve already fitted the exact same cage to one of the MR2s already in the space of a day, as can see in previous videos, so…
damn, it just pulls and pulls and pulls all day
Mate this thing fuckin moves! It will be embarrassing for these super car owners who end up racing you 😂
Yeah that’s the plan
One year later, and it’s getting there. 🤩
Nice! How stable is it at those kind of speeds?
Once I added a little more toe in at the rear it’s totally stable yes. Higher speeds I don’t know yet
Could the performance increase be the fixeds dragging rear brakes?
Not by much, I timed it before and after the exhaust swap, unfortunately I lost that footage as I’m stupid
Brilliant stuff but over 130 I find front drifting around on 3 cars I own.

Thats really really fast
It is indeed. Only done some minor testing so far, but hope to attend as many half mile or mile days as I can this year
Build spec? Boost pressure? Flex fuel? Sounds mad.
All on previous videos. Normal pump fuel. Stock pistons. Decent rods. 29psi.
Make a guest appearance on a few youtube channels.......would love to see some third party reactions
If I get the right offer I will. But proven performance means more to me than someone hamming it up for the camera about how fast something feels.
That is extremely fast. How much hp aprox?
Made 514 horsepower on the dyno
Jesus that's a missed stav I wish I could find a lhd and do the conversion and ship it to dubai people wouldn't know what hit em
Loads of LHD ones in Europe and the USA! Not as cheap as UK ones though.
But yeah, one of these with proper power is a shocker to supercars!
What led you to go with the VW 1.8?
By far the biggest bang for your buck swap of any engine on the planet.
on how much boost you're drivin with that turbo? can you share ignition map :)
2bar. And it would be disrespectful to my tuner to share his work for free
