- In this video I take you along for the journey of tuning my 2008 Saab 9-3 Aero with the 2.8L v6 turbo engine. It's been a long road to get to this point but I'm very happy with the estimated 355hp and 420lb ft of torque! Be sure to like, share and subscribe for more Saab stuff!

Awesome video getting my built 2004 Saab-93 arc tuned by VTuner here soon too!
Jesus this thing is flyyyyying! love it !
What's going on my friend!!!!!!! Well, thank you for previewing my next Saab investment!!!!!!
Love the content dude.
Thanks friend!
Love your channel dude! Thank you for the awesome content. - 08 9-3 Linear
Loving this channel, i have a Vectra VXR with the same engine, going to tackle a misfire on cylinder 2 in a few days, supposedly injector fault. Once running good i may push some more power 🤙
If you want to access the extended settings/options on the vtuner handheld, before you plug it in press “x” and hold it down and then plug it in. You can adjust screen brightness, font size and etc. You’ll get more options in diagnostic and more data logging info as well. There’s even an option to program gm injectors but it’s disabled
That's awesome info. Thanks for sharing!!
Make sure you replace the torque bushings (engine mounts) with all that extra power. I did that on mine. It was a pain to replace the lower one in the back but well worth it.
Good point! Thanks!!
Very nice
Can you please post a video of how the car accelerates and preforms now that you have it dialed in.
Mine has a jzw tune and its a 2007 and sounds EXACTLY like this and mine has the SAME power
Hey mate, love your content!! I noticed you were having an issue upon first startup with flashing the ecu. My 06 v6 is on the vtuner 93oct currently and it is running incredibly rich, just like you were talking about in the video when the car wasn't running good. Should I try reflashing to a different setting maybe? 100% going to need to replace the plugs w/ proper gap as well. Been trying to figure out this misfire/dumping excessive amounts of fuel for so long now. Hopefully me coming across your video just saved her🤞
That sounds exactly like the issue I had. Definitely try refreshing with a different base tune. Once it gets running decent then change the plugs.
Hey……now that you are properly tuned and you have 355hp, have you had any issues with the subframe bushings? Mine are shot (on the front of my FWD 08 Aero) and looking to replace with powerflex polyurethane ones. Unfortunately, no content out there on how to do it! Perhaps the WIS?!?
There is content on the 9-5 subframe bushings, and the vibrations in the dashboard I am getting are quite similar to those described in the 9-5 videos, where polyurethane bushing upgrade fixed the problem. SAAB ON!
Also, my condolences to you for your loss….great that you kept your grandfather’s truck!
So far no issues with my subframe bushings but sounds like yours are overdo for replacement. I'd definitely go with the polyurethane ones. They'll be an upgrade and will also be easier to install. It won't be the simplest job to do but also not the most difficult. I recommend getting an engine bar for the front to support the engine to remove the front subframe completely. You'll also need to unbolt the suspension too. I recommend removing the subframe completely bc it will help with extracting the old bushings and will also give u a chance to clean up and rust proof your subframe.
Car sounds awesome. How much HP is the 22T rated for?
Depends on which one but I think most say 400+ hp for the 22T.
Sounds great. Is it straight piped in this vid?
Basically straight piped but with a middle resonator.
What is the price for that tuning you got there?
I think I paid 1k USD for handheld tuner and custom tune
Can u send me info about tune and where did u get the tuner from
Tune came from vermonttuning.com/
Are those Jeep renegade wheels? In the thumbnail
No, they're Vauxhall Astra VXR replica wheels. I plan to post a video with more details on them.
Those first 2 tunes did not run correctly on your car because they were assuming smaller stock injectors.
I wasn't expecting that bc I paid for a custom tune based on the specific mods the car has. I suppose those first 2 tunes are generic to get a baseline and then the real adjustments come from datalog results. Still would have been nice to of known going into it the first tunes may or may not work.
Is the 22t the same as the 18g?
Yes
How have the
Ngk coils been?
Stock internals!?
Yep stock internals
I wish I understood anything about tuning
Think NKG best for saab
Dont know the number,,
Have saab 9-3 but older too
I've had two NGK plugs on two different saabs,
Where the earth hook dissappeard .
I use quadfire iridium now, with no problems.
What a creeper....i kept waiting for chris hansen to jump out😂😂😂😂😂
Always coil number 5 smh 😂
Right!!!!
Daaang sounds like a diesel
