I have done some of these Saab / Opel 2.8T with Bosch ME9 and its quite an easy ecu to tune actually ☺️🔥

I contacted Dion for advice on mapping. Initially he was very responsive and we exchanged details etc. He provided me with a stage 1 map and I hoped for support for fine tuning etc but as soon as I made a payment he stopped communicating!
Doesnt sound like Dion at all.. But he is a busy man. Imagine everyone asking questions all the time. Sometimes People in General should think a little bit for them selfs and maybe ask 1 or 2 questions instead of 20 if you know what i mean. Im sure he will respond to a proper question 🙏
@Jonas Kakarikas you are laughing when you write this response!!! He told me he would look at map and stopped responding, I do not ask questions of him, only I respond to his questions. It only takes a short time to respond no matter how busy someone is. You are making excuses when you don't actually know the situation!!!!!

As I'm going to tune it these days I have a question about the clutch. I have the automatic gearbox on my Saab. Should I be thinking from now on on changing the clutch as the car has already driven 230,000 km?
Might be good to think about, but no idea to change before it starts to slip

This may sound like a strange question, but do you know of any tunes for the 2.8T which aim to improve the fuel economy?
A well dailed in stage 1 tune will give you lower fuel economy as long as you are not heavy on the right foot

Stage 1 is great, you can see the engine and car have potential.
Does the popcorn from the exhaust have a negative effect on the engine?
I fell in love with this sound.
No it doesnt, it only pops when the engine isnt under load. It generates extra heat so if you drive around popping for hours potential damage might happen 😉

I recently named the Ori intercooler on FMIC and the turbo lag has increased. I also have a slightly uneven idle on a cold engine.
Maybe this will be the solution to my problems, because in Poland we do not have too many competent Saab specialists.
Its a Great way to get the job done 👌 usually a tune doesnt fix problems. So might have those sorted first

For my first Saab , I got spare parts shipped directly from the U.K.

I’ve heard 3 inch downpipe is a must really before a tune. Is there anything else that is a must. I plan to do a lot of mods eventually but just start off with exhaust and map. Wondered if there was anything other than exhaust I should do before first map. Thanks. Can dump valves be fitted ? I’ve not yet seen or heard one fitted. I love the laser red. It’s a rare colour here in uk, and it sounds amazing 👌
The basics of tuning is usually
Stage 1 = ecu tune, approx 20% increase
Stage 2 = catback exhaust + ecu tune
Stage 3 = downpipe + catback + ecu tune (most likely injectors, fuelpump etc)
So the answer is no, you dont need 3" downpipe to get a tune

I have a 2007 Saab 9.3 2.8 v6 AT. Bought new. A fantastic car but I am battling with a Stability Control warning light. When starting hot and the warning light comes on, a few minutes the ABS and the brake light warning lights sometimes come on. Last week the Air Con also turned off and the gauges froze. The fault code shows no com between CIM and ABS. I replaced the ABS, the CIM and the ignition modules last year.
Do you have a fresh well functioning battery? A failing battery can cause very odd faults, but still work
I got the traction and stability light on also the other day had to jump start the car turbo gauge was not working an wouldn't past 1500 rpms when floored the gas I changed the Battery everything went back to normal besides my traction an stability light still on but a dead battery does affect some things and makes car act weird
what is the current exhaust setup on this aero?
Everything stock but it seems like it has a different catback like 2,5"

Just ttid funkar inte med sån här enhet tyvärr, den klarar inte läsa ut alla nödvändiga parametrar ur basfilen. Så kör du på MapTun 👍
