I used a plastic syringe with hot glue sealing the tip of it and mounted it behind the brake pedal. It had a really nice feel and would stiffen the farther you pressed the pedal.
I just grabbed 2 different stressballs, one stiffer than the other, and wedged it under the pedal, the brake is a litter stiffer in my Mustang so I put the stiffer one under the brake, really improved the feel of the pedals for free as I had these laying around
this is genius, had one laying around and its so much better now! tbh the glue stick one was too much already, im lazy to get one but a stressball was laying aroung cheers, love this upgrade :D
I did this method, I took 5 glue sticks for the gas, 6 for the brake and I found a old headlight rubber cover and shoved that in for the clutch as spongy feel and it all works and feels sturdy free 99 upgrade
I took of the brake mod, cut a gluestick in two pieces of around 10cm and Put it into the two spaces behind the Brake. Works way better for me than the Standard brake mod.
Good video bruv thanks, I'm gonna give your clutch method mod a go for sure. :-) At the moment for playing Dirt 4 I'm using stress balls behind the pedals. I bought them from China off ebay with no intention for using them for pedal mods at the time. They're not your average stress ball, they're more like a very strong jelly/slime feel to them (god only knows) but they sure work for adding resistance behind the peddles. Do you use anything for your gas peddle bro? Thanks.
Not currently, but I was considering modifying my gas to add a bit of "grit" I have some ideas but have yet to be bothered enough to do anything about it just yet. :)
I'm so glad this inexpensive mod has helped so many people. I always try to get the best experience out of gear with household or easily obtainable parts, this one was especially great because most of the mod was just switching around what is already provided by Thrustmaster. ;)
Hell I don't even use the brake mod now I cut this big piece of dense rubber not to hard tho due to filling rhe entire pocket and I wanted a progressive feel some may not but I did and I put it in the brake area in the back and it's absokutely perfect feels like it's setup for a load cell of course it doesn't have a loadcell but just saying
This is serious. If you try it, you will feel the difference. I always try to make my mods accessable to everyone with common objects. When people get into welding and such it's really not something everyone has access to or is even willing to try.
@hakaNikon it's definitely possible, you have to calibrate your pedal to where 100 percent is pushing well past the rubber feeling. You don't want 100 percent to be as soon as you hit the rubber if that's what you are saying.
You might want to try to use a squash ball instead of the conical brake mod. Just remove the robber and put a Squash ball on it. Feels way better to me. My springs broke very fast, I bought some at my local hardware store and they much stiffer. Costs = 2 Euros. Cheers
Good to know! I have actually sold these pedals and have purchased some Fanatec V3 pedals. They definitely feel better but the T3PA pedals felt great especially at the price point!
@@DouglasThompson I tried that but lost out with maybe the last 50% of the pedal travel. The pressure needed to reach maximum throttle was ridiculously hard?I suppose I’ll have to try different squash balls etc, I’ve ordered glue sticks and the grommet to try that next ...fingers crossed

@@DouglasThompson I m not even kidding. I use the rubber cone for most games but In GT7 you can't calibrate anything and the cone is to much you only get up to 70%. I keep the metal bracket and then stuff a squash ball in there. Not ideal but it's better. Only 2.5 bucks for a ball 😉
The springs are already in your pedal set. You just have to switch them around. You put the brake spring in the clutch position. Clutch spring in the throttle position Throttle spring in the brake position. This mod ONLY works if you have the conical brake mod installed.
Douglas Thompson what exactly is that conical brake mod? I have the three pedal t3pa. & the brake is pretty stiff already. But i just want my accelerator/clutch to be more stiff

These are great tips, definitely gonna try the glue stick idea so it feels a tiny bit more like an actual clutch
It feels great for the price! ;)

hi, i will try the srping mod NOW! I hate how har the break feels. The gas feels to light and the clutch off too! Thanks

Ok@@DouglasThompsonthanks. The stress ball I use is great for the accelerator, its just a gentle squeeze and gets progressively nice after 50%.
Wtf why does this work so well
Have you tried it?
great idea
Thank you! :)
Great idea for c the clutch brake c pedal i would like 75 percent, not 50 and have to push down real hard

Lifesaver :)

How do u calibrate the brake with such little throw? I can only brake 30-50%
It varies by game. I played dirt rally 1 and 2 mostly. It let me.
exactly! Gt Sport has about 50% break power with the mod. So its useless.

Nothing better then a DIY solution that works for you!
how has it been with this mod long term? might just try swapping the springs around today till i can get the other stuff
Definitely swap the springs around. The hot glue sticks worked until I sold these pedals. I'd say they were like this for over a month or two.
@@DouglasThompson i might have to try the glue sticks too, or try and think of a alternative
Nice
Have you Amazon links?

No I just used what I had laying around. Sorry just sharing my idea. :)
Solo son barras de silicon hermano, adaptados a unas gomas antiderrapantes para sillas.

Are you able to make trail brake with short distance pedal and conical plastic?
You should be able to.
