Hey Coyote, the winter's coming - how about a guide on how to shop for sweaters on eBay? Shetlands, fairisles, chunky cardigans, what to look for, which brands fall under the radar, why Scottish cashmere is nice and rare, that kind of thing
My personal suggestion for eBay knitwear is that you focus on the state of waistbands, most wool/cashmere can shrink or stretch a few sizes at home, sleeves can also be cuffed, a loose waistband can not be fixed at home.
Very happy to have been recommended this channel. Binged literally every video you have- great tips and production. As a ebay shopper/ seller of 10+ years, you're putting out really helpful info that I hope helps other people get into saving $ shopping used. Will be subscribing and looking out for future videos! You should do a video on hard bottom shoes!
Love you content, I’ve been surviving off eBay and pit to pit so far and it’s been working well - I’d really really appreciate a video on used trousers/jeans - these seem much more susceptible to vanity sizing and I really struggle. Thanks
Really recommend Taylor Stitch and Flint & Tinder (Huckberry's internal menswear brand) if you like the other 5 brands mentioned in the video (RRL/PRL, Gitman Bros, Todd Snyder, Billy Reid, Faherty).
As a clothing seller if you send me a message asking if there any rips, holes, or stains I’m most likely going to block you. I’ve sold thousands of items online and have found that 90% of the time when people ask this they are simply looking to wear the garment and then return it 29 days later claiming i misrepresented the item. I recently had a polo RL shirt that I sold where a buyer asked this question, he then purchased the shirt only to open a return when it arrived, he ripped the threading out of one of the buttons photographed it and returned the shirt after wearing it a few times.
I love these content. Tbh,sometimes i mad with seller who didn't even know what they sell.here in Indonesia, seller mostly didn't even know about fabric.that drive me nuts.
A good guide but I woud add to step 6: if an item is selling at a fixed price I would always click 'watch this item' first. A lot of sellers will message you with a small discount offer within a couple of days.
Believe it or not, but it’s not always the seller that sends out discounts. eBay do it automatically even if the seller hasn’t sent one out. I’m guessing eBay make a loss as they’ll have to pay the difference.
This can be tough tell through pictures but usually it'll show in duller colors and the fabric having a kind of fuzzier look. I highlighted this toward the end when going over the shirt i bought.
I generally prefer the lay-flat but both ways have their pros and cons. I am okay depending on how the shirt is laid out and how the pictures are taken. But I think listing them (and clearly stating what each measurement entails) is best.
This should be mandatory to watch before being allowed to purchase on any reselling platform. Obviously, most people are either stupid or lazy, so you'll need to make a video for every type of garment.

fantastic video!!!
I want that shirt
hi there !
a humble question where do you edit the thumbnails of your video 😅
Good ol’ photoshop
How do you tell the amount of washing
This can be tough tell through pictures but usually it'll show in duller colors and the fabric having a kind of fuzzier look. I highlighted this toward the end when going over the shirt i bought.
What streamer is that?
Looks like a Jiffy steamer. They're amazing.
How do you prefer sellers to present shirts, hanging or flat lay? Are you okay with the measurements shown in the pictures?
I generally prefer the lay-flat but both ways have their pros and cons. I am okay depending on how the shirt is laid out and how the pictures are taken. But I think listing them (and clearly stating what each measurement entails) is best.
