Wow what a sail! Happy Sunday. It went from 87 yesterday to 55 this morning. What’s up with that. Get some rest and go enjoy yourselves. Hey by the way, right at sunset look west under the moon and to the right of Jupiter and you’ll see the comet. It’s right above the horizon and only visible for a short period until it drops. Try binoculars.
Great to see you both heading back to the Bahamas!! Try adding a downhaul to get better control of the headsail. You can stay at the mast and haul on the downhaul with your foot on the halyard to control the speed of the drop. I know everyone believes roller furling is the solution, but maybe not. Best wishes and great sailing, Jeff and Julie s/v OoLaLa Westsail 32 hull 81#
We ended up going our separate ways and the easiest thing at that time was to take down the videos. I have plans for videos in the future under a new channel name! 😁
Hey guys great to see you back in the Bahamas your video. Didn't complete it's upload and stopped at 2754 will check in tomorrow to see how it end's 1230 am time to sleep love you guys lots of love from Brisbane australia
I sat outside that office for 4 hours last year waiting to check in! Not sure how far behind your videos are, but hopefully pass you guys by. We're out in Staniel Cay right now! Met Beau when he helped work on our cat two years ago in St Thomas! If ya see us, feel free to come say hi! - SV Saguaro
I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos, primarily because you’re so considerate and so kind to each other. Be safe, and I look forward to seeing your journey
A quick tip with the lettuce. keep it fully wrapped it in tin foil “aluminium foil” in the fridge. then just take off what ever full leaves you need, DO NOT CUT LEAVES ON THE MAIN LETUCE remove them as requited. re-wrap and keep in the fridge, and it will last ages. Hope it helps. Terry.
I was trying to look up lettuce cooking recipes to get the stuff to last longer. There's a few but it's like the lettuce is added to what's already cooked. I was hoping for a chutney or a type of lettuce dish that could be 'canned' or mason jar stored to keep as long as other dishes. I'll be advising folks of your tin foil plan. Thanks.
I hope I explained it ok. The thing is to cover the lettuce in tinfoil when you get it and put it in the fridge. When you want lettuce, unwrap and take it one full leaves at a time. Don't cut the main lettuce. Thanks for the tip also Paul. much appreciated. Terry.
Rather than wrapping the lettuce tin foil, wrap it in a paper towel or two and then put it into a plastic container or plastic bag. It lasts weeks. Same for all leafy veges, but especially lettuce, spinach, rocket, etc
After watching you sail down the ICW for several episodes it’s nice to see you guys out in the ocean even if you did get your butts handed to you. 😂. Glad you’re safe!
Awesome video B&B! Sporty! Evan did say that was a brisk sail to the Berry Islands. Cool to see your footage. It had to be an unpleasant one for Brandy to get that nauseous.
Jeez guys, ya gotta learn to reef off the wind. Huge advantages, not the least of which are lower apparent wind and more stable seas. We reef a 47 footer with a 60’ mast anywhere from 70 to 120° off. And just one of us does it. The only time we ever reef upwind, is if we’re actually beating upwind, in which case we usually run off a bit.
I love you guys! Recently, started watching your vlog from the beginning. This passage is so different from the last time you sailed to the Bahamas - except that your excitement is the same. I hope this visit will be wonderful for you. There's Coconut Bread in your future. Is Evan sailing solo now? Safe travels. ❤
You need to get your roller furling for the jib. Getting your halyard caught in the prop is a mistake that can cause the loss of the vessel. You are a shorthanded crew.
Sailing the Gulf stream is weird for sail trim. With the wind and current both trying to make you slide all the things that are "normal" for sail trim go out the window. So hard to figure out the best VMG without fancy plotters which I know you guys don't have. Navionics FINALLY got night mode. I figure in about 5 years they will add VMG. lol. And I definitely need a little back to the future sign "where we're going, we don't need roads". That's happening.
Hi, Beau and Brandy. It's great to see you heading for the beautiful Bahamas. Question: Do you know where Onelife is? They seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. I'm praying they are okay. Thank You safe sailing. Hugs.
Volere,,e Potere! ( Italian, to want to can) where there's a will, there's a way. Your Virginian April fool's baby here rooting yall on. (Again, much gratitude for teaching me and all the nuances of sailing ❤❤❤) Laurie, Skylar n Sage
Looks like you may be learning the lessons we learned...the hard way. My husband was a purist for our first two ventures to the Bahamas: hanked on sails, no dodger, autopilot and nor refrigeration. I don't know about your refrigeration, but I have a suggestion about lettuce and other vegetables that wilt quickly. Cut the bottom 1/2 inch off the bottom and stick it in a container with some water. Pull the plastic bag up around from the bottom and loosely twist the top. In refrigeration or not, it'll help. Things like lemons wrap in paper towels and put in a hammock or basket. By our third trip we (he) had wised up, as well as gotten older and wanting more comfort, we ventured out with all upgrades but the refrigeration. Life was better. I would chide you about going overboard in bad conditions without a line tied on your body. Fair winds from now on.
he sounds a lot like beau! with each year we upgrade and it is more nice and comfortable, but we didn't want it to stop us from being out here enjoying it
Video stopped at 28.00 for me. Will to see the last few minutes later. Great sail. I was pretty nervous when Beau had to go in the water out in the middle of nowhere!!
Always good. I think you have the main sheet on the wrong end of the traveller and can de-power some if you switch it, whilst still being efficient with better sail shape ? Pearson 35 Valkyrie III
No, I took my traveller off and do a double sheet instead to make more room in the cockpit. You should just put the traveller on the side the boom is on, and pull sheet a bit tighter. Put in the middle if close hauled.
Thanks for this week's video. But what happened to the last 2 minutes of the video. It went black then there was some music. And then nothing. Ok until next time, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! Cheers 🍻
Hey! We ended up separating. Kind of shut our channel down quite abruptly. I've got plans to start something new in the future. Lots of content recorded and the goals to have videos out by August. But it will be under a new name.
I would of tied a lifeline, around my waist! ,before going over the side, to do untangling ops on the prop . Don't flirt with disaster, as the Molly Hatchet song !
This is pretty painful to watch. Really, halyard overboard and in the prop? I'm stunned at the positive comments on what is a pretty incompetent display of sailing. Sorry to sound harsh but honestly this is pretty much. ugh!
Mistakes get made, and it's not about making them.. but rather how they are handled. Beau and Brandy are extremely level headed and a great team. It's easy to allow yourself to get frustrated in the heat of those moments and end up making consecutive mistakes. They did great.

Never a dull moment sailing ⛵️
You haven't been sailing then...

Wow - amazing footage. That was not easy. Thank you for being real. Planning on going next month. Passed you in the ICW by FT. P.

Good luck to you two!!
I noticed Dacia and used to follow them on UA-cam but they have disappeared! Do they have another chanel that you are aware of?
I was wondering the same thing

We know Boca well!!
We call that type of sailing Sporty!! Hope Beau is tethered.

Charts. Charts. Nautical term for maps. ;-) Sail on. We live the Berry Islands. Glad you didn’t get stuck for weeks at Freeport.
WOW! The Boca Inlet was kind to you guys, very tame! Safe travels!
I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos, primarily because you’re so considerate and so kind to each other. Be safe, and I look forward to seeing your journey
Thanks for taking us with you! Love your new dinghy! 😎❤️😁😎❤️😁

Another tip I saw was not to add dressing until just before serving it.

I think it should be every sailors goal to have a wall full of tattered flags. Wish we saved all of ours.
Your not gonna float away right.?😢..wow touching ❤
Well said- if you try and are willing to fail
Exactly 🤣
I love you guys ❤ you are awesome! Nice sailing and a beautiful sunset. Good to see you out there again. Big hugs 🤗
Thanks so much!
It is amazing you don’t get hit in the face with all those loose lines, etc. handing off your main/boom. That is a lot going on. Stay safe.
Too much THEATRE! SPAM
Nothing so refreshing as an unscheduled swim stop! Thanks for the video!
Yeah. Who checks the END of a video before uploading. Probably not many. "Reworks" are often better anyway. Congratulations on the new dingy!
Fade to black. For three minutes? Some kind of new cinematography? Loved the show, good job on the editing. See you both next week.
I have loved watching the two you for years. You have come so far as sailors. Nice new ride!
After watching you sail down the ICW for several episodes it’s nice to see you guys out in the ocean even if you did get your butts handed to you. 😂.
Glad you’re safe!
haha, seriously, and after this at least it will be a nice shade of clear blue!
Awesome video B&B! Sporty! Evan did say that was a brisk sail to the Berry Islands. Cool to see your footage. It had to be an unpleasant one for Brandy to get that nauseous.
It was a great sail!! 😁😁
It was pretty gnarly!
Great sailing video! You had me at the edge of my seat. You and Saorise have come along way both literally and figuratively!⛵
Sailing Sunday is back in The Bahamas too. Bobby from Sailing Doodles too..
Ahhhhh. Take me with you!!!!❤❤❤loved the vid…take care guys….

Too bad you couldn't remember the name of Evan's boat........Dacia. How are all the dogs doing?
He is sailing solo now.
@@BeauAndBrandy Good to seed you guys, safe travels.......

I Went to high school in the Bahamas... beautiful choice..great harbor cay is nice..enjoy
Love the new Dingy! Excited to see you back in the Bahamas✌️💜
Have you looked into floats for your Drone?
Thanks for reminder. Their drone crashed in ICW a few months ago. Hope this footage means not much cost to get it flying again.
Good job sailors, you've learned well.

Great video guys. Can't wait to see what you get up to in the new dinghy 🤗💞
Hey u two, have u watched the last video of Alluing Arctic Sailing. I'm sure u would love this lifestyle next. 🤣🤣
no way, nope, not a chance lol.
Great episode!
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Couldn’t see the end of the vlog timer was still running. New dinghy look at you two! Greg 🇬🇧
Hi, Beau and Brandy. It's great to see you heading for the beautiful Bahamas. Question: Do you know where Onelife is? They seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. I'm praying they are okay. Thank You safe sailing. Hugs.
They are safe. Still in the Pacific Ocean. Posted a new video last week.
Thank you so much; yes, I know they put out a video a couple of weeks ago, but nothing since.
Yall are awesome. Good to see yall back in the Bahamas. Cheers 🍻

I like the statement, there are no roads so you just turn. Except going to dock, that about explains it.
Great video guys❤❤

Great, Congrats. What about sailing Dacia ???
Video stopped at 28.00 for me. Will to see the last few minutes later. Great sail. I was pretty nervous when Beau had to go in the water out in the middle of nowhere!!
Went black for everyone.
I tie a line around my waist, and we sail the Columbian, off shore I may want a submarine.
Great video!
Please always be 🥺safe
Greeat video, I really like the sailing, THANKS. Remember to VOTE. 💙🗽💚👍😇
Always good. I think you have the main sheet on the wrong end of the traveller and can de-power some if you switch it, whilst still being efficient with better sail shape ?
Pearson 35 Valkyrie III
Is yours the same set up? If you could send us a pic that would be fantastic. We just have it the why she came. But honestly it’s a pain.
No, I took my traveller off and do a double sheet instead to make more room in the cockpit. You should just put the traveller on the side the boom is on, and pull sheet a bit tighter. Put in the middle if close hauled.
Thanks for the video. Must be nice to be in the Bahamas. Yea for the new dinghy.
Ain’t she a beauty!! So amazing to have a nice reliable dinghy finally!
Ah. Nothing like that Bahama Blue water. Awesome.
Wow Great episode ❤
Thanks for this week's video. But what happened to the last 2 minutes of the video. It went black then there was some music. And then nothing.
Ok until next time, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! Cheers 🍻
Tip for lettuce , wrap it in tinfoil - it lasts longer
Lol. I was just going to tell them about the foil for the lettuce. Let's hope they read your comment in time❤
So cool! Also, tell TooShort we miss them! 😢
My spirit humans!
Now I understand why everyone was talking about the end of the video, I thought something was wrong with my iPad for a few seconds! 😂
I am still learning how to use the Marine radio
I know they say moniter channel 16. The part I am stuck at is radio check, ship to ship
time to work on your tans now LOL hope to se you both do some diving soon 😎
I would never ever go int he water without a safety floating line off the stern
A line tied to a free fender.
I agree
When yo two going to get roller furlerling !?
Coming sooooooon. 🤩
That was fun 😂
Are we in close to real calendar time. Thank you
Yes we are 😊
From 30:00 I only here music, no video
"What's going on out here?" You guys watching some of Wick's videos? Funny guy especially for Floridians.
Hahahhahaha 🤣 yes now give me some of that Publix carrot cake!
There's almost no reason to ever have your traveler that high and certainly not in those conditions.
Inflatables are cool but I would of gotten a whaly boat
Chart 😱
As Beau was walking into the office to check in the screen went black. ? ? ? Then guitar music & still black screen? ? ?😟
I thought "Dacia? I know that name!" and then it was nice to see her in the water again. What happened with Evan and Jackie, anybody know?
Hey! We ended up separating. Kind of shut our channel down quite abruptly. I've got plans to start something new in the future. Lots of content recorded and the goals to have videos out by August. But it will be under a new name.
For a second I heard Matthew McConaughey. 😊
There was about 4 minutes of nothing at the end. Was that my playback? Enjoy the Bahamas guys.
No, not just you.
🤠👍
I would of tied a lifeline, around my waist! ,before going over the side, to do untangling ops on the prop . Don't flirt with disaster, as the Molly Hatchet song !
Does Beau ever get bed sores?😂
👍

They did great.
Of course nearly all of the Bahamas is NOT tropical. Really only southern Exumas and the crooked islands
