Dam, my ole' '88 zx10 tomcat put out 123 hp, 68(?) ft-lb at ~11K with a stage 1 tune. It weighed 525 lb wet and I thought it was fast....It's amazing how far these bikes have come!
With a 0-60 MPH of around 3.x seconds, even in 2023 that old bike would still feel very fast regardless of newer bikes being faster, but yeah...tech has advanced so much! 😃

They have never been my first choice for looks, but I love them because they are hand built in the USA right here in my home state of Connecticut. Dan Toce is one hellava bike builder too!! The ZX6R is an animal.The R6, CBR 600, and GSXR 600 are tame compared to that thing. I had a 1985 Ninja GPZ 900(Top Gun), 2010 ZX10R, and now a 2021 ZX6R. I have too admit, I enjoy the ZX6R more than the previous bikes I have owned.

The wind nose alone will bother your ears after a while. I've always had loud cars and trucks so nothing different with my bike. Im 44 and have been around loud noses all my life. Can still hear just fine.

Cool! Knoxville is a couple hrs from here. My bike has 1200 miles on it, I got a good deal on it. Pretty much stock except a Akrapovic Slipon and Sprint air filter. It’s already a handful!! Only got to ride a few miles due to freezing weather. Wanna get the Dyno tune From Chris but not sure how much more that cost opposed to sending in my ECU.

I have a 2021 zx6r engine in a micro sprint I’m building. I have it converted to methanol on guhl injection, flashed ECU, Vance and Hines exhaust. How much power would you suspect I gained?
Why almost every modern bike throttle map reduces the actual throttle valve opening near redline? Doubt it is for emissions (doubt they take meassurements that high). Doubt they do it for being smoother (no power spikes there).
"you may not use 15/16 000 rpm every time you get on it". Speak for yourself 😂. That's why I buy 600's. You can let em sing all day and not go to prison for hitting the top of first gear like a 1000.
For a full system it is required, because the bike has back pressure on the stock exhaust. So when you go to put a full system on the bike will run lean, or rich (all depends on the bike). Either flash, or dyno tune will work for you.

It actually has it now. I’d done the block off plates prior to the tune. So later I went back and redone those and added the tune. I think I’d loaded a video of it shooting flames. His pops and bangs is insane. It’s melted my shoe lol

I'm not a fan of the Toce or short cans, I think they sound unrefined. I have the Hindle Evolution which IMO is one of the best sounding systems. Here is a video of the Hindle cat-back cold start after installation. I have the Moore ECU flash with the decel fuel cut disabled with no block off plates. I get some pops and crackles on decel but nothing too crazy or obnoxious. There are plenty of major brands that have the opportunity to throw 500k a year at sponsoring racers and bikes. Unfortunately, we're just not there yet. We have to purchase every bike we develop a system for, they're not handed to us like most. Sometimes we're lucky enough to get customers to bring their new vehicles to us so we can do development. We're not a 100m a year business which believe it or not, some of the big guys are. We're a team of 9, that machines and develops 99% of our components in-house, right here in the good old US of A. We take enough pride in our work to be the only manufacturer of exhaust systems that offers a lifetime warranty on our products from beginning to end. It's likely the reason that the reviews we've had from our actual customers have been nothing but stellar. It's humbling to have Chris Moore able to do a video showing how our progress and efforts in developing systems that produce power - and providing actual data for it as opposed to the general misconception that they do not- based on China knock off's that hit the market prior to us really lifting off.. As for hitting Moto GP or being on any type of major team. It's just outside of our realm, and it's not about the exhaust. It's always about the money. We are currently working on getting involved with the bagger racing teams as our FTR systems are the leading performing systems on the market. I had a 93 GSXR 1100 with a 1549cc kit and a lot of work and it only had 180hp stock bikes are that or more now its crazy.
