Mogis is known as “group slug” where it punishes everyone. The “prison” decks you were talking about are commonly referred to as “stacks” (named after smokestack I think). Group slug is much more acceptable than Stacks because it’s like someone gluing thumb tacks to your gym’s treadmills whereas Stacks is breaking your legs, pushing you down the stairs, giving you the middle finger, and then stumbling away on their crutches to finish the game because they also broke their own legs. Plus it’s a lot more easy to break parity with things that double damage to opponents, rather than wait 6 turns to find the 2nd part of your 3 card combo.
The big thing with group slug is that everyone else can still play their decks, and they can all choose to go after you (though the smart ones will figure out if the other players are disproportionately hurt by the group slug and consequently sit back a bit).
Everytime someone points at me, I always just explain how I'm slowing down the person who is "actually" winning the game until I can drop Gray Merchant on the field lmao
I have only really had 1 commander deck until recently (so around 7 years with only 1 deck) and it was Mogis. Over time he has evolved, and watching this video both makes me feel validated for how I built Mogis and called out for being a horrible human being by only playing Mogis for 7 years. I now own a second deck, being the Imperium Warhammer pre-con lmao.
Glad you enjoyed it! Trying to do my typical style that I do for Pauper for Commander would take hours, and I doubt anyone would want a rudimentary explanation of 100 individual cards lol. Thank you so much for that 💛🙏 I need to flatten the green screen better next time to avoid the flicker of shadows, but overall I'm proud with the outcome!
Very similar to a Mogis deck I play. I use Pyrohemia, in addition to Pestilence. For damage multipliers I use Wound Reflection, Fiendish Duo, and Solphim, Mayhem Dominus. I play Pox, Heartless Hidetsugu, and Fraying Omnipotence. I also like Valakut Exploration for card advantage/additional pinging. Mey initial idea was a creaturless deck, but I've ended up running a few more than I thought I would (10 creatures).
loved this! made a Mogis deck to play both Torbran and Gary in one deck but they might both come out because theres so many damn good enchantments that do loads of damage!
Oh, that was unexpected! Loved it! My fav deck is also in rakdos colors and is Prosper! This will be a good series to continue. Also, it was so funny with the exsanguinate!
It's funny too cause red is my least favorite colors but this deck just brings it out of me! I'm glad you enjoyed 🙏💛 That word is difficult to say when you're trying to remember it off the top of your head! Haha
I had a Rakdos, the Showstopper deck that followed this exact concept. I punished everyone, myself included, for performing most game actions. and by playing my Commander it was a randomized board wipe so nobody could plan around him
I ended up not liking the red plan with my mogis, especially the damage doublers. I found myself slowly adding other stuff like The Abyss, Nether Void, Death Cloud, and a few tutors. Kaervek the Merciless and Angrath, the Flame-Chained are still there though the chandra would probably be a tad bit better for me. Interesting take!
@paperpauperplayer I stole the tables' lands last time on like turn 4-5 with Gilt-Leaf Archdruid and Seedborn Muse. They got so salty, haha. Might retire the deck to higher level play.
You're not wrong. But sometimes I'll go against my curve to make sure I'm playing certain mean cards at certain points to not make me the immediate target. I'll also sometimes mulligan for a protection piece just to ensure I have something when everyone realizes I'm the a-hole lmao
@@paperpauperplayer I misspoke. I HAD this deck. I ended up changing the deck to Gruul with Klothys! Enchantress subtheme. Jund might be viable too. Gives more ramp and consistency to go with the prison and burn. Klothys is blind, so a lot of the effects are global. Including myself.

@paperpauperplayer unfortunately that no longer works with y playgroup. Now that just kill me so they can get back to seeing who combos off first.

You are not a horrible person! You are bringing justice to the commander table! Haha
That warhammer 40k precon is amazing. Annnnnd mogis is sick as hell too
Would you mind sharibg your decklist ?
A commander deck tech like this was a fun change of pace from your usual videos. Also, you did a great job with your green screen and editing!

I appreciate that, king 🙏💛

All of those are fantastic cards in this deck as well!

Its REALLY hard to find creature slots in this deck haha. Glad you enjoyed!

Great edditing, welcome to EDH content :P
Thank you much 💛🙏
Thank you so much for this list. I will be applying this to my current Rakdos project, Hidetsugu, Devouring Chaos
Of course! That sounds sweet! 😁 hope you have fun with it!
My man’s back - let’s go!
Amazing video and editing, deserves more views
That means a lot! Thank you so much 🙏
More Pauper please! Just got into MtG and your Pauper videos have been a huge help.
Pauper is unfortunately on the hold for right now, but plenty of mtg content in the future! Glad you've enjoyed it so far! And welcome to MTG! 😊
5:00 Wouldn't the fiery emancipation also triple the damage done by repercussion? So 39 x 3 = 107 damage per creature?
@@TomMKW ahahahaha, AAAAhahahahaa, AAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
This is my jam! All the goodness from my erabos deck only it actually puts a clock on the feild!
Bro and this deck has cards like Court of Ambition in it which is an absolute banger. I love this deck!
Man what a nice cool video! You got a follower here
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed! 🙏
Love this decklist
Hell yeah!

@kennethreed8485 I've actually added rakdos, the showstopper to this deck since I've made this list! He's such a sick card!
Love me some prison decks!

Super cool deck, Rakdos is my favorite guild, think I'm going to have to build this one 😅
Do it! It's so worth it!
Are you planning any new pauper videos?
With the banning of Swiftspear, I would love to. Unfortunately. All videos are at hold at the moment 😕
@@paperpauperplayer hopefully everything is ok?
It's funny. I looked up archenemy, and this popped up. I've also been playing this and turning into such lately.
@@jessevandez it's basically an archenemy deck!
@paperpauperplayer It truly is, haha. People might even hate it more than Nekusar and Deveri.
My most hated deck so far is druids as I steal everyone's lands quite quickly haha.
Stealing peoples lands? Even the Devil himself quivers at your presence
@paperpauperplayer I stole the tables' lands last time on like turn 4-5 with Gilt-Leaf Archdruid and Seedborn Muse. They got so salty, haha.

Possibility storm + confusion in the ranks + grips of chaos
Now we all are playing prison
@@calebgraham786 you monster!
@paperpauperplayer in my defence at least I'm not playing winter orb the other player will be
That is true! At least your combo is fun! Haha
"does your pp hurt yet? maybe you should drink more water" LOL
Kidney Stones are killer yo
I told myself 'no more decks'. After this video, 'Okay, ONE more deck...'
Uh oh! Then you're gonna be in danger after the next video that's coming out as well! Haha. Glad you enjoyed it!
paperpaupercommander decks?
Perhaps 👀
Looks fun. But seems like will still make you public enemy #1 at the table. Lol
Which I'm good with. Lol
Nice build.
It's worth it 😈
@@paperpauperplayer always is. Lol
I have this deck. You paint a target on your forehead in bright neon pink lights. Survival is the hardest part.

Global effects are good though cause it makes it easier to politic lol
Citadel of Pain used to be better when there was mana burn. Now they can just tap out and take no damage.
Anything that prevents the opponent from having counter magic up is good to me 😎
@@paperpauperplayer still useful
this deck is 100% getting built lmao
Do it! 😈🔥
😂😂😂😂😂
This group slug
@@CaptBackwards yes
This is a you die first kinda deck like poison😂
Absolutely! Haha
Pauper commander sounds horrible btw.
🤷♂️🙅♂️ haven't tried it so I can't say haha
