I usually have 4-5 brands of food and mix some of them into 1 container never to worry about variety and you can re-seal the left over for the next mix in a month or 2 and not to worry about those 5 bag of food getting spoiled if you were to rotate feed them 5 brands of foods while keep them open all the times. The con is I spend a lot of money at once when the food all run out so I start mix different proportion so the food doesn't run out at the same time and I don't feel like I spend too much money on fish food 😂😂😂
Northfin is a very messy food unless you have a bare bottom tank. Don't use it unless you are willing to do the water siphon more often. I will say most tabs are messy. Fresh veggies are best.
I give mine zucchini and cucumbers I went to this awesome mom and pop fish shop he told me he feeds all his plecostomus fresh veggies I never knew you could so I started to....so the cucumbers don't float just take a stainless steel fork and stick the veggies on it works for me all my fish nibble on it even my tiger barbs
It’s not a bad idea to rinse them because they are encased in a salty water in the can so salt is not to good for them I sometimes rinse when I have time but I should always rinse
I really enjoyed your workshop. Where do you get a pleco feeder. We dont have alot of suppliers here in Washington, Mo. Nor alot of places nearby. We have found that we love our plecos and and slowly decreasing our other fish, and just going to pleco. I love them!!!
I have a plecco in with my goldfish. Will I have to separate them at all? The goldfish are really aggressive when eating and my plecco stays more docile so I don’t want them to steal the food
I let a lot of biofilm grow before I got my juvenile bristle nose. They won't take anything I add for food. Number 1 should be keeping some wood in a tank to add or replace when they clean off what they have.
I put some of that catfish sticks in my tank and they did not swim over to eat right away but no biggie. I get up this am and my tank is completely clouded. Little upet

I feed my pleco green beans (french cut) my pleco loves it, I do want it to eat a variety of things so this video has helped a lot in helping me decide what to get her. Plus I don’t really know how well I can keep up with getting green beans and being able to have my pleco eat them all before they go bad. Is it okay for me to freeze them?
Hi Jeff. Just discovered your channel. Do you think it would still work, to slice up the zucchini and freeze, together with the beans and just defrost as much as you need . Just wondering if freezing the zucchini might turn it to mush ?
Not a fan of the northfin kelp wafers, they pollute my water qucikly with all the little bits that come off. I might get the sera catfish chips and the bug bites sinking formula.

It’s my opinion that you are wrong! And the only reason that I have that opinion is because of years and years of healthy Plecos healthy reproduction and healthy long life
Try adding some garlic guard when you make the repashy gel, or soaking your veg in it! I marinate all my veggies in it, and my dwarf bristlenose goes NUTS for every veggie he’s tried!!!

I think those French green beans would be messy in your tanks. There'll be un eaten bits of them floating and clogging filters.

you should feed veggies about once a week and use other stuff every day, do cut cucumbers and zucchini you just cut it into slices :)

That depends on what that pleco can eat rule of thumb what they could eat in few hours then throw out the rest
