RIP Scot Weiland that was “Slash” and “Duff” and Matt Sorum from Guns and Roses. Scot Weiland died a few years ago after his long time struggle with addiction 😦
Saw velvet revolver before their first album came out. Nobody their knew what to expect. IT WAS EPIC!!! played a bunch of STP and G'N'R songs along with songs which were on the album when it was released. Ended the show playing negative creep by nirvana. It was CRAZY!
Loved it! And if you like Scott Weiland's voice, Stone Temple Pilots will not disappoint. Velvet Revolver was great in that moment, but STP was together for many years and created some seminal 90s rock. Edit: Check out Wicked Garden or Sex Type Thing
I play bass guitar as a hobby, and have played in a few bands that have done both Guns N Roses and Velvet Revolver covers (same bassist). Duff is an unsung hero. You need to hear Fall to Pieces by this band. It's awesome.
Scott Weiland was best known as singer for Stone Temple Pilots, one of the biggest bands of the 90s. Their HUGE hit was Plush, and they also get a lot of airplay still with other big hits Wicked Garden, Sex Type Thing (which isn't x-rated, so don't be shy about listening), Interstate Love Song, Vasoline, Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart.
I’m late af but VR was pretty cool. Poor Scott. I read Duffs autobiography. He really tried to help Scott by getting him clean at his friends cabin. Pretty heavy task since Duff had just got sober a lil while before. If Iggy Pop, Sid Vicious, and Jim Morrison had a musical Baby it would have been Scott
So love watching Scott dance. He slithers like a snake. Check out Stone Temple Pilots they have tons of hits. Or watch their MTV Unplugged. So good.. RIP Scott. Sadly missed.. 💔
One of my favorite songs of all time! The intro is so great and Slash does his thing the whole song!!!! I got to see them twice in LA before Scott died
The lead singer of velvet revolver scott weiland pronounced like why land was the lead singer of stone temple pilots and three of the members were from guns n roses including slash check out stone temple pilots songs plush and interstate love song r.i.p scott weiland
An amazing "Super-Group". Weiland was an awesome vocalist and Slash is one of the greatest guitarists of all-time. 👍✌❤ Edit: 3:58 Ah-Ha! Asia agrees with me. I do enjoy it when someone who actually knows this stuff agrees with my assessments (seeing as my only musical qualification is that I've been a voracious music-addict for nearly five decades). 😉
I had a Liquid logic Gus when this album came out. I would listen to "Big Machine" during the shuttle. I would be totally jacked when I got in the water.
You guys never heard about Velvet Revolver but I'm sure you heard about Guns 'n Roses and Stone Temple Pilots. Well, take STP's singer and add half of GnR and the result is Velvet Revolver. ; )
Slash did so much once getting away from Axl, but Velvet Revolver is the only one to get any main street play. Slash's Snake Pit was pretty good, too, though
Great song, anything from VR is definitely a bit of a mood lol My suggestions from this band would be dirty little thing, fall to pieces, and sucker train blues just to name a few. Edit: Also recommend the last fight for something a bit more relaxed.
RIP Scot Weiland that was “Slash” and “Duff” and Matt Sorum from Guns and Roses. Scot Weiland died a few years ago after his long time struggle with addiction 😦
So tragic. Scott was a great singer.
This made my day. Stone Temple Pilots was my first concert and my latest concert was Velvet Revolver. RIP Scott Weiland.

I always said when this song came out that Slash sounded happy again.
Saw velvet revolver before their first album came out. Nobody their knew what to expect. IT WAS EPIC!!! played a bunch of STP and G'N'R songs along with songs which were on the album when it was released. Ended the show playing negative creep by nirvana. It was CRAZY!
Lucky you
I bought the Contraband album right away in 2004. Love it. Duff McKagan's autobiography is excellent by the way.
The burst pancreas part scares me shitless
Blessed to have seen STP ( OG members), GNR, ( OG members) , and Velvet Revolver ( OG members)....always awsome.

Slash has soo much material to react to!

Saw them in concert Slash played that solo just 6 ft from me
I had a Liquid logic Gus when this album came out. I would listen to "Big Machine" during the shuttle. I would be totally jacked when I got in the water.

Awesome to see someone dig out some VR. Slither is a far cry from Fall to Pieces.
Listen to all the people who said, Fall to Pieces.
Slash did so much once getting away from Axl, but Velvet Revolver is the only one to get any main street play. Slash's Snake Pit was pretty good, too, though
